Absolutely wonderful pediatric dentist! We have been bringing both of our children here and cannot say enough good things! From the moment you walk in, the whole team makes you feel welcome, but what really sets this practice apart is Dr. Im. From the first visit she put our kids at ease instantly. Dr Im always takes the time to explain things in a way they understand, and makes the whole experience feel calm instead of scary. The care and attention given to each child is genuine and that is not easy to find. We have selected dental insurance plans based on whether Kidventure is in-network because it is a deal-breaker for us to keep her as our kids' dentist. Dr Im never pushes procedures that aren't necessary and always explains the pros and cons of any procedure. The office is bright and clean and the televisions mounted over the dental chairs help keep the kids entertained. I bring all three of my younger kids here, originally by the recommendation of my orthodontist. I'm so glad he recommended Dr. Im! We've never used a pediatric dentist before; it was only ever a family dentist. And what a different experience it is to have someone who enjoys children and working with them versus a general practitioner! Dr. Im is so sweet and professional while maintaining a fun, happy rapport with the kids. She genuinely seems to like my kids and always has a good laugh joking with the little one. They all like her too and never mind having to go to their appointments. She's very thorough with the care and maintenance of their oral health and always discusses everything in detail with me. She's never pushy and is conservative with any work that needs to be done. I love that because a lot of times, dentists are seen as used car salespeople or shady mechanics that try to upsell you with work you don't need just to make an extra dime. It never feels that way with Dr. Im. Instead, she talks with you about what you, as a parent, need to do in order to keep their teeth and gums healthy. The office is so clean and always looks and smells pleasant and welcoming. My wife had heard RAVE REVIEWS about how great this location is. We called to confirm that they took our insurance (DELTACARE USA... through our Kaiser Plan). **They DO have a contract with DeltaCare USA... When I called to inquire, they said that they will NOT see a 7-year-old as they are NOT covered under that plan (as per the contract). I called DeltaCare, and they said this was incorrect. For a pediatric visit, they cover THROUGH age 7... But specifically with Kaiser, they're covered through age 19. DeltaCare said they should just call in and verify coverage and they will see my daughter is covered. I called the office back and they said I was wrong. I had to INSIST that they just call and check. They finally said ok... (I think to get me off the line). They said they'd get back to me. 5 days later they finally said the doctor called the insurance and confirmed they do not take the insurance, but offered to give my daughter a referral to a different dentist. This didn't pass the smell test... I politely declined and immediately called the insurance company. DeltaCare said again... KIVENTURE DENTAL WAS WRONG, my daughter is covered and they have an existing contract with them that would cover her. They placed me on hold while they called them. After 5 minutes they came back and explained the truth... The dentist told them that yes they knew that there is an existing contract and that my daughter would be eligible for treatment... but they said to DeltaCare that it was their POLICY NOT to treat 7-year-olds with a Kaiser plan since in the past it was difficult getting PAID.... Question... why not just say it's our policy NOT to accept your insurance even though we have a contract. So they lied to me about their contract since they only care about $$$$ and getting paid FAST. I told my wife, why are we trying to beg these people to treat our beautiful daughter when they don't want us. She insisted we figure it out to make sure we were not being discriminated against. And the good news is that they discriminate against EVERYONE with that policy. AVOID THESE LIARS. AVOID KIDVENTURE DENTAL. GREED is NOT good. read more

