Not a great experience. It's not that I never had a Swedish massage done before. I booked with Alexa as I see a lot of good reviews about her so was excited for it and they gave me Debbie at the time of appointment. Debbie was nice and soft but that wasn't I was expecting in the massage. Very soft. The massage is not that cheap. It's $109 for an hour. Though I keep getting text messages of confirmation of my booking but they never mentioned that my therapist is not available today else I could have rescheduled for tomorrow. I spoke to a person at the front desk who seems not bothered by whatever you say he was just there to making bookings. On top of that I gave a tip in cash for the therapist. Been a customer for about ten years. I came here often However I recently got a facial and my face swole up at night. I left the store a voicemail but they didn't answer. So I went there in person myself. I just wanted a refund nothing more but no the boss didn't even give me that. Charged me without my knowledge 152.00 for facial when it was 139.00. I can however just dispute the transaction but I wanted to be nice about it. Plus now I have to go to urgent care cause my skin swelling won't go down. Kira was nice and sweet and great at what she does. But I don't like how the owner treated me so I won't be back. he said cause I didn't show up for last appointment I can't get refund. When I had an emergency and couldn't go get my massage. I usually always show up 15 min early. btw they charge you full money if you don't show up. She did the Swedish massage on me and I told her to target my upper back/left shoulder and she listened she even went above and beyond and included a nice scalp massage/face massage. I have had three massages here so far. The first two were shortly before I gave birth, and then a few days after. It was really hard to find someone who offered prenatal massage, so I was thrilled when I found that this place does! I wouldn't have even thought to do the lymphatic massage after giving birth, but the therapist I worked with highly recommended it, and I'm so glad she did. The lymphatic massage greatly reduced the swelling and extra fluids in my body. Most recently I had a deep tissue massage with Alexa. After about 10 minutes I could tell that Alexa has a magic touch. I could feel the care in her hands, and to me that is a sign of a great therapist. Her pressure was perfect, and I didn't want it to end. I have had massage and body work for over 20 years and Alexa's massage was one of the best ever! I decided to treat myself to a massage that was long overdue while I was out of town and selected this place because it was close to where I was staying since it had 5 star reviews. My experience was mediocre and here is why: I arrived early expecting to be greeted with an intake form of some sort or tea or at least some water. None of that happened. I've never had a massage in a new place without answering questions about my preferences for pressure or health history. I thought it was odd but it's also been a long time. Maybe things are different... the receptionist looked a tad panicked and disappeared and then my massage started super late because they were backed up or they forgot I was coming or I wasn't on the schedule. I still am not sure but I do know I received a confirmation email and text so the system at least had me in the books. It was a sweltering day and the teeny lobby was right up against a window so I sat uncomfortably in a plastic chair dreaming about a cup of water. I didn't ask because I figured it would eventually be offered. It never was. My massage was good but definitely not relaxing. I paid for the hot stone upgrade but she barely used them. Other experiences incorporate the stones at all times. They stack them on your body on pressure points to really relax the muscles but instead I had to endure the clunk, clack, CRASH of the stones being handled and dropped in and out of the bowl every few minutes while she fussed with them In between briefly using them on me. It was incredibly distracting and I regretted the upgrade desperate for some peace. The actual pressure and massage was GOOD Don't get me wrong - she spent a lot of time just doing a straight forward massage and I really appreciated how she worked on my knots and fatigued muscles but again, I didn't get any significant use or benefits from the hot stones because they were not the star I paid for. When I flipped over into to my back there was no eye mask placed and I felt so awkward just having to keep my eyes closed - it's a small touch that would have helped the relaxation process but instead I just felt uncomfortable wondering how much longer I had left. After I got dressed I showed myself out. I never saw my masseuse again (probably because my time had gone way past the next appointment since they started me so late) and I never did get offered that glass of water. It was a small detail that was severely overlooked. I still paid and tipped well but I truly hope that improvements are made for the future and the small touches are not forgotten. I don't anticipate being back in that side of town anytime soon but if I am I will be going elsewhere and saving myself $50, skipping the hot stones upgrade and definitely bringing my own ice water. read more

Upgraded his massage to have hot stones and Hayley was his masseuse. He works a physical job and said the massage was great! I've been going there for many years almost every week, knowing everyone by the name, They know me my friend and family that I recommend going there, never late always on time, a once or twice I had to cancel but over all I showed up always, yesterday I called to make an appointment as I always do, Carlos the owner answered and took my reservation for the next day at 1:30. The next day I had an emergency at my sons school since he has autism I had to go because he had a meltdown, so I called around 12:10 to let them know that I have to cancel and I will call to reschedule, I get a phone call an hour later saying that because it was last minute (again it was an hour and a half before) they are going to charge me anyway $149 for no show up, luckily it Amex so I called and disputed the charge, I'm so hurt and disappointed, I thought we have a very good client owner relationship I even had shared some stories from my personal life with my massage therapist Kira that was an amazing therapist. All I'm saying here that I already talk to amex and they are going to dispute the charges and it's a shame that they lost a good client and the $149 I disputed. Shame on you losing clients for just $149 when I spend there hundreds of dollars a month. Such a fool. Good luck. My husband and I recently went in for a couples massage and I was really looking forward to it because I've been having horrible back pain and am newly pregnant. All of the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming but I left feeling exactly the same as I had when I walked in, or maybe even more stressed because I was thinking in my head the entire time "what in the heck is going on here?". I was informed that the masseuse I was getting was going to be on the lighter side for me which I thought was great because I don't like getting beat up in a massage, but I 100% didn't expect for it to feel like I was literally just having oil rubbed on me the whole time. There was no technique and every time I asked for more pressure (about 6-7 times) it would only last for 30 seconds and then back to literally nothing at all. I truly felt like one of the kids was giving me a massage at home, just rubbing oil over and over. My husband said his experience was a little bit better but at times was way too firm in the weirdest areas like his scalp (although I never heard him tell his masseuse so his fault), he was a 4/10 and I was a 1/10 on our rating. Overall we still tipped well because they were very nice, but for the price point I really expected a professional and skilled massage and not just oil rubbed around for 90 minutes. I'm sad because we really wanted to find a local masseuse without having to go to a resort but I guess we will keep looking. Given the amazing reviews (which prompted us to book right away) makes me think that maybe we just came in on an "off day", but I don't think I'll be paying $199 + tip again to find out. read more

