I went to Killeen Hyundai to complete a vehicle lease buyout. I had already been approved through my bank and specifically requested that my credit application be submitted only to my bank. The salesperson was kind, professional, and even noted my request on the paperwork. After waiting for over an hour and 20 minutes, I still had not received my numbers. While I was sitting there, I received email notifications showing that six hard credit inquiries had been made without my permission. This was especially upsetting because I had clearly instructed the dealership not to submit my application to any other lenders. As a former employee of Keating Auto Group and Killeen Hyundai, I am disgusted and deeply disappointed by how this was handled. I expected my explicit instructions to be respected, but instead my credit was impacted without my authorization. Because of this experience, I will never do business with Killeen Hyundai again, and I will not recommend them to friends, family, or anyone looking to purchase or lease a vehicle. Zero stars. I wanted to buy a 2025 Hyundai Tucson XRT from Killeen Hyundai, but I just couldn't bring myself to buy from this dealership, or other Hyundai dealerships within an 80 mile radius of Killeen, when the dealerships in Texas add their dealer accessories onto the vehicle and pass on that cost to the buyer. For example, the dealer added window tint film to the Tucson, even though the vehicle comes with privacy class on all the rear windows and solar tint to the front windows. That tint added by the dealer will increase the vehicle price by over $400.00. The dealer added a GPS device to the Tucson, plugged into the OBD port, even though the Tucson (and other Hyundai vehicles) comes with built in GPS technology that is part of the Bluelink service offered by Hyundai. The Bluelink service is completely free for life to the original owner of the vehicle. If you are the second owner, such as you are buying a used car, you can still use Bluelink with a monthly or yearly subscription. The GPS device the dealer added will increase the vehicle price by over $800.00. All they had to do was unplug it from the OBD port, but they won't. Also, this added GPS device still requires a subscription if you choose to use it. If you want to add your own personal GPS tracking system anyway, look into a service by Bouncie. The Bouncie devices plug into your OBD port, are under $100.00 and offers military discounts. The dealer also added a windshield protection called C-Bond. This will increase the vehicle price by over $300.00. Before you buy a car from dealerships in Texas, find out what auto group they belong to. Most of the dealerships in the Killeen, Waco, Temple, Round Rock and Kyle Texas areas belong to Keating Auto Group or Penske Auto Group. They all add on those dealer accessories and get you to pay for it. So, what did I do? I rented a car from Hertz and drove all the way to Brooklyn Park, Minnesota just to buy a car from Walser Hyundai in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, and turned in the Hertz car in Brooklyn Center (Brooklyn Park), Minnesota. Nathan, a Walser Hyundai sales representative at Walser Hyundai Brooklyn Park, was professional, knowledgeable, polite, courteous and most importantly not pushy at all. Unlike the Hyundai dealerships in Killeen, Texas, Walser Hyundai Brooklyn Park does not add dealer add-ons or accessories on their vehicles, trying to get the customers to spend thousands of dollars on unnecessary items. Nathan, at Walser Hyundai is also the expert at selling cars to out-of-state residents. Nathan, the titling team and the finance team at Walser Hyundai ensures that the vehicle sales tax you pay is based on your home address on your driver license. So, if you're a Texan and you want to buy a car from Minnesota and have the car registered, titled and insured in Texas, you will pay the Texas vehicle sales tax rate (6.25%), not the Minnesota sales tax rate. This is the most unethical and incompetent car dealership I have ever dealt with in my 59 years of buying 30+ cars. I am embarrassed to admit I actually bought a car from them. And the service department was even worse than the sales department. The Hyundai Tucson Limited is a great car--just don't buy it or any other car from Killeen Hyundai. I say unethical because we were told that the after-market tracker the dealership had installed could not be removed. FALSE. Another Hyundai dealer removed it in minutes (for no charge) because it was draining our battery. (Also, why would a dealership install a tracking device when Hyundai provides that service free of charge with BLUELINK?) After six unsuccessful trips to the service department (50 mile round trips) in the first 8 months of ownership, to fix an earlier electrical problem with the instrument panel, we went to another Hyundai dealership that quickly fixed what was a well-known problem. When I arrived, I was told l'd need to leave my car for three days, no loaner was available, and I'd be charged for diagnostics if the warranty didn't apply. But the lady over the phone (who sounded like a robot) asked for my information over the phone. I can understand they needed my name, phone number, and email. But why do they need my address? Where I drew the line was when they asked my bank information. No establishment requires bank information from the customers JUST to make an appointment. But the lady kept saying it was "needed" for their system in order to make the appointment. And that my information will not be shared or compromised. Do not waste your time coming here!!! This dealership falsely advertised a vehicle for $23,980, which is the only reason I drove two and a half hours to see it. At no point before my visit was I clearly told that this price was conditional on financing through them. I had already made it clear that I intended to purchase the car with cash. After arriving, I was informed that the advertised price only applied if I financed through their dealership. When I declined and chose to pay cash, the manager refused to honor the listed price and instead quoted me $27,000 including tax, title, and registration -- a significant increase from what was advertised. This feels like a classic bait-and-switch tactic: advertise a low price to get customers in the door, then change the terms once they arrive. It's misleading, unprofessional, and a complete disregard for customers' time -- especially for those traveling long distances. They also lost another sale. I was planning to send my son here to purchase a vehicle he had been looking at, but after this experience, there is no way I would recommend this dealership to him or anyone else. Better communication between Service staff and mechanics. Mechanic put a decal on windshield showing next oil change due 13000 miles. Made an appt when I had 12900 miles and when I arrived, they said I didn't need it until 15000 miles. Reset my engine maintenance alert and now wondering when I'm supposed to come back. Did not replace maintenance sticker either. This is my second visit to the dealership and still don't feel they are there to provide "SERVICE"! read more

