The place has good food. But if you order at the restaurant they tell you 40 minutes for one chicken ribs and rice. Also when you try calling ahead they don't answer. All you get is a busy signal. And if you happen to catch a ring there is no answer. I have calls over 65 times and all I get is a busy signal. The food is good but they definitely have to get a better phone system.

Papa huancaina (don't remember the proper name) and quarter chicken with garden rice

It's always the hood spots that have the best food. It's not the typical peruvian spot that I'm used to like Pio Pio or Don Pollo. No green sauce here but theres 2 other kinds that are good. We ordered Papa la huancaina and half chicken with garden rice and inca cola to share. It came up to $16 and change. Order took about 10 mins to be ready and they brought it to our table. This place is simple, no decor, just some tables and chairs in the back. regular disposable plate on a tray full of delicious food. The chicken is juicy and done just right and the garden rice has great flavor. I dont even like corn and peas but it was great and I ate every last grain. It was my first time having papa la huancaina (finally) and it was awesome, whatever that yellow sauce was, its good. I do wish that there was another egg in it though. Definitely going back here or to one of their other locations, next up...chicken, ribs and pork fried rice!

Chicken and ribs combo with garden rice and Inca cola. Amazing!

Quick. Cheap. Tasty. 1) Amazing Peruvian food. 2) The chicken and ribs combo with garden rice was excellent. 3) The price is very reasonable, my combo was under 10 bucks. 4) Try the Inca Cola.

Garden rice barely had vegetables ($2.49 for 1 scoop)

One of the better Latinos to make ribs the rice is pretty good. The staff professional could work on people skills but overall OK.

Best chicken in town. And best peruvian food I had ever taste. Is so damn good that this place gets packed often. But is the best no doubt.

The chicken is delicious, and the chaufa rice is really good, but most of all the sauce is too die for. Awesome

Chicken is moist and good. Parking is a pain. The prices are very cheap. I recommend the chicken and rib combo with rice.

Brine - Hot New York chicken sandwich

I've heard great things about this place from a friend, and it did not disappoint! I decided to go…read morefor the 53rd STREET BOWL, which features signature pulled chicken, brown rice, a mix of kale and romaine, pickled red onions, cucumbers, chives, and a drizzle of white sauce. It was delicious! The pulled chicken was flavorful, and the pickled onions and cucumbers added a perfect crunch and zest that complemented the brown rice and kale beautifully. I chose to order directly from the staff instead of using the kiosks since it was my first visit, and I'm glad I did! They were incredibly friendly and helpful, even wiping down the outdoor tables for me. The prices are pretty standard for a fast-casual spot.

My husband and I stopped into Brine because we'd never seen one before. This is apparently one of…read moretwo locations, with the other being in New York City. Their tag line of "Eat Juicy Chicken" compelled us in. Unfortunately, our first time was a bit of a flop. First, the positives. Placing your order is a cinch, either with one of many kiosks or with the folks at the counter. We opted for the latter since it was our first visit and we were paying with cash. Service at the counter was warm and friendly. While waiting for our meal, we also took notice of the wide array of pumps by the drink dispenser. They're all free sauces you can get to dress up your meal. But that was precisely where things kind of went meh. My husband's boneless breast meal was heavily sauced and rendered the whole thing a little too salty. My chicken Caesar salad was just fine, but I craved more texture (some croutons would've killed). I keep comparing our ho-hum experience to others who've raved about their meals here, and I think our mistake was two-fold: 1) We didn't order a chicken sandwich. I should've known better - when most of the signature items on a menu gravitate toward one type of item, it's a restaurant's way of hinting at their strengths. Opting to order a salad and a grilled chicken at a fried chicken place was a bad start. Learn from my mistakes. 2) We paired a saucy chicken with saucy sides. All three items in my husband's order - the meat, the Brussel sprouts, and the potatoes - were generously drizzled with a sauce. It's no wonder our taste buds breathed a sigh of relief whenever we had a bite of undressed crinkle cut fries; we were assaulting our mouths with salt and flavor. If you're a saucy person, have at it ; otherwise, I'd recommend creating a more balanced plate and ordering a few things without sauce so you can appreciate the cooking. Because in my heart of hearts, I believe items are well-prepared here; they're just doused in too much covering to be appreciated.

Beef was tangy spicy (but not too spicy) and crispy and it came out hot and fast. Appreciate the fact that the beef was not chewy or tough They also add these crispy onions on top of their bowls which is a nice touch. My boyfriend got the Cajun pork cutlet bowl over lo mein. You get to choose your base for the bowls which is nice. The lo mein noodles are thicker than the typical lo mein noodles you see at Chinese takeout, these look more like pho. Either way, I tried a bite and they were great and the flavors were there. My boyfriend also loves their soup and the homemade chips are awesome. In terms of ambiance this is more of a daytime spot. Not too many seats. It's very bright inside maybe because there's a lot of plants in there on the wall. It's still nice, just not that dim nighttime ambiance and there aren't a ton of seats . You place your order at the register or they also have a convenient self order kiosk. We will be definitely be back to try everything else on the menu.
