I called the office to let them know I was in the way when I get to the office they tell me he doesn't have an appointment because the insurance didn't cover until December. Great visit beginning to end! Kids are looking forward to coming back! One of my kids needed X-rays. X-rays are usually a struggle but they were really good working with them. Be careful giving this place a negative review. wrote a review on another site and we were dismissed as patients. I don't mind because I have my kids established elsewhere now but for some it might be a big deal. I also find it very unprofessional and child like to send me a screenshot of my review. I'd like to say that my children loved dr Desi and I believe he is the owner. I have nothing negative to say about him however his staff is making this a real horrible place to take your children and this letter I received shows that as well. I'd expect an apology for my kids experience but instead we got booted. Very unprofessional. They also blocked me on Facebook. I was very pleased with Kids World Dental for it was my daughters first time there and experience with getting her teeth cleaned. All of the staff was very kind and informative. They made my daughter feel comfortable which I loved for they understand they are working with children. It was very clean & very up to date and I'm very happy a place like this accepts Medí-Cal for this is a way better place than western dental. Trust worthy staff , I will continue with my daughters cleanings here. I was hesitant to going here because of the reviews but while I was there everyone seemed happy and was being called right away. Both of my kids went here for like 2 years. They told me my daughter had "a minor cavity" and she needed to come back every 3 months to monitor. Meanwhile the cavities continued to get bigger and bigger. Not once did I see them clean her teeth or do anything other than tell me this was "normal". Then my daughter's tooth became so bad it became infected and her whole face is swollen. She is now on antibiotics for the infection. I took her to another dentist and am told that one of her teeth needs to be extracted because it's so rotten and 3 others need a "baby root canal" and this whole time I'm taking her to kids world every 3 months while they're watching her teeth rot out of her head. Worst dental clinic ever. Would give 0 stars if I could. read more

I took my son to his appointment on Monday and they told me he had 5 cavities but they couldn't fill them there because he was aged out so they referred me to another place, but I ended up finding a place on my own because I didn't trust their referrals. Well I took my son today to his new dentist and he has Zero cavities!!!! Kids world is always in a hurry, the doctors just want you in and out and don't explain anything to you. I'll be looking for a new dentist for my youngest son now!!! read more

I'll give this 3 stars because the staff was very friendly and pleasant. They were sweet to my boys and made them feel welcomed and comfortable. The reasons I cannot give 5 stars are below: 1. The waiting room was unbearably crowded to the point of feeling claustrophobic. While busy is good for business there was literally no room to stand or sit. 2. I chose this place because it looked like a fun and inviting place for my children to relax while waiting for their cleaning. Unfortunately the children's area was so incredibly small only 3 children could comfortably sit in that area. Of course, at least 8-9 were sitting on top of each other and cramming every corner. They have games or rather one tv up high that you can barely here and one tv for gaming with two controllers. My children were forced to stand in a cramped space because there was no room and nothing for them to occupy their time with. This wouldn't be a problem if their office wasn't advertised as a place for children to engage in activities while waiting. 3. This reason alone I would give 1 star review BUT the friendliness of the staff saved that. The guy who did my boys cleaning was very nice HOWEVER!!!! he was busy watching tv while cleaning my sons teeth. He didn't really engage during the cleaning and he certainly did not turn the channel to an appropriate show for my sons ages. The X-ray area had Nick Jr and other age appropriate shows which I appreciated however this guy didn't bother to change it. I asked my son several times if it was cartoons or age appropriate and my 6 year old said No I don't know what this is. I didn't want to be rude but I should have said this is a pediatric dentist please change the channel. It wasn't inappropriate but it wasn't a children's show. I came to this specific dentist to give my children a child's experience. For these reasons I am looking elsewhere for a more spacious, engaging pediatric dentist. Otherwise I'd just take them to our regular dentist but I wanted them to have a fun, learning experience. Disappointed in this place for sure. read more

Called in regards to my daughter's tooth ache and they refused to see her same day.. when I call back hours later stressing concerns on how her conditions have worsen, I'm told they would take her in but due to her fever they cannot see her. This meant to me that when I had Initially called, there was a possibility for her to be seen before her conditions worsen, and at least be advise due to the fact that this is her primary Dentist. I will be moving my daughter to Modesto Kids Dentist and will be following up with her insurance in regards to questionable work. read more

