The kid city staff at Honolulu are amazing! We tried the drop off service a little over a month ago, and then jumped into the summer membership deal and lots of drop off summer fun days for son son. Son son adores Anela and Ranson when going to drop off. They play and conversation with him the whole time.....mind you it's usually 4-5 hour sessions. Then as he continued to do drop off services, he got to know most if not all the rest of the staff. They are all great and engage with him and on his last session gave them all cute food and fruit nick names. So sad they are closing at the Ward location, but excited to see the new location in Ala Moana in September. We are hoping the same great staff will be back too. This review has been a long time coming, as Kid City has closed its Honolulu location. Each time I visited this location with my children, the staff was friendly and helpful. I liked that they were cleaning a lot, which made me feel more at ease! There were party rooms available. I also liked how they would periodically update their equipment, games, and toys. The only thing that was usually not working well was one of the games in the video game area on the bottom floor. Other than that, my kids always had a blast here! I'm looking forward to visiting their new location opening at the old Saks Off Fifth Avenue store by the Target at Ala Moana! read more

Wow, my bestie was talking about this spot like it was underwhelming because it's been around for some time now but my baby girl didn't have enough time to experience it all because it is HUGE & we don't have anything similar to this in the Bay Area. I regretted not bringing my lil boy boy because I didn't know what to expect but there is sooo much to do and so much space for active (less than) 12 month olds like my son. My daughter loved the imaginative play. Literally all her favs in one spot. We had a grocery day, a sushi date, went to the hospital, she gave me a makeover with new make up and did my hair and we went fishing all in one spot lol. One thing I will say that I've never seen or experienced anywhere else is the staff CONSTANTLY cleaning! Bless her heart cus the amount of times this girl had to clean up after my daughter with no complaints, she was about her job and made sure everything was in its place perfectly and most importantly clean. I truly appreciate that because it makes sure each kid gets the same experience too, nobody wants to walk into a dirty play room unless it's the mess they made lol. We'll be back for sure! We have been a regular here for the past 2 years and even got the annual membership at one point until my little one started school. All the staff know us and they are always so nice to us. And I have to say the staff is really what makes Kids City special. The staff here are always smiling genuinely and make this place so welcoming. I have been to another indoor playground and just didn't get the same vibe. And this place is clean and well maintained. They have updated their games and machines a couple of times already. They pretty much have something for every age groups. My daughter has been coming here for 2 years now and still hasn't gotten tired of it! read more

My kids and I absolutely love this place! We live in the neighborhood and my 3-year old always asks to go in whenever we walk by Kids City. I finally took her and her baby sister on a Monday night when it was clear that they needed to expend some energy before bedtime. I love that they sell beverages and snacks because they don't allow outside food and drinks. I love that the arcade is unlimited play and doesn't require additional coins/tokens. My 1.5-year old was mesmerized by the pipes in the ball pit that suck up the balls. She was in there for a good 15-20 minutes just feeding balls into the tubes. I love the massage chairs placed throughout the building. It gave me something to do while my kids were playing even though I felt like a couple of parents were judging me. My 3-year old and I love the water station on the 2nd floor! I love that they don't require kids under 3 to wear their grip socks. However... I had my 1.5-year old in her own grip socks, but I wasn't aware that she wasn't allowed to wear them. Seven minutes before our end time, a staff member came over to me to say that my daughter had to go barefoot. That was the only negative experience we experienced in our 1-hour there. Kind of a late review but it better than nothing. Parking: parking can be a bit hard depending the day time at the ward village. Service: it was hands down the best experience to throw a party here. I love that they help setup up all our decorations we brought. I thought it was gonna take forever to setup but the girls that helped that day was a lifesaver. They have their own electric pump to blow up your balloons & they did it so fast & beautiful. I love how wide the spaces are for each party. Not too big & not too small. My daughter had so much fun with her friends & family. They also match your theme of the party & put it on the screen in your area. Will we have more parties here? YES, DEFINITELY! read more

Another amazing day spent at Kids City Honolulu. I was battling between going to the beach or Kids City and decided indoors with AC was the plan for today. We walked in around. 11a, and it was very quick to check in. Don't forget your Kids City grip socks, if you need a new pair you can grab for $3 each. We received our locker and key fob to put away our belongings and got straight to it. My 2 year old wanted to go straight to the second floor. Where we were greeted right away. I love that. Safe to say my daughter had the best time, we were upstairs, in the Lego area, near the slide and ball pit upstairs. We headed downstairs for some arcade fun and dance party! Phew two hours flew by. The sock policy is absurd and a pure money grab regardless of what they claim to say . I have my own GRIP socks for my workout classes and yet Kids City is trying to claim that it's there insurance that's "strict" and requiring Kid City only grip socks. At the workout studios I attend were allowed to wear any brand of grip socks and I can imagine there insurance policy is also stringent. We're parents just trying to take our children for a fun day, remember that Kids City. I hope you see this and re consider your harsh policy. I'm not alone in my opinion, and the word out is not positive on this . read more