Dental visit was GREAT! It was the first time my 4 year old son had been to the dentist so I was really nervous to how he would react. The Doctor was extremely patient and was able to speak to my son in such a way that he felt comfortable and willing to go through with the dental exam, x rays, and cleaning. The medical assistant who performed the xrays and cleaning was really nice too! Great place for kids! They have a movie playing for the kids (attached on ceiling) while they get the exam and cleaning and even have flavored toothpaste kids can pick for the cleaning. I used to take my children here for their routine cleaning and check ups for several years. The place looks nice and kids friendly with kids movie and games, but don't let it fool you. Every time, I took my kids here, they would cried due to the pain the hygienist inflicted on them while she cleaned their teeth. They came home and were not able to chew their foods for a couple of days afterward. I finally decided to take them to another dental office, and my children are now happy and no longer afraid of going to the dentist. My son was very comfortable with this dentist. He was usually very scared and nervous with other dentist we have visited. He had various cavities and needed crowns put on his baby teeth. We had to return because the crown was not allowing him to eat. While I could complain about her staff treatment of my wife when she called to get help, I will just say some employee training is needed. This is why I can not give 5 stars. We did return a fee days later after our first appointment to fix his crowns. Dr. IM did fix problem and he is doing great. I would recommend this dentist. Her facilities are set up for kids and the environment was relaxing. My son will return in two weeks to complete the work. He was treated with kindness and respect. read more

My son has been a patient here's since he was 2 years old. He's now 5 and I can't imagine going anywhere else. My son used to be very anxious, to the extent that we were seeing an occupational therapist. Through the years Dr Im and her staff were always very patient despite his resistance and screaming (due to his anxiety, not pain). At 5 years old we recently brought him, bracing ourselves for anxiety and screaming. Surprisingly he did very well! Dr Im is always gentle and patient with him. She is always mindful of the child's age and will decide what procedure or medications to take for young children or toddlers. I'm not kidding, we got home and my son wanted to look at my teeth with a microscope. Now he wants to be a dentist. Thank you Dr Im and Team! read more

Really like this dentist. Working with little ones is tough. They kid and scream. She made it easier by making the process faster. Even gave me a suggestion to calm him down ("stand up and hold him so he thinks you're leaving") and lessen the cry, while we talked about improving his dental hygiene. It worked. The waiting room is kid-friendly. Toys & movies. The lady at the front desk was okay by not as friendly. Maybe it was an off day. Other than that the staff is nice. I'm one of those people who hate going to the dentist. Whether it be for myself or even if it's just taking my kids in for a check-up. I just get a lot of anxiety. But since it's one of those things you have to do, Kidventure Dental is the place to go. Their office is super kid friendly. There is always a G-rated movie playing on their flat screen in the lobby, lots of toys and books to choose from, and two computers full of fun, age-appropriate games to pass the waiting time. Let's just say that my toddler didn't get bored while waiting for big sister's appointment to get over. They also have their office decorated cute for the holidays. And their prize/rewards for after the appointment are actually worthwhile). And patients each have their own TV monitor to watch a movie while sitting in the chair. My poor 5-year-old needed a decent amount of dental work done. But Dr. Im was extremely friendly, caring, and willing to answer all of my questions and concerns. She was very patient with both my daughter and myself. I actually felt as like she devoted all her time and attention to my daughter, because she was the only patient at the time. I like the fact that she doesn't overbook and bounce back and forth between patients. The only thing I didn't like was that I wasn't able to sit in the room with my daughter while she was getting work done. That made me a little nervous to have to experience that on her own. But thankfully my daughter was tough and brave and did just fine. It helps that she is comfortable with Dr. Im as well. They did, however, let me peek through the window on her whenever I wanted. I guess they do it this way because sometimes parents can cause distractions, which is understandable. I would recommend her to other parents looking for a good dental experience or their children. read more

The Kidventure dental is GREAT !!!! My wife and I want to Thank both the Dr. Im and the wonderful staff. My son had major dental surgery done. The Dr. Im and Staff were very understanding and helpful. My son had to be put to sleep and the work had to be done. My son is NOT very good with pain and (one very sensitive child). After the work was done he was NOT very happy,but was not in any pain from the surgery. Dr. Im was able to speak Korean and explain in detail of the process and that put us at peace. Thank you DR. This is a long overdue review for a great caring pediatric dentist. We found Dr Im two years ago on yelp. We have been coming every 6 months for the kids. The waiting room is kid-friendly with movies, computers, toys, and kiddie floor mat. This eased my kids mind when they first stepped in the office. The staff remain the same for the 2 years we have been coming. This says along about the organization and the doctor. The receptionist was friendly and smiley after some chit-chat with her. Please understand they do work long hours with insurance and clients. After we go in, there is an XRAY area and two treatment chairs with TVs on the ceilings. The dental hygienist are very nice and sweet to the kids. Dr Im herself is very knowledgeable and gentle with the kids. She always takes time to speak to the parents. We trust her. read more

