We've been coming to the Kid's Empire Monrovia location 3-4 times a week ever since they introduced the Summer Pass, and it has become one of our favorite places to take the kids. This is a wonderful indoor playground for children of all ages, from toddlers to teenagers. There are plenty of tables for parents to sit and relax, and the play areas are spacious, well-maintained, and feel very safe. They also have motorcycle rides (which require purchased tokens) and a few claw machines and stuffed animal games for extra fun. One thing that really impressed me is how seriously they take cleanliness. I've stayed until closing and watched the staff thoroughly clean and sanitize the entire play area. They even have to report everything they've cleaned each night, which gives me great peace of mind as a parent. We loved this place so much that we decided to have our child's birthday party here, and it was an amazing experience. Anthony was incredibly helpful before, during, and after the party. Melody, Amanda, Leila, and Jocelyn were also wonderful and made sure everything went smoothly. While planning the party, Jessie, Jaime, Jose, and Jaylene were all friendly, patient, and very helpful. I also want to give a special shout-out to Andrew. Every time we've visited while he was working, I've noticed how attentive he is. He always makes sure the children are playing safely, especially around the slides, and he takes the time to talk to the kids with kindness and encouragement. The air conditioning is excellent, which makes a big difference on hot days. They also offer reasonably priced snacks and treats for hungry kids. Parking has never been a problem, with plenty of spaces available. Overall, Kid's Empire Monrovia is truly a gem in the San Gabriel Valley. The caring staff, clean facility, safe environment, and fun atmosphere keep us coming back week after week. Our kids had fun! Initially, the worker Amanda was super informative and attentive to our check in.. her personality is warm and inviting.. When we checked in with her I asked if we can apply our daily pass purchase towards their summer promo deal 60 days for a little over $60. Amanda said yep. I thought ok.. the kids can try it out.. if it's fun.. if they like it.. then I'll pay $40 more for each kiddo to play unlimited for the next 60 days.. it's an enticing deal for sure. So after our kids played for three hours today.. my friend and I decided to pay the extra $40 per kid and upgrade our purchases today to the summer pass. My friend purchased the pass first. However after paying she came over with a very confused look on her face to tell me that they wouldn't credit today's purchase price towards the summer pass. My friend was confused but she bought the pass anyway. However, after talking with me and confirming that we had both heard that our purchase today could be credited towards the summer play deal..we decided to talk with Amanda about getting this misunderstanding resolved. I explained to Amanda that my friend was charged the full price for the summer play pass and that her co-worker denied being able to credit today's play purchase towards the summer play deal.. Amanda realized this was an error and asked me who sold my friend her summer pass at full price without crediting today's balance toward the deal?? My friend went with Amanda to discuss the refund and get it all straightened out.. Amanda called someone on the phone whom we assumed is a supervisor because Amanda was saying things like she hadn't done a refund before.. THEN suddenly the plan shifted. Amanda got new info from the person on the phone and she changed her stance on the purchase stating that what we were trying to do suddenly wasn't possible. Basically what happened is Amanda realized she had given us the wrong info.. but instead of the supervisor or Amanda realizing in this reality the two best options would have been to A: honor what they had clearly told us initially, allowing us to purchase the summer pass for $40+ by crediting our play pass towards the summer pass amount.. or B: at the VERY LEAST apologize! Acknowledge that there was clearly an error that happened on Amanda and the other male workers end.. they had both given us the wrong information at check in. It was quite un-nerving to suddenly be lied to directly to our face.. it was laughable honestly that anybody would make this choice.. it was so ridiculous.. except it's not funny. It's terrible customer service. Why I'm spending more life force energy on writing this review?? in the small hopes that Amanda and the supervisor will learn something additional about customer service. Also, so that others may be spared their precious time and stress. To whom it may concern: also to Amanda and the supervisor, It would have been better in this situation to accept the extra $40+ dollars from my friend and the $80 + extra dollars from me.. instead of lying to our faces . Amanda when you recognized that you misunderstood the policy.. you could have simply said that you made a mistake.. then explained to your supervisor the truth.. that you had told us that we could purchase that pass for the additional $40+ later today. Then the supervisor should have honored that pricing.. What happened when you decided to just pretend that you never said any of this.... and by not admitting any fault.. it made us more stressed and frustrated.. but The worst part about all of this mess for me was the strange little smirk that you got on your face when I told you that I was going to change the review that you asked me to write from a 5 star to a one star.. because that's what this experience warrants! It took 15 minutes to attempt to sort this mess out initially.. and