I hate giving low ratings to places but this experience was just too odd that it's been on my mind and would like visitors of this spa to be aware. I was extremely excited to book a couples massage for my boyfriend and I, as we don't do it very often but would like to make it a consistent activity for overall well being. I was excited to find a place close by to hopefully be able to visit monthly at least. Prices were great and reviews were too!! However, on the day of our appointment, we were asked to come in 20 minutes later than scheduled because they were running behind. No big deal...I was in a great mood because I was going to get a MUCH needed massage. However, we arrived at 5:18 and checked in. 20 minutes later we were still waiting. Our massages didn't start until 5:40 or so. As for the experience. It was quite odd... The therapists had let us know we could remove our masks while we were in the room. When they entered all was well until they started talking a lot. I wanted to relax. My massage therapist in specific had a very strange massage style. Her strokes were incomplete and there was such light pressure that it was ticklish. She hit a knot in my back too hard (the only time pressure was used) and said oh sorry sorry! Not such a big deal....until she hit another spot on my back that tickled so naturally I jerked away, involuntarily. She squealed and laughed. This was so weird to me, I stood quiet the entire time. My boyfriend was also asked by his massage therapist only to put on his mask again once he flipped from his stomach to his back. He then was required to get up , scavenge through the stuff in the basket and lay back down???? This was so weird!!!! Just ask us to leave them on if it's that big of a deal. It's not worth getting interrupted for. Lastly. There was just way too much noise, one of the therapists phones went off (my partner and I's phones were silenced) the music turned off once or twice AND on top of it all, our massage was cut short and ended at 6:30 exactly even though we didn't get into the room and massages didn't start until we'll after 5:45. Nobody asked how our massages were, we paid and left. NOT TO MENTION ANOTHER RED FLAG, the therapists were working back to back to back????! That seems so unethical to me as well as causes a raise for concern about proper sanitation techniques. Anyways, sadly we will not be back. read more

As a complimentary service, I was able to use the infrared sauna prior to my massage. The sauna was quite relaxing prior to the massage. The 90 minute massage was wonderful, and my masseuse listened to my needs, and was efficient with the allotted time. The massage was so relaxing I nearly fell asleep. I did feel more relaxed and loose at the termination of my massage. Prices are reasonable, and the owner and staff are attentive. I really enjoyed this place. I was randomly in the area and decided to get a massage. From the minute I walked in the man at the desk was really nice and friendly to me. The masseuse that took me in was nice, spoke gently and I had such a lovely massage, having her ask me exactly what I wanted and needed before continuing. I have booked different services at Kila's Spa in the past couple of months and I've received the most relaxing massages paired with great attention from the staff. I've tried deep tissue massages, hot stones, facials and most recently a couples massage and I am continuously amazed by the experience. They always make sure I feel comfortable and once the ambiance in the room is set I am in constant awe. My boyfriend has very sensitive skin which we made sure to note to the staff and they easily soothed our concerns by talking us through the quality products that are used and were very mindful of the application which we greatly appreciated. While all services were terrific, I highly recommend the deep tissue above all. The experience started off with an infrared sauna for 30 minutes. It is an individual compartment one sits in while infrared rays heat the area up to about 147 degrees. I'm not a fan of humidity, so my previous sauna experiences have been fairly unpleasant - it does well for my body, so I endure it. The dry heat of the infrared sauna was a lovely surprise, one I definitely want to experience again. Next we went on to a massage. Massages are my favorite because they SAVE. MY. SANITY. My three year old son is no joke to deal with, despite loving him to pieces, so my sanity is an important thing to save. Alice, whose hands must contain some kind of magic muscle relaxation voodoo, went to work on my back and shoulders. If everyone in the world had a massage like this, we wouldn't be fighting any wars. Seriously. As a testament to Alice's awesomeness, I complimented her by falling asleep a couple times and waking myself up with my snoring. Finally, we wrapped things up with a facial. Fari is a registered aesthetician, and the facial used all-natural, vegan products. I'm not a fan of facials, preferring to use my own carefully-researched skincare products, but the experience was soothing and my skin felt quite soft and moisturized after. As someone with chronic back and neck pain who unfortunately is on a budget not allowing for a Burke-Williams-esque luxury treatment, Kila's has been a great relief. They moved just down the street into a location with individual treatment rooms, which is nice since the "rooms" at the older spot were divided up by curtains. Price-wise, it's $40 for a 30 minute massage. For a 60 or 90 minute, they also have membership prices if you plan on going frequently. I've seen several therapists, and they've been very good. They regularly ask about the amount of pressure, which is great if you're sensitive or especially sore and need things adjusted. read more
