After checking out, they'll ask if "you'd like to add a gratuity" which I always feel is just a darker practice in the social moment. A good massage deserves a tip for quality service, but hydrotherapy feels like an interesting gray area. However, it's easier to just give a percentage on the total amount. On the flip side, I love how they also provide up to 30 minutes buffer after hydrotherapy (maybe also other services, but we ended on hydro) to shower and leave. I went with Allegra who was a darling from the minute I stepped into Dermaspace. Any worries or fears quickly drifted off given the dim lighting, chill music and zen ambiance. Allegra had a sweet personality, explained the entire process from start to finish, was knowledgeable about anything related to skincare and health, and most importantly, gentle. The facial was around an hour and fifteen minutes, including a discussion of my skin concerns, allergies, goals, etc. It consisted of roughly four total steps: 1) Gentle facial cleansing and exfoliation 2) Moisturization and detoxification using yucca soaked cloth within a volcanic heated cone 3) Deep cleaning of my entire face, clearing out any and all clogged pores 4) Ionization facial wrap of nourishing cotton with a leather mask connected to low voltage electrical current in order to ionize the solution. Afterwards, my face felt completely refreshed and as if years were taken off.
