They do a decent job for the multiple times I went there for both threading and waxing and I was recommended to them by a work client who swears by them. However, I felt ripped off when I came for a chin wax and they were trying to say that the area pictured here counted as a neck wax. Now I'm not one for arguing so I agreed to pay the extra cost after asking while receiving the service what the heck the extra charge was for at the time, but what was even more ridiculous was that they only had charged me for the chin on previous visits for the same area. They shouldn't offer waxing if they aren't super excited about offering the wax and it wasn't worth $40. I liked the decorations when I went but staff demeanor was always so-so. Not truly welcoming. But again if you're purely interested only in the result and not the experience (or possibly getting ripped off) then this could be an ok place to frequent. I prersonally won't go again. read more

I tried this place once and they sold me the wrong color eyebrow and the lady insisted that it was the right color ! When I came home I realized the color was totally different than what they had showed me in their store. I had surgery and I couldn't exchange the item for a month. When I tried to exchange it, I was treated like a criminal! I was faced with resentment from the owner, unprofessionalism, accusations that I have used the item, and constant repeating that we don't return or exchange, and .... People who come to this country to open a business should know that customer service is everything here! Their color palette is different from what they sold me and she kept repeating no exchange no return! I don't know how they are in business. I will never go there again. so inconsistent If you go there and ask for just to clean up, you can come out with no eyebrows left. This has happened to me twice and finally I got someone who I really liked and then I went back for a touchup before our trip and they completely took half my eyebrows and are so uneven. It's as if they don't realize it takes so long to back eyebrows after their mistakes. I went to Kiki Brows for a face threading. The lady asked if I wanted threading or waxing. I've always done threading with no issues, but I thought I'd try waxing this time. Before agreeing, I specifically asked if there were any side effects. She told me, "No, waxing doesn't have side effects." Based on that assurance, I went ahead. She applied wax on one side of my face, pulled off the strip, and then suddenly asked, "Do you use retinol?" When I said yes, she responded, "Maybe your skin got lifted. If you use retinol you shouldn't wax." That is one of the most important side effects she completely failed to mention beforehand. I immediately stopped her from waxing the rest of my face, but the damage was already done. Within hours I had four large burned and lifted skin patches. Initially she brushed it off as a "small area" and said nothing would happen, but it's easy for her to say when it's not her skin that got damaged. Now I need to see a dermatologist and spend far more than the original threading cost, around $4,000 for treatment, 100 times the $40 threading I originally paid, to fix this injury. While I enjoyed talking to Kiki herself and appreciated her service, the staff is incompetent and not properly trained. They downplay serious risks, give inaccurate information, and leave customers to deal with the consequences. I will never go back to this place. If you care about your skin, don't trust them with it. I have always overlooked small mistakes, like getting cuts during brow threading, because mistakes happen. I've even ignored times when my brows weren't shaped properly or got chopped off, because mistakes happen. But when you burn someone's face, cause downtime, and leave them dealing with such serious consequences, that is not a mistake. It's a blunder, and it's unacceptable. I truly hope Kiki will train her staff properly so no other client has to go through this again. Hope there was a negative star rating available, that's what it deserves for damaging someone's face. read more

I was referred to Kiki Brows when I moved to the East Bay nearly 10 years ago and I've been going monthly for threading ever since. Over the years I've gone back and forth between waxing and threading, but no one does a better job than Kiki and her crew. It's the only place I trust with my brows and I've never had any concerns. Kiki is fantastic at and highly recommended for eyebrow threading. I went to her for years and was always pleased with her work. Two years ago, I decided to trust her with microblading my brows - disaster (photo attached). She did not map out my brows. She used a template to place them. I asked that they not be too dark or too thick. I ended up with both. The shape was atrocious . The hair strokes were poorly done. I have since had her work removed (multiple laser treatments at the cost of $250 each) and recently redone by an awesome artist. Finally, my two year eyebrow nightmare is over! read more

Before my last visit, I would have given Kiki Brows 4 stars. Your experience is dependent on who takes care of you. Kiki herself is very talented and I've had many good experiences with her. However, I got a horrible injury from the salon two days ago from someone else and have been in pain and discomfort ever since. I've had my upper lip waxed countless times, but something went very wrong this time and I've been left with several layers of skin having been removed. It's incredibly painful. I went to the salon to show Kiki and while sympathetic, she advised me to apply aloe. She didn't ask for my number to follow up with me in a few days to see how it heals. Not even an offer to refund me. My doctor sent me to the minor injury clinic so it clearly wasn't something to be dismissed. More than anything, I'm disappointed in how it was handled. Mistakes happen, but they didn't take ownership. If you take true pride in your business, you will go above and beyond for every customer that walks through the door, not just the ones you know by name. read more

I've been 4 times now and I leave the place every time with perfectly shaped and trimmed brows. I've never dealt with rashes or any signs of irritation afterwards unlike most places. Been coming here for over a year and usually bring a friend or family member with me who gets a threading service too. I usually check in and if there is someone in the chair I let them know I will step outside. They acknowledge this and I come back in time for my turn. Never had an issue. At my last visit I checked in and I was told it would be a 10-15 minute wait. No problem. I let her know I will step out for 5 minutes and she acknowledges this. While I was gone 2 other parties came in. I assumed I was still next because no one ever mentioned the policy that if you step outside then you lose your place. Well she made it known by scolding me in front of everyone. The service was rushed and awkward afterwards. So thank you for this very unpleasant experience. I won't be coming back or sending friends and family here. I'm sure other businesses can handle a busy afternoon without having to scold their customers. read more

Recently, when I visited the area, I went back to Kiki Brows. I received the same outstanding quality of service, it was quick for a walk-in, and I had a great experience as I always remembered. My eyebrows looked terrific, and that's what matters! I have noticed the staff here pulls threads quicker compared to other places, which creates way less pain. If I could give them 6 stars I would. I am VERY particular with my eyebrows and as such I get them done by Kiki and one other person who has been fully trained by Kiki (I wish I remembered her name). They take their time, make sure the shape compliments your face, take pride in doing a good job, and are overall so friendly throughout the painful process of hairs being threaded. I was one of Kiki's first customers at this location however many years ago and I continue to go to her even though I moved to Tracy last year. Kiki is nothing less than an artist. I can always count on her to perfect my brows, making me look 100% again. She just remodeled her shop to accommodate more people since the words been out that she's the best. Kiki only keeps brow artists that provide superior service, hence why the shop is usually bustling w clientele. All the girls are up to date with the latest beauty trends. I just started getting my eyelashes done, but I've been getting fills down in LA since I live half the month in Studio City. The last fill I needed they were booked, so I went to a place in Pleasanton and wasn't impressed. This time, however, I made an appointment. I am so happy w my lashes, and the fill only took an hour vs. the 2+ hours down in LA. So happy to have Kiki Brows, even if it is a 45 minute drive for me now. It's my birthday this week and I don't like my eyebrows! I thought I could try somewhere new but I should've stayed with my old eyebrow lady.
