    Pan con chicharron

Decided to try this place, which from what I understand hasn't been open very long. It's located in a strip mall with parking, which is always a plus. We were seated right away. Like many places I've gone to lately, they use iPads for menus. I actually like this because it gives you a visual of what you're ordering. I did notice that although cocktails were listed, the page mentioned they are "coming soon." I decided to get the Ceviche Clásico, and my partner ordered the Lomo Saltado. For an appetizer, we got the Trio de Panes con Chicharrón (French rolls with crispy pork belly). To drink, we ordered chicha (the purple corn drink). The ceviche was fresh and nicely plated. I eat ceviche often, and while it was good, it wasn't something I would order again. My partner felt similarly about the lomo saltado, adding that the dish had very little meat. It felt more like a lunch portion, even though we were there for dinner. We were most let down by the pan con chicharrón, which lacked flavor and could have benefited from a sauce. Our server was friendly but seemed to be the only one working the floor for most of our visit, until another staff member eventually arrived. Because of that, she wasn't able to be as attentive as she might have been with more help. A small detail I really appreciated was their dishware--beautiful shapes and colors. The restaurant itself is also beautifully decorated with bright colors and Peruvian symbols and artwork. Since they're still a new restaurant, they may just be finding their footing. They have a good foundation, and hopefully these details will continue to improve.

Amazing atmosphere great servers, mouthwatering presentation. Delicious food. Decent prices clean restaurant clean restrooms. No complaints. Try the green sauce! And Try the Sarsa Criolla.

the rubber chicken that I tried to dissemble with my fingers and could not believe that they would serve this!

We were excited to try this *new Peruvian spot*... especially since we're Peruvian . Big mistake. Started with wine --asked about their selection and our waitress looked completely lost. Asked for a taste... she brought it in a **shooter** . Ordered a bottle--came out **warm** (yes, warm white wine... amazing!!). Ordered anticuchos to start... and WOW cold, undercooked, and just completely wrong. One bite and we were done. Plate basically untouched--and not a single "how is everything?" Then came the mains: * Ceviche--surprisingly okay (we were scared to eat it at that point ) * **Chaufa mixto (chicken & beef, one plate)**--greenish, stale rice and the chicken... I can't. It literally looked and felt like a **rubber band** stretchy, shiny, and impossible to pull apart without it snapping back. Not food. Absolutely not. We stopped eating again. Still no check-in. Finally ask for the bill and *then* she asks how everything was . We explain... she just stares. No apology, nothing. Anticuchos still on the bill--had to ask to remove them. Oh--and gratuity already included . When we asked for our change, she looked... disappointed . Cherry on top : another staff member comes over, grabs our wine bottle to check if it's empty like "you done yet?" Yeah... we got the hint. Safe to say--we won't be back!! If you're going to claim "authentic" or "the best," at least try

Great food, amazing service. Highly recommend! If you have a large party, definitely get the reservation. Eddy was our server, he made great recommendations.

I came with my family and we had a pretty good experience. It's Valentine's Day week and they have a lot of nice decoration. There's a lot of parking which is great. I had the rice with shrimp, chicken and beef special, and it comes with a fried wonton on top, 8/10. My friends daughter had the Lo Salado with the chicken special, she licked the plate. My friend's wife had the green spaghetti, no meat special and she says it was delicious.. my friend had the Chicharron sliders. He gives it a four out of five. The service was great will return and try some other food.

    Supposedly arroz chaufa

I ordered arroz chaufa from this restaurant for the first time. When I got home, opened the bag, and tried it, I realized it was not chaufa at all. The rice only tasted like soy sauce, it didn't have egg, and the chicken was in large grilled pieces. There was no scallion either. I know good food, and for that reason I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. Peruvian cuisine is delicious, and restaurants like this only disappoint and misrepresent our gastronomy.

The food is always amazing, the portions are very generous, and the service has consistently been great every time I visit. The combination of Chinese and Peruvian flavors is comforting, flavorful, and absolutely hits the spot. Come hungry you will not leave disappointed! The location itself is small and cozy, which honestly adds to its charm. My only issue is parking, which can be a little challenging, but aside from that, I have nothing but great things to say. One of my favorite food spots and a true hidden gem. If you haven't experienced Chifa cuisine before, this is a great place to start! Jeffrey Umaña @jeffrey.umana

From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and welcoming. The food was absolutely amazing, just as we've come to expect, but enjoying it fresh in the restaurant made it even better. Sometimes life gets so busy that you forget to slow down. Sitting down together, sharing an incredible Peruvian meal, and simply enjoying each other's company was exactly what we needed. It turned an ordinary meal into a wonderful date. If you're looking for authentic, flavorful Peruvian food with excellent service, I highly recommend this place. We'll definitely be back, whether it's for takeout or another relaxing meal in the restaurant.

This vibrant culinary tapestry weaves together indigenous ingredients, European techniques, African traditions, and Asian influences to create some of the world's most exciting and diverse food experiences. For over the past two decades, these chefs have elevated traditional ingredients and techniques to new heights. We've passed this restaurant many times on a busy River Road in Fair Lawn and decided to stop in. Upon entering this warm and cozy interior without a reservation as first-timers, my partner and I managed to locate a table outside on this summer-like day. Juany's Cafe is a cozy, family-run establishment making a great impression as a place for brunch on locals and visitors. The owner is Peruvian, and the Mexican cook began in the kitchens of his homeland, known for its authentic Latin-inspired cuisine. We decided on the Latin bowl with marinated steak accompanied by black beans, sautéed veggies, avocado, and sweet plantains & Grilled Chicken Burritos with Sweet Potato Fries. Complimentary fruit salad started our meal. All ingredients were fresh, and the seasonings were unique with their bold flavors. There was a wait time for food as everything was homemade, made to order, and well presented. The prices were more than reasonable considering the quality of the food. Our server was friendly and accommodating. The service was a bit slow due to a large party group. Brunch is the norm here, but we can't wait to try it out for dinner.
