They wanted almost 1700 worth of work including the syrup to sedate our son to fill 3 "cavities". They instantly wanted a down payment for this work to be done and my husband told them that he needed to go over it with me prior to agreeing. So we made an appt at dentists of gilbert crossroads and it was a night and day difference as far as opinions go. Mind you we never were asked to get X-rays the first day at this location so all they did was clean our sons teeth. Gilbert crossroads did an X-ray and they all have separate rooms so you aren't sitting next to a bunch of kids is what my husband said. He said it was very odd the way the set up is between the two he didn't care for the huge bay of 7-8 kids sitting so close to one another. So second opinion today at the other office we selected only wanted 65 dollars to disc between his two front teeth, X-rays, and noticed the cavities he did have were so small it didn't make sense to fill it when they are just going to fall out. The back "cavity" we were told at this office didn't even show up on the X-ray at the second office on his images. Why tell someone they have a cavity if you don't have concrete proof in an image?? Seriously. Thanks for making parents worry/panic. Glad we didn't come here after all and won't be recommending to others.

honestly, i didn't know what to expect when my son and i showed up for his first appointment at…read morethis office. we are new to arizona and i have had both good and bad experiences in the past in all medical-type environments, as my son is autistic, and i never know just how far i can push him on a daily basis. the first thing i noticed was how warmly we were greeted. the nice blonde-ish gal at the front desk met eyes with me and smiled the moment i opened the door. somebody give her a raise! there was a movie playing in the lobby, which was awesome because as soon as my son realized we were in a "doctor office", he wanted to leave immediately. having the movie on settled his nerves and he chilled out in his chair until i finished the paperwork and we got called back. still uncertain and a little wary of how my son would react, the dental assistant asked me first and foremost if we were doing okay.. if we needed anything.. i explained our situation and she responded with sincere compassion, kindness, and understanding. my son let her look in his mouth and even clean his teeth. let me emphasize how huge it is that he allowed a stranger in his mouth! oh but the best part? when they lean the kids' chairs back, the same movie from the lobby is playing on a tv on the CEILING. this is above and beyond.. not to mention genius. another thing i will say about this office.. they have the one dentist and i swear i couldn't have chosen someone who treated my son with so much dignity and respect. of course my tiny human was in tears but i could tell that this man really cares about his patients. he took his time with my son, was patient with him, explained to me (the worrying mommy) what i needed to know, gave me adequate time to ask questions.. did not rush me out the door. overall i felt that my son and i were well taken care of.. i have never felt so comfortable being at the dentist, especially with my son. 5 stars across the board.

Initial appointment time was 12 noon for my 4 year old. They called the day before and changed it to 11:30am. Then we get a call the morning of the appointment saying we need to be there at 10:30am. We arrive at 10:30am and then wait until 1pm... our 4 year old hadn't eaten since 6pm the night before. He was crying and saying his stomach hurt. He wasn't allowed to eat breakfast because his appointment was moved to 11:30am and he needed to have at least a 6 hour window with no food. If we had kept his original appointment of 12noon, then he could have eaten breakfast, but they moved up his appointment so he wasn't allowed to eat. During the 2 and a half hour wait we had to walk around the office in search of someone to give us an update. Not once did anyone come to us with any kind of an update. That's pathetic. I have no idea how anyone would give this place a 5 star. Worst service ever. They handled this situation as if they've never handled or dealt with children at all. How could any children's dentist expect a 4 year old to 1, wait in an office for over 2 hours. 2, how could they have nobody come out to do the polite thing and update us. 3, do all this while knowing the 4 year old hadn't eaten anything since the night before at 6pm. My advice to anyone looking to have work done here... DONT!... Run the opposite direction to a different dental office for kids. They have no idea what they're doing here. I had to have a tooth pulled. If I had to describe my experience id say traumatic. I am 17 yrs old terrified of dentists because of the trauma this place gave me as a kid. They gave me anesthetics but due to the harshness of the meds it made me throw up. I understand you can't give a child more because you don't know how much was left in their system however numbing shots can be used multiple times. I went through a procedure that gave me long term trauma no kid should experience. Let me lay it out. After the anesthetics made me sick they took me in a back room. No windows and my parents couldn't be with me. As a kid I was afraid and alone I also have horrible anxiety so I was off the roof anxious. The procedure started and I felt pain. No normal pain excruciating pain, I was in tears and the doctor showed no empathy he told me to stop crying. Who the hell says that to a kid? When we got home I was super upset. Till this day my parents apologize for what this place put me through. Still hooked on the fact a parent wasn't allowed to be there and he told me to stop crying. I went through this tooth pulled with no meds, I felt EVERYTHING. I wish we would've sued. Unfortunately now it's too late but when we had the chance we should've taken it. Please don't take your kids here they are made of all money. If you want a good dentist go to ABC Dentistry for Children in Gilbert. They are amazing and when you get procedures done it's comfy and welcoming. I went to ABC after this place and got more than enough numbing and a warm blanket. There was a window for my mom to watch and make sure I was okay. During a fill my mom was allowed to hold my hand while I was being numbed and then the doctor took over and let me squeeze her hand. They are loving and sweet and financially able to take care of you properly. Save your kids some trauma.
