The best and only reason I go to eat at any bar and grill, fresh food served hot and this place is on fire.

Appetizers to wings it's usually the place for me. Today absolutely crushed that excitement for future visits. We were between youth basketball games and called to order ahead to be efficient and effective for our day but also to experience the great food and service weve come to enjoy. 12 wings and 2 chicken sandwiches. Said we were 15 minutes out. We arrived about 15 minutes after we called just like we discussed. Informed the staff who we were and that we were there. She said no problem and that shed have our order out the moment it was done. We waited for 10-15 minutes and the food arrived. Somehow room temp and fries colder than that. Both sandwiches and the fries and the tots. Cold. My sons wings were at room temp if i round up. We told the waitress she said shed talk to the manager and left and just never ever came back. Another staff member came by and asked how it was. We told her cold and not good. She said shed talk to the manager I said no need im sorry to bring it up but im hangry and we were in a hurry. But it was too late being ghosted by a waitress. She said I just got here but ill talk to them. Then she also just melted into the fabric of the restaurant. We did get to watch her talk to her coworkers and then stare at us in unison. But we were in a hurry So I ate my buffalo ice cold deli meat sandwich but I just couldnt choke down the fries my family ate their meals vulture style picking what they could stomach. This wouldnt be an issue at all if our original waitress had spoken to the manager or even just came back and said sorry? Or hey lets microwave it literally anything. We didnt ask for a discount we didnt yell at anyone.. But she hid from our table chucking deuces and no one spoke to us after that. We ended up paying $63 for a bottom 5 dinner. Just to get to the game on time. Im actually quite sad about this review.

Was chatted up by an inebriated local at the bar, who told me his life story, gave me advice and bought me a beer. The latter was a first for me. If you want to drink the largest beer on Earth, request 'Das Boot' which literally translates as "The Boat". This is a must share with your friends, as you will be on the floor if you drink it by yourself. Traditional German Fare (Yum- Schnitzel!) is served along side an eclectic menu of Burgers, Fries (Pommes Frites) or Chicken. They also have "bar food" for the faint of heart, so if you want your cheeezy mozarella sticks with a chewy Hefeweizen this is the place. Darts/ Foosball/ Pool Table and booths along the wall if you feel like intimacy. If you are with a group, share the Tap Table and pour your own drinks at your table (Careful!!! There is a meter that measures how much you take.) There is a jukebox and if you are feeling cheap / they play canned Oom Pah music over the speakers. Great mix from young to older so no one feels left out. Just like Germany, in a word: Fantastisch!!!!

We loved the setting and the location. They also have Foxy Sushi inside, (potentially) a nice change from pizza but we didn't try it. We ordered 2 brews & paid cash. Both were good. There was one occupied table & we were at the bar top. The barkeep told us about the tours which seem well worth coming in for & about the owners & brewers. Service was great. There is a big room that can be rented, it's a beautiful space, somehow spacious while still feeling cozy. The only thing I don't like about this place is that there really isn't any food to eat except pretzels and chips. Though you can order pizza from Zio's and they will bring it over. They said they are going to be adding a sushi menu, which seems kind of odd. But I don't like going out to drink unless I can get something to eat with it as well - and most of the local breweries fall short here. So I definitely will check out the sushi once it is available.

For dessert, I ordered the whipped tiramisu, which was divine. Overall, the food was excellent, not simply mass-produced chicken, but properly cooked and seasoned, and the pasta was excellent. My son was as complimentary of his meal. The service was excellent and it was a wonderful place to unwind after a long day. An excellent choice for food, spirits, dessert, and atmosphere.

We were doing a pub crawl and had a drink at each of the Capitol District bars. I think Annie's would rank probably in the middle somewhere of the places we tried. The ambiance is like a "hole in the wall" style pub with concrete floors and booths like you'd find in Dublin. There's an area at the back with leather chairs, dart boards, and a few board games. I'm not sure if it gets pretty busy at times, but we were the only group of people there when we went, and it seemed rather large and empty. The bartender was a little snippety, but I wasn't sure if this was part of the "schtick" or not, because she wasn't mean or rude, just a little short and hurrying us up to order (humming the Jeopardy theme song when someone was looking at the menu to decide). I took it as funny, so not mad about it or anything. I liked the vibe of the place feeling like you're in Ireland almost, but the cost is a bit expensive for the tiny beer sizes you get. Also you would think for trying to be an Irish pub type theme, they'd serve drinks in real pint glasses, but I got a tiny 12oz or so plastic cup of beer for $5. There are some good things about Annie's, but I think I prefer a few other places in The Capitol District, like Let it Fly or Roxxy.
