Jack is unprofessional and disorganized. Service was difficult to coordinate, and on the second service they came over two hours late. I asked them to use their electric leaf blower inside the garage, Jack forgot, and had his worker come back with a gas powered blower that he used inside my garage. Gas blowers are not permitted, and he blew dust all over my car and garage. He is difficult to manage and doesn't do an adequate job as an owner. There was also a glass outdoor light that was broke and shattered glass was left behind. His workers are careless and not worth the cost to manage. I would not recommend. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I have King and Queen palms they trimmed about 3 months ago. They were trimmed with chain saws that left them looking hacked up. Also a vintage St. Francis statue was broken, as palm fronds fell they damaged several plants below and the cover on my fireplace was dented. They said they didn't do it. Lie. I had to hire another company to come and do a cleanup and fix problems. A palm on the front yard was trimmed back so far the top snapped off in the last storm, a 25 year old Queen palm that will die and have to be removed. Used them on a recommendation from a friend. He had some great ideas to go along with what we wanted and the vibe of the backyard. He came in and transplanted plants, replaced the soil with a heathy mix, re-tooled our sprinkler system to match the incoming plants, installed a diamond trellis for the star jasmine on the wall and covered it all with great looking rocks. Last Fall of 2022, we decided to re-do our entire yard - front and back. Many of our shrubs were overgrown. Jack came out and walked the yard and had many great ideas on shrubs to remove, shrubs to keep, and shrubs to add. His guys are so conscientious and hard working. Some of the root systems were tough to fully remove, but they did a superb job. We replaced all planters with drip irrigation, replaced our old irrigation controller, replaced all sod, cleared or replaced yard drains, and added hundreds of shrubs and plants. Not one plant has died so far. We topped off Jack's great landscaping with LED lighting and it truly looks like a resort. Cars even stop to admire the "look". First off, Jack is a stand-up guy. I can't recommend Killelea Landscape enough. We selected Killelea Landscape based on the reviews we read and we do not regret it. We had a majority of our backyard redone. There was no upselling and Jack will work with you to stay within your budget. He has a large crew with specific laborers specializing in demolition, construction, and landscaping. Everyone is very friendly and hard-working. We had some very lofty ideas initially. We had a backyard designer come out to give us a consult for $100 and see what we could actually do. Once we knew we could and couldn't do, we had Jack come out and work with us based on what we wanted and he had some great ideas too. We could tell he had a lot of experience as his dad was the original owner of the business for more than 30 years. We didn't even need to get the 3D design saving us $1,400. Jack really knows his stuff and we were able to do the vast majority of what we originally wanted, which included new concrete with drains, artificial grass, 50 different plants, which we let Jack select based on his knowledge of what works in areas with high sun exposure and areas with very little sun exposure. We also included Star Jasmin that is set up to grow along the long wall, 5 cypress trees to go along with our other cypress trees, a drip irrigation system, lighting along the planters around the perimeter of our yard (21 lights), and a large, custom aluma-wood patio cover with stone pillars, recessed lights, and a ceiling fan. Once we solidified our plan, we had a bid in less than a week. As with any major home project, issues do arise. Every bump in the road was resolved with a great solution at reasonable cost or no cost at all. They also repaired any damage (minor) that they caused to anything pre-existing. The work the Killelea crew puts in is amazing and well worth the bid we received. So much more goes into the project than one would realize based on what's listed in the bid. Things took longer than originally planned, mostly because of the permit process for our patio cover, but the results are spectacular and we are very happy! read more

Had a great experience with this company. Had 2 sprinkler zones not working in our front yard. I can change out pop ups and sprinkler risers myself and checked the valves manually and determined the problem, but replacing valve units is not within my DIY ability. Used the Yelp app to get quotes and JK was the only one who responded with a very reasonable quote after I sent a pic of the valve box. Jack came by 2 days later and spent several hours on it due to a 35-year old valve box that proved difficult to deal with. I found a leak the next morning and Jack came within just a few hours. After extensive careful shoveling, turned out to be a main pipe leak at the very bottom - nothing to do with his work the day before - but Jack spent the afternoon fixing it, having to completely tear out the whole valve box assembly that he had replaced and then replace the PVC piping assembly beneath it and reassemble the whole thing. Absolutely great work, great attitude and great price. From my experience you won't find a more dedicated, personable or reasonably priced sprinkler/landscape person. Thanks, Jack! read more

I called Jack because my sprinklers were continually running. Jack came to my home in a timely manner complying with Covid protocols. He quickly analyzed the issue as a very old sprinkler control valve system and suggested the three valves be replaced. He quoted a fair price for labor and materials and set a date for installation. He arrived on time. The job required some hard manual labor, plumbing the system for the install and the electric installation. Jack did it all himself.