I took my car 2023 Hyundai PaliSade Killeen Tx Hyundai for a software update and a diagnostic for a light that on my door handle on Feb 20 and Today is Mar 6 still don't have my car yet ,My advisor ( Kelly) told me my handle was sent over to the body shop today to be painted and installed ,I call the body shop and to find out they sent the wrong part, My advisor said she don't know what happened with the parts situation ,But it will be another 24 to 48 hour before they get the new part in , Then they will have to send it to the body shops to get it painted again ! With that been said they will have my car another week !This is so upsetting and the worst service experience I ever had !!! Wish I could give negative stars. Bought a 2022 Tuscon from them for my wife three years ago. She was very specific on what she wanted and they were the only dealership within 200 miles that had it. It was a miserable experience. They refused to quote an asking price by phone or email, and of course they added on all kinds of crap as part of the sale (no, I do not need pure nitrogen in the tires). Finance guy was a complete ass as well, I wanted to pay cash but he did everything he could to make me finance through them. Plus they lowballed me on the trade in offer - luckily CarMax is across the freeway from them, so I went there and got almost twice what Killeen Hyundai offered. Fast forward the present and these people simply will not leave me alone. They have called at least 15 times in the past three months trying to get me to trade in the car for a new one. I've repeatedly told them I'm not interested and asked them to stop calling me. I might as well be talking to a piece of road kill. To this day I am truly sorry I bought our car from Killeen Hyundai. On 1/3/26 I took my 2018 Hyundai sonata in for a trunk latch recall. Worst mistake ever made. My trunk latch was working fine until they replaced it. Now I no longer have access to my vehicle trunk because of the incompetence of the person who replaced it. I called the dealership twice on 1/5/26 and got the run around. When asked to speak to the service associate who assisted me with the recall scheduling, (D.G) he was unavailable. When asked to speak to the service manager he was unavailable also. Four hours later when someone was available to speak to me, nothing was resolved. At the end of it all, I filed a complaint with headquarters and still have a broken trunk latch. The recall should not be for the trunk latch; it should be for the entire dealership. I think that we should start a boycott against Killeen Hyundai. Until they do right with their customers stop supporting them and take your business to Georgetown or elsewhere. They don't care about their customers. It only takes one voice one person to make a difference. read more

