I'm writing this review as I'm sitting in front of the store that is supposed to be open but is closed at 10:10am. I called before to get an appointment and was told it's just walk ins, first come first served. They said they opened at 10am. I got here at 9:58am and no one is inside. I've now waited until 10:10am and still no one is here. I drove 20 mins to come to this place and am very disappointed. This is why you should make appointments so if you have an emergency then you can cancel. You've now lost business because of this. read more

I took my son here after reading that they were trained to deal with autism. The experience was fine, nothing amazing I did most of the work calming him down. The facility wasn't the cleanest but I assumed they possibly had a client right before us . Anyway my issue was that my 3 year old son was in the chair less than 15 minutes. He had a very small trim and the price of it was 25$$$ that's more than I pay for a whole cut! I had to ask her to cut more off because it was still in his eyes. We came here for my son's first haircut. What a great experience! We had no wait when we arrived as walk-ins, we got to pick the car we wanted (the firetruck), and the staff was so nice. They have cartoons in each station, plus toys and a dispenser of animal crackers to keep kids occupied. His haircut turned out great. We did the first hair cut package for $20, which includes a certificate/ picture holder, and a lock of hair attached in a baggie. Very cute! A little busy these days for the holiday season I guess. We went on a weekday and we had about a 20-30 mins wait. Thankfully they have a bunch of toys to keep kids entertained. Made an appointment for 3:00 today for my daughter to get her hair trimmed. Got there at 2:45 and didn't get in the chair until 3:15, but the wait wasn't a big deal. They only had two stylists which seemed odd since there were several chairs available, but again not a big deal. Once my daughter got in the chair they let her pick a movie to watch and gave her animal crackers. Her stylist was very sweet and did a great job. The only thing I thought was a little uncomfortable was the name is Kidz Kutz and more. The "more" part is they sell toys, hair products, backpacks and other cute little kid items. What I didn't like were the signs everywhere that said "you play with toys- you buy" and also "you break, you buy". If you are going to be late for appointments people have scheduled at a kids place I don't think you should expect them not to touch the toys or be so pushy with the "you break you buy" signs on every shelf. They had a hand written sign on the door that stated they would be closed on Monday for Memorial Day and the Saturday before Memorial Day they would be closing at 5pm. Other than the fact that we drove all the way over there and to our luck still arrived within their open window on a Saturday at 4:45pm.... one lady asked us to sign in, the other said they were closed. One child haircut doesn't take more than 15 mins. It's absolutely ridiculous - people need to value their jobs and their business more. We brought our 2 year old here for his first hair cut and had an amazing experience. Shawonda cut his hair and was so friendly and bubbly with our little guy. He's a wiggly toddler and got out of the chair during the hair cut to play with the train set and she had no problem following him around and cutting his hair as he played. As a parent, you get a bit picky with the services you get for your kid and this place has been nothing but a pleasure for the last 3 years. Absolutely recommend. Ruby was lovely with my 20month old, she was very patient and did a good clean cut! My only complaint are all the toys that are for sale and the signs not to touch them. We to took our son here for his 1st haircut after reading some of the great reviews and we weren't disappointed. We were walk in customers and were lucky to have Ruby as our stylist. The moment our son sat in the fireman chair, he just cried like crazy. He cried the entire time but Ruby was so patient and kept cutting his hair while trying to console him. I love this place. It is by far the best place to take a toddler for a haircut. Two new train tables, movies, car chairs, toys and a really nice lady running it. She has even cut my kid's hair while he played when he didn't want to get in the chair. After a bad first experience, we tried this one and haven't left. They are cheaper than the others in town and I've never waited. Not sure how they stay in business because we are always the only ones in there. But the manager lets us stay and play trains afterward as long as we want and my 2 year old always feels comfortable with her. She won't do something if the kid's not ok with it, like not using the clippers or drape. Just a really comfortable, even fun place for a little kid. They do adult haircuts too, which I've never done but am tempted because of the entertainment for the little one. read more

The stylist was sweet and listened to what I wanted and made suggestions without being pushy. They have "cars" for the kids to sit in while they get their haircut and watch tv. Ruby was great, my son hate getting haircuts. We usually have to sit with him on our lap to cut his hair, but ruby was great she had him sit on the car chair and strapped with the seat belt. (First time he sat alone) She distracted my son, sang with mickey mouse to my son, gave him cookies, she didn't want us to interfere with him just had us sit in the sidelines. Of course my son wasn't the best he still cried and moved but she was calm and relaxed. So that been said she's definitely know how to work with kids even the cranky ones. I would not come back ever again. The lady who cut my son's hair was rushing to finish with him because he was crying. And he was he only customer at the time. I would be more understanding if the place was busy. But no one was waiting and she just rushed through it to get it over with. He was traumatized by the haircut. Then she told me it was my fault for not taking him to get haircut frequently. There is a reason why: I wanted to grow his hair long. I'm really disappointed. Found this place after a bad experience at another "kids" place. Instantly fell in love with Kids Kutz & More. The owner/stylist is AMAZING with the kids. Very patient and kind. She never makes them do anything they arent comfortable with, and unlike the first place we tried, she doesn't have a problem with small kids who wiggle or aren't completely cooperative. My daughter has been going since she was 1 and is now 3. She LOVES going to get her hair cut because she gets to play with the trains, watch videos and she gets a special "prize" (either animal crackers or a sucker) from the lady after her cut. Prices are good and it's close to my house. My sister even brings her little boy every time she comes to visit from Louisiana! read more

I used to love this place. In fact we go out of our way to come here because my son enjoys the experience. Tonight I pulled up at 626pm to a sign that clearly states they are open until 7. When I got out to unload my child the 3 ladies standing at the desk grabbed their things and quickly turned the lights out. Ridiculous! As a business owner myself, I would hope my staff never puts their desire to go home before my business and clients. Unfortunately we have been before with the lights out before 7 but having them turn them off on me was a first. Either change your advertised hours or honor them. We will NOT be back! read more

My 2.5 year old had her first haircut here with Ruby, and I can not say enough good things about this place. Upon entrance you sign in and sit down. As you look around you realize that this is a mini salon that caters to mini kiddos. Hanging on the walls are bows, nail polish, toys, travel accessories, etc. a train set and toys are in the waiting area for kids to play with. Upon sitting your child in whichever car they pick, the stylist will processed to ask what you have in mind? How do you want me to cut your child's hair, all while whistling, singing, offering cookies and lollipops to your tot. They do have a mini screen and they have Frozen playing, so that made my LO happy Ruby did a wonderful job with my squirmy toddler whose hair is really long and thick for her age. Will definitely be returning. I'm taking a star off because they did not dry her hair after cutting and left it soaking wet, just blotted it with a towel, and another reason why I took a star off is because I just learned that they offer a punch card so that they may talley your visits and offer a free cut after so many visits and that was not mentioned or offered to me. read more
