Flew and at nearby hotel and discovered this Turkish establishment while having lunch with a friend. The food was excellent especially over a pint and the service was excellent as well. However, I came back twice for dinner during that my stay and that is where my experiences with them were . The place is small seating is limited but both times I got seated by the window n the hostess recommended a now favorite drink with two different lamb dishes. Both were Excellent lamb chop and lamb Iskender. Both were excellent choice as I don't frequently order lamb dishes but the taste and flavor were delicious as well as the gin n tonic drink. Finished off both with desert n the service was excellent n attentive even when they were busy. Ambience was wonderful with people/party loud n laugher while enjoying their meal. I was seated indoors due to chilly weather and enjoyed my time. I will bring back my family n friends especially for dinner and hope the warm hostess and establishment are there.

My family had a fantastic experience here. The food was delicious, and the customer service was terrific! Would strongly recommend!

My boyfriend and I came to London on a Friday night from out of town--actually, from out of the country and wanted a decent dinner although it was getting late. We chose Kilikya because we had never tried Turkish food before and it would be open until midnight, awesome! When we got there, the manager (or what looked like the manager) greeted us and told us we would only be able to choose starters and simple mains for the chef to cook since they were closing in an a little over hour... Okay?? Sucky. But sure. That would never fly in America. We got our food--£6.95 Halloumi Cheese starter and the suggested £16.95 Chicken Shish dish and £23 Lamb Shish dish that the manager suggested since they were the most simple for the cooks to compile with over an hour left before close....(rather disappointing that we couldn't try something more different than the usual Mediterranean/Greek food that we have already tried in USA.) Anyway, food was pretty good. Therefore 3 stars. Not 5 because -- 1) they didn't even honor the 15% discount that's supposed to be given when someone checks in on Yelp. Gave some phony excuse that they don't offer it on weekends and that it was Saturday (when it was actually Friday that we dined there). Cool thanks, there goes your tip! :) -- basically if you go here, don't expect your yelp check-in offer to work. False advertisement. And 2) limited menu with over an hour left before close...and with added pressure to leave 30 min before they close by standing there near your table and watching you eat so they could press the bill on you and watch as you pay. Wtf?? Lol again, wouldn't fly in America. Maybe that's OK in England restaurant customer service, but I'm sure not used to it and am not here long enough to want to get accustomed to it.. Wouldn't come back even if the food was good. I'm all about good food AND decent to good customer service. That didn't hit the bar for the latter.

A delightful touch of Istanbul style sophistication overlooking St Katherine's Dock and enlivening this otherwise corporate backwater with it's style. Delicious food Lahmacun (finely minced lamb with herbs and tomato atop flatbread), stuffed peppers, melt in the mouth stuffed vine leaves, herb rich salads, tantalising pickles a myriad of Turkish street snacks with coffee, tea, juices also on offer. This cafe/take-away is perfect as a lunch stop or a post-work hangout with friends or family. Delightful service, indoor and outdoor seating (under cover too) plus disabled access underscore the Kilikya offer.

4* food, 4* location, service was good and would definitely go back again (especially as it is next to work). However I had a 15% discount which they wouldn't honour and gave some wishy excuse. I wouldn't mind if they apologised, but they didn't.

First, I started with the mango lassi which was so fresh and naturally sweet. I loved the fennel seeds on top for added flavor. Such a great start to the meal. My favorites of the night were the chicken ruby (a must order and crowd pleaser), lamb biryani, and black daal. The chilli chicken was also a super flavorful app to share and the garlic naan was great as well. Everything is nicely flavored and I appreciate how patient and understanding the staff were with the food allergies and restrictions our group had. Definitely a must in London!

