It was a rainy start to our spring break but PUPS OF WAR salvaged it! Adults & kids had a BLAST in the arena. Even the spectators were engaged and entertained. In addition, The facility was clean and safe We even had a fan-fabulous customer service experience with (in our opinion) is the #1 employee.... S C O O B Y ‼ Huge mahalo to Braddah Scooby who was patient with the young ones and even explained that the only mahalo he needs is for us to become repeat customers. Because that is how the business truly becomes a success. If you're hesitating or think it may be costly, I promise you....its worth the experience! It's CHEAPER than an hour at most arcades!!!!!!! So grab all the Keiki's and head on down!

I like the concept, especially for active kids who are into Nerf-type guns. What I didn't like was staff not monitoring the game area and there were a handful of older, really large kids that were totally dominating the area. The younger kids did the best they could but in the end it was more just trying to avoid encountering those older kids. There was a middle aged staff member that came into the game area but he did not try to temper the older kids behavior. Both of my grandkids had a great time but we are cautious when they want to go to Pups of War with the classmates. I sent off an email to their management but got no response. Too bad because other friends have asked about Pups of War and we have to caution them and remind them to be proactive if there are players that are too aggressive in the play area.

Horrible. Came for a birthday party and the party itself was super cute. This review is solely for their workers. For me, this was the first time I came here and this worker came up to me yelling at me to take off my slippers while walking through the arena trying to get to the birthday room. I told him sorry and I took it off. First off, we were supposed to wear their pups of war socks, but they were all out so they told us to just go barefoot. First off, EWWW. My feet were so black by the time I had to put back on my slippers. The reason that made me more annoyed was when it was time to leave, I JUST walked out of the room about to take my slippers off to walk through and the SAME WORKER came to me and said ma'am you need to take your slippers off like I told you the first time !!! When I looked around, there were so many parents walking through with their slippers on and he just keep targeting me. Pups of war, do better.

    Brought his own nerf guns

-You may bring your own blaster/nerf gun to receive a discount. No need to bring bullets. -Reuse your pups of war socks if you've played here before or you have to purchase a new pair -Protective eyewear included (to be borrowed not kept) or bring your own -Ages 3 and older. My adult husband joined in on the fun too! -Sign a waiver prior to playing. We had the entire arena to ourselves! Originally they were going to turn us away as a party with 15 kiddos, their max, was about to show up. However, good thing they didn't because the party was a no show! I kind of felt bad, parties should put a deposit down. If they had turned us away, they would've lost more.. Anywho's, our small walk in party had a blast. But sadly our 2 year old couldn't play since the age starts at 3 years old to enter the arena..next year.. The workers were cool and awesome! They joined in on the fun while also ensuring the safety of our boys. There are nerf bullets all around to reload. Sanitizers are outside near the sitting area. Since there may be or may have been other kids touching these bullets, bring a small sanitizer while in the arena if you're a germaphobe. This was my son's second time playing so he already signed a waiver, or shall I say my brother took him and signed a waiver for him but his name wasn't in the system still, weird! Nevertheless, he is in the system now so we can come here and play again! Boys had a blast, maybe we'll come back so I can join in.

Don't waste your time If you're going there after 4:30PM on Sundays or after 6:30PM on Weekdays. They stop taking customers 2 hours before the mall closes even if their website and front sign says they close the same time as the mall. FYI. You have been warned.

We met with my son's classmate's family on Black Friday for a day of Nerf battling at the Pups of War Arena at Pearlridge Mall Mauka. We signed their waiver form, bought our bands and headed into the arena. Yes, the dads jumped in with the boys and had lots of fun chasing the boys around the arena. What a great idea ---- while mom shops, the kids and dads are playing Nerf Wars for a couple of hours. You can purchase different level wrist bands which allow you to select the type of Nerf gun that you will go into battle with (level 1 - regular Nerf darts, level 2 - Nerf Rival guns with round ammo, level 3 - motorized Nerf gun). Or you can bring your own Nerf guns and save $10 a visit. The great thing about this Nerf arena is that it is quite large and air conditioned. However, even with the air conditioning, we came out with shirts drenched in perspiration. Recommend bringing an extra shirt. I was exhausted after chasing the boys around the arena for 2 hours. The other great thing is that there are many places to eat at Pearlridge Mall, so you can grab a meal and return to Pups of War to play more. And that's just what we did --- ate pizza at Pieology and let boys play for another hour and a half. They had a fun time (the dad's did too). This a great place to have a birthday party (there is party area with tables in the back left of the arena). I'm still sore from running up and down ramps, dodging darts and crawling under low openings. Ha ha :)

We went to the Aiea location. Booking was easy and the worker I spoke with was accommodating and flexible. They were able to fit our youngest and oldest guests, 1yo and 13yo respectively, into the mix without compromising price and service. And when my child showed changes in who her favorite characters were, I called and making modifications was easy! It was so nice just being able show up and enjoy the party. I didn't have to plan or order or set up or break down. LOVELY. I did bring our own goodie bags to pass out in addition to the goodie bags that were included only because we did a non-food event and so I wanted to be extra and send our guests off with a tea party to-go. The event went wonderfully. So much so that I wanted to cry happy tears at how much my kiddo (and all the kiddos) we're enjoying themselves. We did add-on a visit from Rapunzel, which was our kiddo's favorite part. She relished in all the attention Rapunzel gave her. The makeover was so good! Better than overpriced face painting at Disneyland. You actually get what you're paying for. The kids were over the moon at getting fancied up and playing with the characters. The littles are still very much believers in the magic so being able to play with a fairy and learn that a mermaid used magic to have her legs for the party was nothing short of magical. If you're child is heavy into the magic, Storybook does not disappoint. The window into a toddler/young child's world is so short. This service is worth the cost.

It's really an immersive experience for little ones. From the start, the atmosphere was adorable, and I loved that the attendant was dressed as a magical creature--it really added to the whole fantasy. My daughter chose to dress up as a princess, which made everything even more special. She got her face painted first, then had glitter added to her hair and arms, and finished with sparkly nails. It honestly felt like a mini spa day just for her The staff member was incredibly patient and gentle, which made a huge difference, especially with a toddler. After the makeover, we were able to stay and enjoy the play area, take lots of pictures, and my daughter had the sweetest time having a little tea party in her princess outfit. Seeing how happy and confident she felt made it 100% worth it. I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for a special and memorable experience for your little one
