Fun little watering hole in the captiol district. If you're heading there before a concert, plan accordingly! It can be busier than say a normal weekeday night. They serve a large variety of drinks and beers on tap. It has a large spacious interior and great outdoor patio. It's a nice stop on your way to CHI. read more

Annie's is an Irish bar in the Capitol District, and it's a nice option for a few drinks that's a little bit more laid back than a few others in that area. We were doing a pub crawl and had a drink at each of the Capitol District bars. I think Annie's would rank probably in the middle somewhere of the places we tried. The ambiance is like a "hole in the wall" style pub with concrete floors and booths like you'd find in Dublin. There's an area at the back with leather chairs, dart boards, and a few board games. I'm not sure if it gets pretty busy at times, but we were the only group of people there when we went, and it seemed rather large and empty. The bartender was a little snippety, but I wasn't sure if this was part of the "schtick" or not, because she wasn't mean or rude, just a little short and hurrying us up to order (humming the Jeopardy theme song when someone was looking at the menu to decide). I took it as funny, so not mad about it or anything. I liked the vibe of the place feeling like you're in Ireland almost, but the cost is a bit expensive for the tiny beer sizes you get. Also you would think for trying to be an Irish pub type theme, they'd serve drinks in real pint glasses, but I got a tiny 12oz or so plastic cup of beer for $5. There are some good things about Annie's, but I think I prefer a few other places in The Capitol District, like Let it Fly or Roxxy. read more

We stopped by for a quick drink before our dinner event. The bartender was nice and grabbed our drinks immediately. There were only a few people already inside so it was very quiet. The bar and restrooms were clean, and their bar seats are super comfy. I would like to stop by again to see if they have food. Plus, it might be a great place for St. Patrick's Day events. read more

Oh where to begin with this bar. I went here yesterday with my husband. We opened a tab got two shots we forgot to close our tab and went home. We got home and saw a 150 dollar charge on our card. We called they said well this guy said he was your husband and bought two bartenders 12 shots and 4 drinks. I told them I was with my husband the whole time he never ordered all that. They changed the story and said "oh well maybe we just got things mixed up and threw it all on your tab." Then said well he knew your name. We just moved here from Arizona so we don't know anyone. I asked so you didn't think to atleast ask the last name. They said no we don't do that. Moral of the story stay away from this bar cause they don't care about checking things and seems like the bartenders are running a scam on people. read more

Came here on Halloween! The place was packed! Really fun atmosphere and everyone was tearing up the dance floor. My friends and I were able to snag a booth which was nice but basically had to yell at each other to hear one another... typical bar scene. read more

Fun bar in the Capitol District especially for the younger crowd. It doesn't seem to get too busy until at least 8 or 9, but once the night gets started, it does get pretty packed. I like the busy dancefloor and loud music for a night out but if you're looking for a low-key spot, this probably isn't the bar for you. The location is convenient & close to other bars and restaurants. They have a great patio for the warmer days and nights. My bartenders have always been friendly and quick. Drinks are a tad pricey but I did notice they have a good looking happy hour menu that runs until 9 pm on weekdays, so I'd like to go back and try that out. read more

Not sure what the poor ratings are for as I loved this place. I wish this place was in KC. Very neat decor, Jameson bottles lining the wall/ceiling lit up., what's not to like. If you can't cozy up here to a glass of whiskey or a stout, stay home. Service was great and prices were even better. As you leave they even have a bin of bottled water. A pretty cozy Irish Pub in the new Capitol District that will cater to the party-going crowds that will fill the area this spring and beyond. Decent tap beer selection, including one of my favorite locals, NBC's Cardinal Pale Ale. Expect a few locals alongside domestic favorite and the obligatory Irish beers as well. Into Barcadi? Looked like they have every flavor. What about Jameson? Of course they have lots and lots and lots of Jameson at this party pub. Inside, it's spacious and dark. There's a spot in the corner with comfy chairs and a table you can play board games out. Looks like it'd be a prime spot for a band to set up, too. No food, but there was free popcorn and the bartender said you can bring in whatever outside eats you'd like. I was there on a slow afternoon to kill a little time and get some work done. My kind of vibe. Now, would I enjoy it when it was packed for of drunken college kids hootin' and hollerin' during some big event? No way. But that's fine. Annie's Irish Pub is there for chill guys like me in the afternoon/evening and is also there to let the Barcadi and Jame-o flow freely for the lively night crowd (after I'm long gone). read more

Mixed feelings about this place. The bar has a good look and can hold a lot of people. The patio is heated so it gets used almost year round. We've had a few times where the staff were oblivious to people trying to order drinks. More than once we've seen people sit down, wait for a long time, and then leave only to have a server walk out minutes later. We live across the street and had high hopes for an Irish Pub so close to our house. Unfortunately the service is enough of an issue we only go there if its dead enough we can serve ourselves and sit on the patio. read more

the bartender on 5/4/24 was impatient. we ordered vodka cranberry's and vodka sprite and it didn't taste like alcohol at all. you can't tell me you wouldn't taste alcohol in either of these drinks... if you do you're crazy. stop spending money here. read more