The restaurant is much bigger than it looks, with a front patio, a bar, and multiple dining rooms. It was completely packed. After 6 p.m. it's walk-in only, and the hostess gives you a buzzer while you wait. I started with the house chai, which was warm and perfectly spiced. For dinner I ordered the Chicken Ruby, basmati rice, garlic naan, and crispy okra fries. Now I get the hype. The Chicken Ruby was rich, spicy, and packed with flavor, the naan was perfect for soaking up every bit of sauce, and the okra fries were so crunchy I couldn't stop eating them. This place absolutely lived up to its reputation. They also serve breakfast, and there's so much on the menu that I already plan to come back a few more times before I leave London.

The waiters were nice but the food was not the best. I got a scrambled egg on toast with smoked salmon & the salmon had a fishy smell to it, was flavorless and there was barely any hot sauce available. My friend also thought her burger was just okay as well with the biggest positive point being the bacon. That being said, the fried dough balls dipped in chocolate were really great and so were the holiday specials for alcoholic drinks. While the inside was spacious and retro and had a cool vibe, I have to knock down points for the actual food itself and wish that I had kept the memory of how much I enjoyed this place pre Covid as that since I wouldn't make my way out to this restaurant again even if I'm in the area.

Bacon was too oily. Potatoes tasted over-seasoned. I'm not a fan of mushrooms in general, so I couldn't tell if they were good or not, I just don't like mushrooms. I was most disappointed in the beans. They were heavily seasoned in some kind of curry, when all I wanted was normal English beans. The food wasn't terrible, I was simply expecting better quality.

So I live around the corner and have always popped in, in an attempt to try their legendary burgers. I've always arrived on the last day etc etc and left it. The open hours that come up online and are not accurate and need updating, they were certainly open later than 8 when I visited on a Wednesday. Alas, today. The lovely chef/gentleman working behind the counter in 34 degree heat talked me through the options. I went for the Veg Thai green curry with rice and a beef steak (in some delicious sauce and Parmesan). The Thai green curry had unbelievable depth of flavour - actually rivalling many Thai restaurants in my opinion. The beef steak. So flipping soft. HOW!? Simply blown away. I don't really know what else to say to be honest. So much love and care has gone into this food - you can really tell - I'm serious. If you find yourself walking by and are tempted - please give it a go. Their lasagne looked amazing too... I haven't even mentioned the price - dirt cheap considering the area and far superior.. Go! Go now!! Grazie Cafe Twelve.

I've been looking forward to visiting Duck & Waffle for quite some time. The views are incredible,…read morethe space itself is striking, and on paper it promises that perfect London mix of skyline, late-night energy, and elevated comfort food. Unfortunately, our experience was soured before it even had a chance to begin. My girlfriend and I walked in excited, completely amicable, simply hoping to head upstairs for a bite and drinks. We were greeted by the doorman with an immediate, dismissive "Are you good?" -- not in a welcoming or helpful tone, but in a way that felt skeptical and unnecessarily confrontational. There was no warmth, no "welcome in," no attempt at hospitality. It immediately set an uncomfortable tone. He then proceeded to call upstairs as though he were doing us some sort of favor just by allowing us to go up. The entire interaction felt transactional and judgmental rather than gracious. First impressions matter, especially at a place that positions itself as a premium dining destination. Hospitality begins at the door, not at the table. When we finally made it upstairs, the room was filled with visibly drunk, rowdy groups -- which only made the earlier attitude feel even more misplaced. If that environment is acceptable (and profitable), then two polite guests looking for drinks and food shouldn't be met with suspicion at the entrance. By that point, the damage was done. The initial interaction had already rubbed us the wrong way, and the energy upstairs didn't help. We ultimately decided to leave before even sitting at our table. That's how strongly the first impression impacted us. It's difficult to justify staying somewhere when you don't feel genuinely welcomed from the outset. Duck & Waffle has the potential to be memorable for all the right reasons. But someone representing the brand at the very front needs to understand that hospitality isn't optional -- it's foundational. A simple, respectful welcome would have changed everything. I hope management takes this seriously, because no guest should feel judged or dismissed before they even step inside.
