...continued from below... Third, we discussed another customer's major issue that had been casually mentioned to me while I was buying mine (which I won't disclose here) but not fully explained. Suffice to say, it made me 'apprehensive'. During our phone conversation, all was made clear about that issue and I have to say that I was quite impressed by how they resolved it because I have NEVER heard of a dealership going to that extent to resolve an issue of that magnitude. In my estimation, 999 out of 1000 dealers would say "You bought it AS-IS, you're stuck with it!" For this customer, they assumed responsibility even though it wasn't their fault, fixed the problem, and gave the customer a fantastic resolution. As I said above, they get 5 STARS for Customer Service. Fourth, if you are looking for a reasonably priced vehicle that is in good shape (or better!) internally and externally, that is not mis-represented as something it is not, and you find what you are looking for on their lot, then you owe it to yourself to go visit BTAP. Odds are that you will be impressed with what you see and your experience, even if you don't buy. Finally, I have high hurdles and demanding standards that a lot of people think are unrealistic. Read my prior reviews and you'll see where I either praise a business or take them to task for their shortcomings. I can't tell someone how to run their business, but I can tell them my perception (which is why Yelp exists) and it's up to them to decide whether my perception is right or not. Is my perception reasonable and can it be articulated? I believe it is and was in this case, albeit not very precisely or clearly the first time around. In my case, did they need to fix the brakes? I mentioned them and they acknowledged the issue. Different people will say "Why are you complaining when you got such a great deal? Why make a big deal out of it?" and my response would be "Because I shouldn't have to". You either get this or you don't, I shouldn't have to lay it all out. Ratings are based on the reviewers perception and to the extent they believe the business should be performing in order to receive 5 stars. While I still disagree with BTAP about what should be expected and delivered, and they may feel that I was asking for too much, I am otherwise COMPLETELY SATISFIED WITH MY VEHICLE PURCHASE. Unfortunately, Yelp doesn't allow you to break out your ratings into categories, or even do half-stars. If the maintenance items noted above had been taken care of prior, and the vehicle had received a fabric interior shampoo cleaning, this would be a 5 Star review.