This place doesn't like veterans. Once our tags came in, they failed to roll them over to the DV plates. I was told that if I wanted DV plates that I would need to go get them myself. Why would you make someone's life more difficult?!? That's something else that this dealership doesn't understand and that's a problem when you're next to a large military installation. After a week, the people in the back office finally figured it out! I gave one star because the salesperson tried and was friendly AND you can't leave no stars. The new Killeen Hyundai is horrible. Not sure of the forced warranty purchase. It wasn't needed as my insurance offers all that for much less. March 31st of this year my car was sitting at 80% and just died and the maintenance people told me it was because the battery was bad BUT IVE BEEN SAYING THAT! I am very dissatisfied with my experience at this dealership. The dealership listed a new car at a particular price and then would not honor it as part of a new car promotion. I asked prior to visiting the dealership for availability of the vehicle and was told it was in stock. I asked them if they would let me know if the vehicle was sold because I was taking time off of work and did not want to travel if the vehicle was not there. When I arrived, I was told the vehicle was not available. I then shared my text exchange showing the vehicle was available and my request. The salesman went back to look again and was able to find it. He said it's not available because it's the GM's (general managers) loaner car and it's not currently for sale. He said someone accidentally forgot to change it from new to used. However, I don't understand how it was reduced when it's not even for sale. They said it would be for sale when the manager reached a certain point of mileage. I believe the advertised price of the new vehicle was intentionally falsely advertised to drive people to the dealership. Once there, they are told it's not available and shown a different vehicle outside of that price point. Our 2019 Hyundai Tuscon refused to start 4 days in a row. After waiting a few minutes, the car would "come alive", interior lights would come on, and the car would start. On the 4th occasion of this, the car no longer started at all so we had it towed to Killeen Hyundai. They assured us they would run diagnostics on it and repair it. After 8 days, they said it started for them every time they tried and they could do nothing until the problem replicated. After 10 days, (and them saying they tried starting it several times with no problem), we picked it up. On the drive home the screen inside blinked repeatedly and after arriving home, the car would not start. It was obvious they had only tried to start the car a couple of times, and never drove it. I've been inconvenienced by this dealership service department so many times and I'm tired of it. I've received letters from Hyundai regarding recalls on my car. After calling and having them look up my VIN, I was told there was a total of 3 that needed to be completed. I finally decided to get them done today after scheduling an APPOINTMENT a few days prior. When I arrived, I was checked in pretty quickly and dropped off my keys. After nearly 6 hours and zero contact from my advisor (Heather), I decided to call to get a status. She called me back and advised me that they only had 1/3 parts and I would either have to leave my car or come back. I am baffled that it took 6 hours to tell me that my car couldn't be serviced. What was being done for the entire day? To top it all off, the "recall" was them providing me with a steering wheel lock. No actual service was done. Considering I live an hour away, I was not too keen on either of those options but I decided to just pick my car up. When I arrived at the dealership, some of the advisors had a hard time finding my info in the system and started questioning if I remembered what my advisor looked like that I checked in with...? Already pissed, I tried to keep my composure as they told me they'd call me when the part comes in. Why are they even allowing customers to schedule and come in for services without confirming if they even have the parts? I FINALLY finish checking out and go to the line to pick my car up. I'm standing and waiting in the heat for at least 15 mins with no update. I start walking towards the back and see my car hidden in the corner. Once I start walking towards it, an agent greets me and tells me my car is ready. Thanks for letting me know when I was ALREADY walking to it. I understand why the turnover is so high at this dealership. They have terrible business practices. Customer service sucks. They overcharge for everything. This might be the LAST time I ever deal with Hyundai. I'll be leaving reviews on every platform now because I am at my widths end with them. read more

Their website listed "Killeen Price" as MSRP 37,200 (sticker price), but when I inquired about the vehicle the salesman quoted a price that included $4,491 in dealer add-ons (see picture). Note: I'm a veteran and it includes their $500 veteran discount. The vehicle was in transit, so no dealer add-ons were actually added yet. When I said I didn't want the dealer add-ons, they refused to sell the car without the two most expensive add-ons, so still included $2,898 for GPS Theft Protection and Windshield Protection. I don't know if this is illegal (i.e. their website listing the vehicle as "Killeen Price", but not honoring that), but it is certainly not honorable. Most recently the Venue in November 2020. 1. 6 months later went for "free" oil change and was told "too early-low mileage". 2. tried again in two months now almost a year out since purchase, no one picked up service phone and was cut off numerous times trying to get thru again 3. said f-it and went to Walmart, Jiffy Lube, etc. and no one had correct filter 4. Finally found one at Auto Zone and went back to Walmart for change out 5. During this time took fiancé to dealership to look at new Hyundai Konas 6. In middle of sales negotiation, salesman was abruptly "fired" rukidding? 7. Explained/protested how rude that was to deal with that publicly, especially since we were considering a new car purchase at the time. 8. Be very careful when buying a car here. Went in and told the salesman exactly what i wanted and after going to other dealerships I started to rethink getting a car at this time as our needs and wants were outside of budget. Salesman was very nice and showed us a hyundai sel convience 2025 that he said they would get to work at our term and budget. While we are at our budget we did not get the car we thought and was told to us. We were given a hyundai sel sport. On top of the extended term they managed to work in a GPS tracker that though the salesman said comes with the car we were charged 1500 for it. Went into talk to someone about all this and basically you signed it "we can post the video, we're all above board". Nothing they did may be inherently wrong as our signatures are there. But I recommend finding a more transparent dealer who listens to what you say and will be honest because I made it very clear that if it wasn't the right time I could move on and look down the road. Basically read every line and down to the car you are seeing later on and understand they are in it to get some money. But during this they were all very polite. read more