I had to babysit my out-of -town nephew. He's 7 and we had never been to Kids City before, but I'm a little familiar with where it is because I often go to the friends of the library bookstore, which is located 2 storefronts down from kids city. It's located where the old bed bath and beyond was. I was honestly a little worried that it would be too babyish for a 7 year old. But he enjoyed playing in the trampoline area, the zip line, the slides and the stairway to heaven. It seems like the demographic is much younger though, and I think he was getting a little bored towards the end of our hour. When you get here, you queue up until it is on the hour and maybe half hour too. They let us in to check in and sign waivers a little before the hour mark and we were given a locker bracelet. We both had to buy socks because there are no outside shoes past the locker area. For $30, it was kind of a pricey experience, but my nephew had fun. I wonder if he would have just as much fun at the free playground across the street though, you know? I liked that there were plenty of places for adults to sit and that there seemed to be several employees stationed around the more dangerous areas to remind kids to play safely. There are even areas where you can host parties. This seems way cooler to have your bday party here instead of like chuckecheese. It's pricey though ofc. They offer some food options, but we ate elsewhere. I'm also glad it didn't seem too crowded. We didn't have to wait to go on any of the activities, and we came on a Saturday so I'm curious to see what it's like during the week. read more

What better place to have a kids party in the summer other than somewhere like here where it's super clean, the staff are super friendly and the playhouses are just top shelf. We purchased a 3 month Champion membership for our 6yr old son, and we are glad to report that it is well worth it. Since we homeschool, we were able to maximize our membership to its fullest and take advantage of the perks. We previously frequented a nearby park, but with the summer heat and growing crowd, it was a delight to be in air condition all the while have our son run off his energy lol. Added plus is the well-maintained and clean facility. Shoutout to the staff that has become "uncles and aunties" to our son. All of you have made our membership experience an exceptional one! Me & my Son had such a wonderful time here. Most definitely great for toddlers. Lots of things to do, clean and friendly staff. We had a great 2 hours time. Kids City has some new attractions! We visited their Honolulu location on 9/29/24. They had a new play structure in the toddler area downstairs. There were also a group of free games for any age group. Upstairs added a spin cage, stairway to heaven (need grip socks to participate), and a faster donut slide. So many cool new things for the Honolulu location! read more

Exceptional cleanliness is true. This is the cleanest kids facility I've been to in the US. I'm from California and I wish they had this there. You can see Dyson cleaners everywhere you go, and they've plenty of activities for the kids also for the parents. The projector TV for sports is also a nice addition for burned out parents. I came here twice with my 3 year old during my stay in Waikiki. They also offer arts and hula classes; basically always something for the kids to do outside of their play faculties. read more

Baby-Mommy Day Date... She's almost 2 and had fun. We played with everything and she learned a lot. Workers nice and helpful. Waivers are done on the phone, so I couldn't read that small print. As long as I wasn't giving up baby, I was fine though. I was told we just missed the busy time, so was perfect to be able to run around. Only problem was other family inside the Toddler area with shoes on. Dirty. Wish someone told them to get out...not my place to regulate. We hosted a 4th birthday party at Kids City in November 2025. As always, our son has a blast playing with all his friends at Kids City - he loves the large trampoline and water play area on the 2nd floor and balloon play area on the 1st floor. This is the first time we hosted an event at Kids City and had a great experience. We appreciate the fact that Kids City provides the option to add a Kids City helper for $50 - an option we noted that not many similar kid play places offer for parties and at a very reasonable price for all the help our Kids City helper provided ahead of and on party day. Our Kids City helpers did an amazing job and handled everything including blowing up balloons ahead of party day, setting up our decorations, loading and unloading from our car, helping us setup our food, helping us to cut cake, and helping us to clean up at the end of the party. Thanks to our Kids City helpers my family and I could focus more on enjoying the party! read more

I don't think they are the most organized for parties. We had a 9am party, wasn't allowed in early but when we arrived at 9, we were still not able to go in right away. There was a party already in another room all set up, meaning they were allowed in early for some reason. It's probably ok to come to casually with your kids for a few hours because the facilities itself is very clean and has a lot of things to offer. I would pass on planning a party here. read more