nothing got resolved.. its was minimally stressful and now that dumb smirk on Amanda's face is in my mind.. I've spent another 20 minutes writing this explanation. The business could have had an extra $120 bucks today.. instead.. my friend will cancel her membership with the credit card company.. we all won't ever be back and we also bought over $25 worth of snacks! lol. I am a business owner myself.. it's business 101 to become obsessed with your clients wants and needs. The playing was fun! initially the customer relations were very nice.. super friendly staff and the place is clean..kids had a blast. It's actually a great place to play. The staff is really nice. Even giving us the wrong info it's not the end of the world.. it's the principle.. when you make a mistake say you made the mistake.. as a valued customer... I expect you to honor what we were initially told.. in this case, the business still would have made an extra $120! On top of the $70 we spent on admissions today. Leila and Amanda at Kids Empire are the best ! I bring my kids here and every so often. The crew is generally very nice, and they keep the place clean. There are some super slides as seen in the pictures, kids love it. A couple of claw games keeps the adults entertained as needed I wanted to thank Leila and Amanda particularly as they were very thoughtful to my family's overall experience at KE. They tried to keep my table clean, they reached for the drinks in the back hoping to get the coldest ones for my kids, they were polite to not let other people cut in line. Such a fun and safe environment for the kiddos! I bring my 3 boys here all the time when they need to burn off steam. They are ages four, seven, and nine and we have been coming for a few years. I love how it is a great place for very small children and the bigger kids! There is a separate play area with softer materials for children still in diapers. Plenty of tables for parents to sit around and take a break. I just wish they would let you bring in your own food, but they do sell some snacks. Plenty of parking at this location as well! I've come here for birthday parties, and the kids have a good time. It's not a place that I would personally book, because you do share the space with lots of other people. But the kids have fun, so I can't complain too much. read more

My kids LOVE Kids Empire. We have come here for multiple birthday parties (Kindergarten & 1st grade) and to just play. We have played here when it is absolutely packed and when it is empty. Each time the kids have had a great time and want to come back. The eating area is spacious and open. It is well-lit (except when they turn out the lights to parade the dragon mascot around for singing happy birthday to kids). The playground is colorful and tons of fun. Overall, this is a great place to host a birthday party and treat your kids to an amazing play date. The staff are helpful, courteous and do their best to help everyone have a good experience. Came here for a bday party. Have a lot of mixed feelings about it. Here's the breakdown: Pro: - Love how it's spacious, the jungle gym is as well. Simple and much safer than Sky-zone type jumpers. - They have underground like motorbike under the gym that was cool. - Very fairly priced for parties and unlimited play time. Cons: - They do not allow outside food/drinks unless you purchase the highest party pkg (although many places are same) BUT other places would also sell food there. They mainly sell snacks, candy & general drinks. - No shoes allowed even in common area which makes zero sense. Everyone drops food and spills drinks while everyone trample all over them. Everyone's socks were extremely dirty ESPECIALLY the kids playground which seems a bit concerning to me. - So unsure if they even clean or wipe down the place area routinely. Suggested changes if they are reading this: - hoping they can add more food items for sale like pizza slices, nachos, popcorns, grilled cheese, fries etc. if not allowing outside food. - allow shoes in common eating area and restrooms but block out no shoes in play area instead. read more

No pics, since theres a lot of kids in pictures. This is my 2nd time here for my nephew, he loves this place. I think it's mainly because he is a popular kid and has lots of friends. Something like this is more suitable for parties. It's a big place with 2 separate play areas. One for big kids and a soft play for young ones if say 4 and younger. The pizza offered here is decent, they outsource the pizza to a nearby shop as part of the party package. My sister in law gets more food(outside of KE) on top of that since the parents are just sitting and waiting (they might as well eat something BETTER) Kids empire doesn't charge anything extra for outside food. Filthy bathrooms without ANY toilet paper in any stall except the one covered in feces and urine. (I'm not joking) I should have taken a photo. Absolutely unbelievable. We paid $75 for some snacks and 2 entry fees. I left a message with the manger and also left a note and filled out an online survey. Nothing No call back. No response. Totally unacceptable and it looks like the toilet paper had been out for some time. There wasn't a single paper towel, seat cover, scrap of toilet paper, nothing. And since they are that giant roll type, those last a long time. When was the last time anyone checked the bathrooms. It was gross, unsanitary and unacceptable. I wouldn't bring my kids here ever again, despite years of bringing them here. This is the 2nd time the bathrooms were basically out of toilet paper but this time it was every single stall except the one that looked like a porta potty at a festival full of drunk teenagers.
