We came to Killer Queen before going to a Reds game while visiting Cincinnati. Killer Queen is in the strip of bars and restaurants in a blocked off section between Great American and Paycore stadiums. There is indoor and outdoor seating and a cool vibe. Everyone working was friendly and attentive. We had a pizza and pretzel sticks. The pizza had a crispy crust and a lot of flavor. The outdoor seating and booths inside offer plenty of space to sit with friends. We love the drinks here and the atmosphere. There are always plenty of bartenders to help you. The best time to stop by is later in the evening but it's also fine stopping during the day before a game at the stadium. read more

Great spot in The Banks near the Reds Great American Ballpark. Nice find that was not as crowded and slammed as its neighbors. Fast and friendly service at the bar for beers and cocktails. Great happy hour beer prices. Nice bar appetizers also - we had the buffalo chicken knots and the beer pretzels, both were nice choices for waiting out a Reds rain delayed start. read more

This place has a great location at the Banks with a cool design, definitely more for a weekend than a casual night with friends. I ordered the namesake drink--the Killer Queen cocktail and was disappointed. It came out bright pink with a sour candy stuck on top unlike on the menu that said elderflower with a rosemary sprig. When I questioned if it was the same drink, the bartender replied that the drink had been changed a while ago and the menu wasn't updated. Not sure if the rest of the drink was supposed to be the same but kinda defeats the point of a menu?! It was super sweet and I wouldn't order again. read more

So...went here on Sunday afternoon around 3. Pretty slow and bartenders spoke right away and were very attentive, super plus. Our bartender's name was Allison and she crafted our cocktails perfectly. I had the Charlemagne Problems which was slightly tart but also slightly sweet, I really enjoyed it. My husband had the short king cocktail, he obviously liked it because he forgot to give me a taste. Basically an old fashion with a twist. I asked if the kitchen was open and they told me yes, you order at the computer at the front right corner of the bar. So easy...they text when your order is ready and you walk right over to the pick up window inside. This is genius, especially if it's a crowded night. I love the vibe of this place but I don't know if I could handle this place when packed wall to wall for a game or a Saturday night. Seems like there would be a very different vibe. There were actually a few obnoxious patrons in there on a Sunday afternoon, I can't imagine if it was a full bar. I'll stick to the afternoons ha! The pizza was just decent. The sauce, dough and cheese were good, toppings left a lot to be desired. My husband said it wasn't much better than frozen pizza because of the low quality toppings. I would probably only order the pizza again if I was drinking a lot. The huge Pretzel and beer cheese was your standard fresh pretzel, I enjoyed it. Do NOT skip the pizza bombs, add on garlic sauce for 75 cents. Soooo tasty, definitely the best item on the small menu. So for my first time..service was good and food was satisfying (need better sausage for the pizza). Check them out. If you're not afraid of the crowds, go have a wild night at Killer Queen. Or you can be like me and check it out early enough before the 20 somethings take over each weekend night. P.S. House shots were good, off with your head was my fav. Killer Queen is one of my friend groups' go to bars when down at The Banks. The outdoor seating area is great during the summer and allows for a break from the busy inside area. Upon entering, there is a massive Killer Queen neon sign that is great for pictures and the lighting is amazing. The booths surrounding the perimeter of the bar and face the center makes it easy for conversation or meeting new people. The bartenders are efficient and knowledgeable. Although it can get pretty busy before and after a Reds game, the bartenders do their best to keep up and there is even a To-Go ordering area out front so you can enjoy the rest of The Banks. read more

I was extremely excited when coming down to the banks for the new bar, especially since I do not get down there often. The prices were competitive with the other bars down there and downtown in general and we even went on a Sunday when it was $4 House shots and we had both of those. The cocktails were good and shots were decent! Overall, the experience was great and staff was friendly. The vibe was a 10/10 and there was the option to order pizza and other finger foods. Just like everywhere down at the Banks, there might be a wait when they are little busier. While I do not see myself going here all the time, I think it is a place to stop in at least. Killer Queen cements itself as one of the best bars at the banks after being open less than a year. This a great addition to a set of bars highlighting the Cincinnati district. It's much more trendy and a tad more boujee which is just what we needed after Galla parks left for good. I'm a cheap beer guy, but this place does have some neat cocktails. The photo/selfie machine is iconic as it gets. Probably the best set up I've ever seen in a bar. The visuals of Killer Queen and the lights inside make the pictures some great memorabilia. The bar is located directly in the middle, and the common people circle around it or snag a seat on top of the booth (don't worry, ownership doesn't care). As for the bar itself, it seems to have adopted the Galla Park clientele. A lot of beautifully dressed people standing around scheming on anything that walks. So a great place to go if you're a group of singles. Sporting event wise I'd much prefer Holy Grail or even Stretch. Game day atmosphere just isn't the same here, But if you are just looking for a spot to go on the weekends then Killer Queen might your best bet on a night out in downtown Cincinnati. read more