I think everyone should be aware of their pricing. We were searching for a Sante Fe or Palisade online. There were certain features we wanted and were shopping on a handful of dealer websites. We printed the price from their website and made the drive from Cedar Park to Killeen to see the vehicles. Upon arrival the price shown on the vehicle was different. Seems like a violation of the UCC. Basically a bait-and-switch. When asked the salesman said that the dealer adds a bunch of extras, required extras, that add another $1,300 or so to the price. What are these pricey extras? $500 for window tint. I don't want that...tough luck. What if I want darker tint...or lighter? Doesn't matter, you're forced to pay for the tint you didn't ask for. Another $500 for a protective film on the windshield (explained as "basically like the screen protector on your cell phone"...which I don't bother with on my cell phone). Don't forget the paint protectant too. Required. So basically it is forced insurance on the windshield and paint, with required tint. So the prices you see online don't include these required add-ons. If you live in the Austin area, you're better off going to Round Rock where they don't force you to pay for things you don't want. read more

My car experienced the transmission issue and recall. The dealer where I purchased the Santa Fe, not Killeen, offered a 6 month out appointment to diagnose the car, even after seeing that I had a check engine light showing. I called Killeen Hyundai, a dealer that I had not visited previously about the issue. I received an appointment the next day. As it turned out, my Santa Fe required a new (remanufactured) transmission. As the car would be in the shop for at least a week, they offered a loaner. They don't normally offer loaners but I imagine that Hyundai, the manufacturer authorized the loaner. In any case, I receive my car back in 1 1/2 weeks. While Killeen is 50 miles away from my selling dealer and my home, I plan to bring all my work to Killeen, even the 7,500 mile oil changes. I am very happy with their response and would recommend them for service. read more

Bought a car with lifetime oil changes and when the dealership was Bought out I was told it was grandfathered in and that they could see the agreement in there system. Now I am told they refuse to loom it up anymore and unless I have the original paperwork they will no longer hinor the oil changes. The car only has 80k miles on it. I could have bought the car somewhere else for a cheaper price but the lifetime oil changes was a good deal. I cannot tell you how bad working with their service department is. I've had to get two issues fixed under warranty, and trust me, if it wasn't a warranty claim and I HAD to go here, I would never step foot on that property again. The people are nice enough, but it's a constant stream of BS and talking in circles. It took them 5 months from first visit to last with multiple week long visits in the interim to replace a single headlight. Now, I have a transmission fluid leak. We're on day 9 of waiting for a part that they said would take 3 days to arrive. But, their "system is down" not sure how that correlates to the part not being delivered, or that their system has been down for a week straight and how they're managing to do anything if that's the case. I took my car for dealer recalls their service department is absolutely the worst I've ever seen dropped it off call me back an hour later said they couldn't do nothing because of the computers being down but they said they did fix the trunk lock once I drove out of there the lock didn't work but they said they were going to call me back so I could take the car back in never got a call back from the deal service department call them up and now they're denying that they ever fixed the lock they said that they did all kinds of other stuff which they did not because they didn't the computers were down they couldn't do none of the software I talked to the service manager Joe Joe gave me a long story kept on saying that my last name was something else and that they had received my car a couple of other times which I've never taken my car there it's kind of sad that you like a vehicle and their service department treat you like s***f and to believe that I was actually planning on trading at him for a new one they turned me off I might have to go to another dealership somewhere else but the one in Killeen no good guys their service department bad name to Hyundai read more

I'm giving this place one star because I absolutely have to, but if I could give zero, that's where this rating would be. I don't even know where to start with this nightmare of an experience I had. My appointment was at 11am and I continuously waited for a service advisor to come to my vehicle, but it wasn't until 45 min later that I had to wave 3 people down for someone to finally approach me. After I left the car there, my advisor told me the diagnostic would only take until later that day or earliest the next day, but guess what? NO CALL. So for the next FIVE DAYS I called again and again asking what the status of my vehicle was and each time I called, I was told "I'll leave a message and tell them to call you back." BS. If I knew I wasn't going to have my vehicle for that long, I would've gotten a rental. Anyway, I was so fed up with how horrible communication was that I went to go pick up my vehicle and it took them TWO HOURS to bring the car from the lot. I couldn't believe it. During that wait, I met 3 other people who had the same issues. One lady said she kept her car there for a month and a half and eventually had to get the vehicle towed off the property. The other ladies had an oil change and tire rotation they had to get done. One waited 8 hours and the other waited 4. Please do yourself the service and go somewhere else, even if your warranty covers it. It is not worth the hassle of going through this horribly disorganized place.