Had an appointment for my son to have 3 filling with oral sedation. Day before they tell me they don't want to do the oral sedation. Not that they can't, just that they don't want to do it. Had the appointment for over two weeks. Made plans and scheduled customers accordingly for it. Tone in her voice was like she doesn't care and a long silent pause with no other information other than the dr. Wouldn't want to do it. Didn't ask the dr. If they would be willing or not. Just answered for them. Don't understand why last minute the excuse is given. Complete waste of time and effort. read more

If I could rate them at more than 5 stars I would...my girls started crying the second they realized it was a dentist office but were quickly comforted and distracted by the wonderful staff. They have computers for the kids to play games on amongst other nice and clean toys. My oldest had an appt. and they allowed my youngest to watch as she was having her check up and cleaning. The Dr. was very friendly and involved with my daughter. My girls are very happy after this appt. And can't stop taking about how much better this dentist office is than the one we used to take them to. read more

We were in need of a new dentist and I found Dr. Im recommended on Yelp so I took my two kids, 4 & 10, several months ago for our first visit. Dr. Im is great. Her assistants are also great. The office is clean and the equipment looks new. Dr. Im explained everything clearly and my kids had no problem taking X-rays and getting their teeth cleaned. I was able to sit in with my kids during all the procedures. We don't have dental insurance and her rates are very reasonable. I highly recommend Dr. Im and Kidventrue Dental. read more

Kidventure receptionist answered the phone and when I said I wanted an appointment for my daughter she did not ask my name, her name, problem, or anything about us. She wanted my insurance info. I said that I would like to ask some questions first and then got through the questions reluctantly with one word responses, decided to make an appointment to evaluate the office and just to see options. They wouldn't let me without my insurance info. I gave the insurance name and typically, they look it up on the website. Would not do it without the card in my hand, which I didn't have with me. Great dentist, horrible customer service. I had an appointment in Dec. for my daughter for which I received a postcard reminder and a phone call. I cancelled my own dental appointment, which I had inadvertently scheduled at the same time as hers, and even picked up my daughter early from school. When we got to the office, the front desk said she didn't have any record of my appointment. Whaaaaat??? I was almost in tears. Eventually, they agreed to get her teeth cleaned and told me the consultation will be in January (for insurance reasons). That would have been fine, except I never got my appointment. Been coming here for over 2 years now. Dr. Im and her staff are great. All 3 of my kids go to her, 10,11 &14 in ages. My two youngers never got any work above a cleaning. My 14 year old needed a lot of work and Dr. Im referred out for some of the work she couldn't do but did her filings of which my daughter said were as painless as they could be. She never tries to sell unnecessary dental work. She gets along well with my kids especially with my very talkative daughter. Can't say enough good things about the staff and Dr Im at Kidventure. All 4 of my children are now patients here after horrible experiences with another dentist. Kidventure is kid friendly!! TV running with Disney movies in the waiting area, toys for little guys, 2 computers with games for older kids. The exam area is warm and friendly, tv screens hang from the ceiling for the kids to view during their cleaning. The patient gets their own set of wireless headphones so they can hear the movie running and have a nice little distraction. Kids get a little prize after each step of their visit, lots of choices as well. Dr. Im had to do a lot of work on one of my children, the room where they do fillings and crowns is just as friendly... tv above, headphones, choice of flavor for nitrous. The Dr works fast! She's thorough but works quickly on fillings and crowns and is done quickly to minimize time in the chair. If you are looking for a new dentist or have had a less than pleasant experience with your child, try Kidventure. As much as this may sound biased, I think a female dentist can be soothing to children. Especially a dentist who has young children herself, she knows their interests and the schools in the areas and is exceptionally friendly and open. read more