The birthday girl brought her ID that expired today as well as paperwork, the bartender looked at it for 5 minutes then proceeded to claim that one of our IDs was fake and told us "good luck finding a bar that will serve you." I am disgusted by the way the staff at this bar treated our group. There were a group of about 30 of us who had just finished a tough semester in professional school and were celebrating. The person checking id's automatically assumed that two of our classmates were using fake id's. I don't think it is a coincidence that the two who were treated this way were african and hispanic. He attempted to confiscate them and bent them. I thought all businesses were supplied with a book to verify what id's are supposed to look like to crack down on fakes. If he would have done that then he would have realized they were in fact real and they are both in their 30s. The manager was of no help either and offered no resolution or clarification. They need to figure out how to accurately check id's. They just lost business from 30+ people. Save your money unless you want to be treated like a criminal. read more

The Capitol district has been by far my favorite downtown Omaha night scene!! From starting at Annie's set up as an Irish pub, but also has an amazing dance floor and great DJ. The crowd is definitely wild and Friday and Saturday nights are very wild. I highly recommend giving there bottle service a try! read more

Never write a review before, normally if one place is not good i just simply "not come back". However today I have to write something abt this Pub. I gave this place 1 star because Yelp doesn't have 0 stars option. This place is racist to minority. Yesterday me and bunch of professional students went here from party bus. Some of us can get in, 2 of my friends: one of them is African, the other is Hispanic girl. They didn't let them in with excuse "fake ID". Seriously, they are 30s. He even tried not to give IDs back to my friend. We were trying to talk to the manager, Its not right to treat someone in an different way because of their race n their different skin color. My friend got turned down, she was upset and crying because she got treated this way. I know life is unfair but this is disgusting. Since when the bouncer become this powerful? We all decided to leave. We love Omaha, love to support local businesses but not these RACISTS AND IGNORANT! read more

A group of my friends visited Annie's about a month ago. As happens commonly in many bars, one of the friends in their party got bumped by another person, resulting in his drink spilling on the person behind him. Instead of reacting normally, this 26 year old man got angry with the male friend whose drink spilled and his female friend. This man proceeded to push the two people, and the girl was pushed to the ground and her jaw was punched. After more friends on both sides got involved in the altercation, things got heated, and a bouncer finally came to separate the altercation. However, the males who started the violence were not kicked out and the females were asked to move to another section of the bar. Overall, this is a horrific experience and the female friends were owed an apology, though one was never given to them. I am appalled at the treatment of their customers and I will never set foot in this bar because of this altercation. The management needs to be better trained in dealing with these situations with kindness and respect. read more

First time experience: I look young so I'm not surprised I got ID'd a second time, but it was very aggressive by to have my ID looked at a second time by a guy in a suit without any badge; I wasn't even aware he worked there. When I asked he bartender about whether I could find him so I could talk to him about how it was slightly aggressive in the way he approached me, a different bartender then told me I was 'giving the other bartender trouble.' I'm pretty easy going. I get that I look young, but the customer service was poor at best, and entirely aggressive. My Minnesota ID is one of the most difficult to fake, so even though I went through second ID process, I was questioned aggressively to the point where it was insulting. When I attempted to simply talk to the bartender about how I could help the company not aggressively pursue legal drinkers, I was told that I was a problem. They're entirely unreceptive to constructive criticism, and being that it is a new bar, that's a problem for their future success. I get it, I look young. But the suited guy's "100 fake ID's" he talked about from the weekend before does not deserve a callousness from a new bar. It's not tough to ask for my ID without me becoming frustrated. Back to the bartender that wouldn't help me find the guy who aggressively questioned me, I left because I was told I was the problem. This was my first experience there. I'm a positive person but I have nothing but negative words to say about this experience. Thinking about going there for CWS? Save your cover and the troubles, it's not worth it. read more

Stopped here for the first time during the College World Series and grabbed a table outside assuming we'd have service outside. It wasn't busy at all and there were in fact waitresses, but apparently all the other tables had service except for ours - we were just flat ignored. And when I went inside to get our drinks from the bar, the waitresses were just standing there at the end of the bar talking. So very frustrating because again the place wasn't busy at all. It is very open with some Irish things on the wall but that is the extent of it other than selling a few Irish beers. They don't even have Magners Cider. I give 0 stars because I went in for an interview. Was told I was going to be put on schedule FOR SURE for College World Series. Received a text saying they were unable to add me to the schedule. Awful management, poor communication skills and extremely bad about getting back to me in a timely fashion. Organizational skills for whole staff, including management is also extremely poor. Been there once since I was denied employment to see what it was like as a customer... nothing but horrible things to say. Drinks were sloppily made, service was ungodly slow and waitresses were short with customers and messed up my groups drinks several times that evening. Do not recommend this pub whatsoever! Stay in the Old Market Area if you'd rather experience excellent quality service as opposed to sloppy, disfunctional, and arrogant treatment by management and staff. read more
