Asked to sample their ice cream. Server immediately states you can only sample two flavors. Guessing that's because it's so expensive. Paid $8 for scoop of ice cream plus a suggested tip, so $9. The ice cream was just ok, seemed to me like it's been sitting a while probably because not many people want to spend $9 for a scoop of ice cream. I think it was terribly over priced and I do not recommend. Also, if you and intend to use their rest room have fun trying to use the toilet paper!

It's pretty awesome! Free fudge tasting! Lots to choose from: fudge, to dipped delights, petite fours, bon bons, ice cream, shakes/malts, ice cream cakes to popcorn. What stood out was chocolate dipped or pecan and caramel dipped rice krispee treats on a stick (looked divine). Even if your not a chocolate fan there is something for everyone. Good service with a smile. When I was there the ice cream line was building up and hardly anyone in the front half for chocolate delights. It is kinda overwhelming all the choices here. I wish they had several separate stands with samples and employees explaining a little background to their magic. Good location within walking distance from all the fabulous stores and restaurants in downtown Geneva.

Sweet Treats to kick-off the weekend

So we decided to spend our September date day in Geneva. During our time popping in & out of cute little shops in the downtown area we bumped into a Kilwins. We fell in love with the brand a few summers ago during our vacation at Lake Geneva so it was definitely a treat to enjoy this ice cream during our day-out. As usual the flavors did not disappoint. My hubby opted for a nutty-inspired combo with butter pecan and New Orleans praline pecan. While I stayed with my traditional coffee cappuccino treat. The counter attendant was super accommodating and offered to split my scoop so I could enjoy two flavors without the extra calories. Since it was a beautiful afternoon we decided to sit out on the patio to enjoy our treats. Needless to say we enjoyed our ice cream pit stop and recommend everyone consider planning a fun date @ Kilwins

I'm a chocolate lover so walking in to this place is like heaven. Great place to go alone or take the entire family. They have everything you could possibly think of in chocolate. I wasn't able to try there ice cream but by the look of the line it must me good. I picked up a few Taffy Apples and they were fresh and so good. This place was very busy but barely no waiting. They know what there doing here. Will visit this place again when I'm enjoying Geneva's night life.

My family and I were walking by Kilwins when we were stopped in our tracks by the sweet smell coming from inside. We walked in and right off the bat saw someone making fresh waffle cones on the waffle iron. My family each tried a different flavor and we were each very happy that we had stopped in.

This place is across from The Litte Traveler. I was on a rush but ordered a milk shake from chocolate coconut. Oh my gosh. It was so amazingly delicious. Not too sweet, just perfect. While I was waiting for my drink I noticed they have so many things. They have all sorts of milk or dark chocolate covered stuff. The place looks pretty cool. It has a nice sitting area. I'll definitely be coming here again. Geneva down town seems very nice.

    Mmmmm! Thanks Tom.

First, the entire store is a walk through chocolate history and creations, with a Chocolate Tree in the center. The shop was featured on Food Network! It was a pleasurable experience, perfect on a rainy Saturday spring day. The service was fantastic!! Starting with reservations, which was a "comedy of errors" to the moment we left. Esther's friendliness and attention to our comfort and taste elevated our experience. We started with the light, flakier tasty warm classic scones. Then we moved to the delicious, satisfying, variety of finger sandwiches - the traditional cucumber was perfectly refreshing to clean the palate before the sweet phase of our meal. In the mix there was a spinach-cheese tart which it would have been tastier served warm. I selected a violet dark tea which was lighter than I expected, perhaps it would have been stronger if would have let if brew a little longer. The assortments of pastries/sweets were delectable and mouth-watering - macaron, sponge cake, coconut chocolate drizzled macaroons, custard, and a truffle. All inviting, succulent, and scrumptious. I will be back!

It is a small storefront that shares the…read moresame building as the theatre and has an entrance from the inside of the theatre as well as from the side street around the corner. A name like "Chicago Turtle Factory" caught my attention, since it depicted a cartoon turtle on its sign. This is a nice little candy and popcorn shop run by two charming Indian guys. I came in and found what I wanted immediately: chocolate covered raisins layered in a very thick coating of chocolate, just the way I like it. Then I looked around and saw something my 6 year old would like: red, white and blue gummy toy soldier chewy candy. And something for my older son: chewy candy slices covered in sugar. As I bought these things, the man at the counter offered me a sample of his own toffee, made right there. While I am not a toffee fanatic, one taste of the smooth tasting and crunchy toffee, and I knew my wife would love this. So I ended up spending quite a bit of time and money before I was done here. I even came back into the store after I had already found my seat at the theatre. Besides their own hand-dipped chocolate treats, the store carries a variety of bulk candies, nuts, or jelly beans. There's also old-time favorites you can't find these days, like those candy cigarettes some people might remember seeing long ago, but are now frowned upon by those who think they encourage smoking in kids. Since the Turtle Factory is connected to the theatre lobby, it is like a concession shop for Arcada patrons. And looking for good cheesy popcorn? They got some gourmet cheese corn in small bags at the counter too. Since I look forward to return to Arcada, I know I will be back in here again as well.

It was the biggest sample that I've ever received at a chocolate/candy store. The caramel was fresh and not stale, and my eyes went like O_O when I saw the gigantic size of one whole turtle! It was the size of my palm lol. - nice selection of gummy candies and chocolate-covered goodies. A lot of the non-prepackaged candies are stored in these large plastic container jars. - caramel & cheese popcorn was delicious, a good non-Garrett's contender. - convenient location right next to Starbucks. I can just walk here from the library. I have a fondness for sour gummy candies so I picked out a few like sour grapefruit, black cherry, green apple, and striped strips. Of those, I liked the sour grapefruit the best. The total came to $2.79, priced at $3.99/half-pound. Gummybears are about $2.99/half-pound, some sour gummies at $3.99, others priced higher. The cheese & caramel popcorn was $5.99 for a large bag the size of a gallon of milk. You can get 2 for $10, or a smaller size for $3.99. Cons: - needs better interior design. A candy store should evoke memories of childhood and happiness. The interior design for this business seemed too utilitarian for me. Someone should pretty this place up. - unfortunately, I spotted at least two gummy varieties that didn't look fresh, like there was liquid towards the bottom of the jar.

The air is filled with intoxicating aromas of chocolate, caramel, cotton candy, candy, sugary treats, and so much more. You can't help but to feel a rush of pure bliss and happiness! To the two big swings. They make it a point to make it feel fun and festive! The walls of flowers are my favorite part. It makes you feel as if you're in a garden. I also love the Hey Sugar sign that makes for the perfect picture! They also have a British telephone booth, a scooter bar cart, along with inspirational signs that add that fun good vibes! Every little detail is well thought over and it shows. They have a huge selection of unique flavor combinations that are creative and delicious! I will definitely be back every time I'm in town! Snickerdoodle cupcake This cupcake was crumbly, dense, and rich! I loved how it had a swirl of cinnamon goodness throughout the cupcake. Not only was it aesthetically pleasing. But, it added a demotion of flavor to the cupcake that made it stand appart from just a regular cupcake. The frosting was piled high! It was airy, sweet, and light! It tasted like cinnamon French toast but, in frosting format! Unbelievably good! They also put the cutest little snickerdoodle cookie on top. I loved it! It added that little bit of much needed texture and that cuteness that I'm a sucker for. I'm big about multiple textures and well thought out meals. This cupcake was just that!