Literally had him open his mouth and told me to come back in six months. They have overbooked themselves, the staff doesn't even fit at the front desk space, they do not explain anything to you, they are just trying to get the paperwork signed to charge you/insurance and do not provide any actual services. Please take your kids somewhere else if you are concerned about their Dental care. Such a waste of time and visit! Don't even waste your time. I was bringing my three kids here for like two years. The ONE time I had to reschedule because we live in Patterson and I was having car trouble, they said, 'No problem!' I told them I'd call back to let them know if we could make it at a later time in the day. When I called back later to reschedule for a different day, they said, 'Well since you missed this appointment, we can't schedule all three of them together anymore.' I said, 'But I live in Patterson... you're telling me I'd have to bring one child, possibly taking them out of school, and do that three times?' She was super rude too. My daughter went in for a cavity first off the filling had fell off and she was in pain in took months to get an appointment they left umber in paid for a long time ridiculous. Well today she went in and when the doctor and assistance came in they didn't even check her chart and just started drilling with no anesthesia while she was in pain . Then she complained and they checked her chart and realized she was not given any anesthesia so they proceeded to give it to her. This is just unexceptionable. Complete waste of time! My first impression of the office was great! The set up was kid-friendly with a colorful, modern décor. The dental assistant was very sweet & accommodating and the receptionist was friendly. However, I cannot say anything positive about the dentist (The most important piece to the puzzle!). I admit, my son is wiggly but I would be hesitant to cooperate too if a woman walked into my room with an attitude, didn't greet me properly, and just expected me to say "ahhh". This dentist might be fine for "typical" children, but not for those with special needs. I asked about it when I scheduled the appointment, and was told that yes, they do treat special needs kids. At the appointment, they didn't even try to warm up to my child when they called him back. He immediately flipped out. We get back to the dental chairs, and husband was able to hold him on his lap, and they were telling him, "hold his legs down, turn his head this way, open your mouth, etc." All while my son was screaming. They stood by watching with their mouths open. It was awful. They told us, "Go wait in the lobby while we write a referral for X-rays and cleaning under sedation." They have a nice, clean office. Movie screens at the chairs. Video games and movies in the waiting room. Just not a place for children with special needs in my experience. read more

Dr. Desai gave my two year old beautiful teeth! She had feeding difficulties and suffered damage to her two front teeth because of prolonged bottle use. After many consultations with different doctors, we decided to go with Dr. Desai (the male) good bedside manner and explained everything in detail. My daughter had to go under general anesthesia- his anesthesiologist was awesome as well! Best part- they allowed us to go to the surgery room-in and out as we pleased! Minus one star for that monotone, no personality, lady DDS. I took my other daughter for a regular cleaning. She glanced in her mouth not even touching her and said- she's fine then walked out. Didn't realize that was even the dentist. I could have disputed the charge- because there was no service provided, but decided not to. I'd like to go back- to the male DDS. read more

Hands down the best dental place for kids!!! Samantha in the front was so nice and professional, clean and comfortable office space. My daughter needed X-rays, cleaning and then treatment everything went so smooth, waiting time was good the Dr Liz and girls in the back were just great the way they speak to the kids is so cute letting them know what's going on and what's gonna happen next I wish I'd taken my daughter sooner vs a non childrens dental place, kids world dental is suitable for kids which helped my daughter with her fear of going to the dentist. We've never had a problem here. The staff has always been nice and have been really kind to our kids and explained everything they were doing to them as well as me. A filling did fall out of my sons tooth literally as we were paying so they took him back in right away and redid it a different way since it was such a thin filling. We've been here a couple of times we decided not to get some X-ra itys due to the fact that he's been getting x-rays every visit.. after the 7th time asking for the x-rays I got a little frustrated , they were not too happy about it. Appointment consisted of a cleaning and x-rays we just wanted the cleaning done today .. this place does have a nice quality staff but it all seems like the business part of it and billing is more important then the patient ... After they finally stopped asking about the x-rays they filled out a huge report regarding us not wanting the x-rays.....it was the fastest cleaning ever done , I honestly felt like they just rushed through it like a fast food restaurant... Warning: AVOID THIS DENTIST OFFICE! They say they are kids friendly. The dentist in the treatment side are not patient with kids at all. They are extremely rude and not do not care how upset your children are. The assistant that was in the room with us did not even speak to my daughter. She was getting nitro and the lady wouldn't even tell her how to breath to help her calm down and get the gas in her body. They did not want to do her work. They got upset when my 7 year old did as well. We will never be returning. I spoke with a supervisor and she cared less. Came in was treated good. Got to the back and two Hispanic nurses told my daughter she was nasty and switched to another room. I don't know what kind of people would treat a kid that way. I honestly would not recommend this place at all, they rush the kids so fast that the Doctor over reads the x_rays. My daughters appointment was to review and fill existing cavities and when we were taken to the back no new x-rays were done and the doctor reviewed her previous ones in a matter of seconds, stating my daughter had no cavities when I clearly knew from the previous appointment that she did. I was then asked if I would like x-rays done at this visit, when this visit should have been to place fillings on existing cavities. Very unfortunate experience, my child is on the autism spectrum and they were not understanding of the fact that I need to be present when my child is receiving care, they stated that all kids with disabilities do fine, as speaking for mine, no not all children have the same challenges and mine needs to be reassured i am present so we prevent any problems, I voiced my concern and they preceeded to ask a manager and was told that everyone needs to be treated the same to be fair, well its not the same situations, will be looking elsewhere for dental care for my child as this facility does not work with special needs patients. read more
