Pretty, rolling course. Variety of holes. Friendly people, close to the Twin Cities. Multiple tee boxes.

Those who had the slushies said they were very sugary. On the flight, only one really was good enough to take home, the others were only ok. Got a cheese plate, which was a little underwhelming. Servers were friendly and were hustling for sure. Got yelled at by the performer for taking a photo of each other during his performance outside.

There are tables and booths in the back portion of the location but there was a "private" party (who brought in their own food and wine?!) so we shared a high top in the front of the tasting room. We ordered flights of 5 wines ($9 each) and the deluxe cheese and crackers. I hate to say it- but all the wines we sampled were not good. The "Port Station" was the best of the 10 wines I sampled. It is a Frontenac grape and wasn't really a port, but it was dry and slightly more full bodied than anything else we sampled. Not really worth taking a bottle home. All the other wines tasted watered down and honestly, I don't think I've ever been to a winery (or anywhere that served wine) where it was served in plastic cups. All the flavors were pretty flat without much aroma and no finish. A few had a bitter taste. The deluxe cheese and crackers were pretty basic and not really worth ordering. The wines were such a bummer- which should be the reason you visit a winery.

Whiskey burger was cooked perfectly and a solid choice. Trout bisque was everything it should be. I was glad I had a lemon wedge for my water. It is SUPER rich and you can't be afraid of salt. The mushroom and sausage flatbread was loaded and distinctly mushroomy. Drinks of course were the stars. The coffee martini with chai was velvety smooth. The Easy Street was refreshing and went down easy. It had just the right amount of sweet. The old fashioned game here sets the bar high. The Oahu gets a Minnesota "that's interesting." It smells like coconut as it should. Glad I tried it, thanks for the fun times...I'll call you later The Rye and WI old fashioneds are amazing and worth comparing side-by-side. Staff is accommodating and friendly. We did have to wait even though there were tons of empty tables (it was more about how many servers.) patio was open, but we sat inside. It is a comfortable, warm atmosphere. Love it here!

We ordered the cheese curds because that's what you do when you are in Wisconsin. Of course they were amazing. Service was prompt and excellent. This place has everything. Seems to be a venue for large gatherings, Had a bit of a sports bar vibe with the TV's. But it was nicer than a regular sports bar. Ordered a Brandy Old Fashioned which was strong; tasty and strong. One was enough. I saw some burgers go by to another table and that made me order one. Had the whiskey burger and it was amazing with the fries. I wish i lived closer. I would go here often. I understand they have drink mixing glasses and other fun things to do. This place is worth stopping for.

I have been coming here for years now for the AYCE Friday Night Fish Fry. Think they used to have it during Lent only, but their website says they opened it up in January this year so maybe not just Lent anymore. Met the Fish Fry connoisseur, Brian R, here along with his wife and newborn. A good time was had by all. $14.95 for the AYCE buffet. Four types of fish tonight: baked cod, beer-battered cod, cajun fried walleye and cajun fried tilapia. The only one I didn't care for much was the baked cod. Kind of on the cold side, but I think I grabbed the last couple filets in the tray. The rest was supurb. Like the sides almost as much as the fish. The Mac N Cheese, the baked bean casserole and the wild rice are all standouts. They also have a soup and salad bar, of which I did not partake of this evening, and a dessert bar, of which I did partake. Can never say no to cheesecake - some fruit topping would have been nice, though. They get pretty crowded. Told it would be a 25 minute wait, but ended up being much quicker. If you can, see if you can get seated in the bar area rather than the main dining room. It is a much more relaxed vibe.

Your going to hear every footstep pounding in your room! I have stayed at this location a few times and unfortunately two of the times I was unlucky and got a room with the noisy neighbors. I don't blame the neighbors totally, it mainly the shitty thin walls and ceiling. Last night took the cake! Actually had to switch rooms at 11:30pm. Upstairs room had kids running all night long. Started at 8pm and then they went to the pool (I know because I could hear the conversations! ). When they came back from the pool at around 10:30 it was party time! At 11:30, it was still going strong. So I called and asked the front desk for a different room, The young man working was understanding and did apologize and gave me a new room. Changing rooms at 11:30pm sucks, but I was happy I got into a quiet room eventually. I was a little put off while I was exchanging my keys that night however. There was a group of 5 checking in with no masks (even though there where signs staying Masks Must Be Worn). I guess I get it.... this guy working the late shift doesn't want to put up with anti-maskers.... but what about the people who do follow the rules? Bottom line.... don't mind this hotel if I get decent (or no) neighbors. Otherwise, quickly ask for a change! Or better yet... ask for the top floor at check in.
