It was a great experience, i loved our server and our chef they were so funny and made sure we were all having a good time. The portions are huge and delicious. I got the salmon and white rice and I loved it! A lot of my group got the filet mignon and the teriyaki steak. They also enjoyed it a lot. Everyone loved the shrimp. Food was a 4/5 but the atmosphere and entertainment was great and unbeatable which makes it a 5/5!

I should have listened to the reviews. First time and last time at this place. We had a reservation and were sat at our reserved time, so I was impressed based on other reviews. Until we sat there watching everyone to eat and an hour later our chef came out. Soup tasted like water and everyone pushed it away. Salad was meh. Everyone in our party complained about how overcooked and dry our food was. Our chef was also boring as hell and kept saying the same words over and over as if he was funny. Couldn't wait for it to end to be honest. It's beautiful inside but they need to step it up with food quality and taste. I've also never been to a hibachi that only does broccoli and zucchini for your veggies. Like what the hell?

Surprised to see all of the low reviews. We have been going every December for a few years now. The food is always consistently good. The chef interaction is on par and the service is efficient and friendly. We went last night and all requests and allergy issues were accommodated. The food was exceptionally tasty. The only one gripe was the soft shell crab roll was flavorless. However, the Alaska and Godzilla were amazing. Everyone also enjoyed their hibachi meals. 6 adults, 4 kids, lots of drinks and dessert and the whole bill after tax and tip was $684

Service was good. We loved our hibachi cook, he was so fun. Food was delicious. I got the filet and scallops. Good drink menu but could have some more app options.

My hibachi experience at Kiku was pretty good. Our chef was really nice and fun, and our servers were attentive. I'd say our food was a bit on the saltier side the whole night. However, the portion size was huge! I had a lot of leftovers to take home for another meal. The restaurant itself looks nice. Space is a little tight at each grill, and sometimes the noise of other grills can be overpowering. Overall though, great time!

I came here to celebrate a friends birthday. I made a reservation a day in advance and was able to get a table at the time I wanted. Once we arrived we were seated immediately. Quality:The food is made fresh in front of you which is always a nice experience. The shrimp and the noodles were my favorite Price: The pricing is average $25-30 depending on which is your main entree (shrimp, salmon, chicken). I think the price is fair considering you get soup, rice, noodles, and vegetables. Overall it's nice to come here from time to time. However, I wouldn't recommend coming here for a birthday as they don't do anything special like other restaurants would.

Blu Sushi is the perfect mix of deliciousness, affordability, and fantastic service. I've gone there for my lunch around three times these past two weeks and each time I've had a wonderful experience. Their lunch special is super affordable. You can get 2 rolls for the less than I spend for one at many of the other restaurants in Ridgewood. However, despite that, it honestly tastes the best out of many of the places I've gone to. Also, if you are up for spending more, they have a fantastic selection of appetizers and special rolls that you can try again (I recommend the dynamite shrimp). When I go, I normally get the 2 roll option from the lunch menu. Typically, I have the spicy salmon and the spicy tuna rolls when I order that. Regarding those rolls, they are first and foremost delicious. You can tell that fresh their fish is and how much time and dedication they put into their sushi with each bite. Furthermore, they are spicy--but not too spicy. When you have them you are able to enjoy every aspect of the roll without being completely overwhelmed by the spice. Additionally, they add something crunchy to the rolls which take them from just a tasty lunch to a full experience. Most importantly though, the service and ambiance is fantastic. Every time I've been there I've only been treated with kindness and consideration. They are very willing to talk with you about their dishes, share some interesting facts about it (like how they came up with the dynamite shrimp), and more. But the best part about it is that they remember you. That honestly meant a lot to me. I know that this whole review was a lot of me ranting, but I honestly mean it. If you are looking for a nice, quaint, delicious, affordable, and hospitable meal--Blu Sushi is the place for you.

THE FOOD ----------------…read more+ Fried Pork Gyoza - 6 pieces came lightly fried and were good. Definitely could have eaten 10 of these ... myself! + Nabe Yaki Udon Soup Noodle - Solid noodle soup. Lots of ingredients and the broth was just the right level of flavor. = Sushi Regular - Good sushi overall, but the rice was a litttttle too soft to the point that the sushi was falling apart. Fish was very fresh though and presentation was excellent. + Spicy Salmon, Spicy Yellowtail, Spicy Cooked White Fish - Shocked at how good the rolls actually were. There was only 1-2 layers of rice, at most, around the sushi and there was a lot of fish filling for the rolls. Fish was very fresh and delicious. Also, once again, presentation of the entree was excellent. THE SERVICE ------------------- + Friendly waitresses throughout the staff. + Food came out fairly quickly. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------- + Not a huge restaurant, but spacious enough with a few tables for 4 and a few tables for 6. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Came in at around 5:45 PM on a summer Friday evening and it was busy already. We didn't have resys, but some groups did. Assuming they were able to squeeze us in before the dinner resy groups filed in because the restaurant was at capacity by the time we left at 7ish.
