This review is long overdue. I have been here three times to get a pedicure, and Jenny does an amazing time each time. My pedicures last over a month and still look great. I always get French tip on my toes and the line work is perfect, and they NEVER chip. Also, it's very relaxing inside cause you're usually the only patron there or there's maybe one other person so it's calm while you're there. To top it all off, Jenny is always so kind and makes you feel welcomed. Lastly, they are very sanitary and give you the files they used on your toes to ensure they aren't reusing them. Great salon! It's a quaint salon that does quality work and that's what I look for when I get my pedicures. They let me keep the nail file and buffer so you know they don't reuse it on other customers. They aren't pushy about add ons either. Believe the hype/reviews! I honestly thought they weren't real until I went for myself last week. They are sooo nice, gentle, not pushy, nor gossip! Its quiet and there is just the owner and another worker who works on you both at the same time. They take walk-ins only if they're free but prefer appts since it's just them 2 so call ahead. I love this nail salon. It's super close to my house, it's clean, decorated really nicely and the attention to detail is outstanding! I have been a nail biter for as long as I can remember (even as a child) but during COVID, I made a conscious effort to grow out my nails. I used to faithfully go to another salon in La Mesa for pedicures but when I got a gel manicure about 2 months ago, it started peeling about 1 week later. So I tried another nail salon near my home but the technician was rough and the experience was not enjoyable. Isn't the whole purpose of getting a mani/pedi so you feel pampered? Then I decided to give Kim H a try. Luckily I caught her on a day and time when she wasn't super busy. My gel manicure was amazing! Kim H only uses two product lines - OPI and Caramia, both are high quality and low odor. I decided to book an appointment for a pedicure a few days later and Jenny did a wonderful job. The hot stone massage was luxurious! This is definitely my new nail salon and highly recommend this place. Wow! I have lived down the street from Kim H Salon and I didn't even know that I was missing out on this gem in my hood. I usually drive out of the neighborhood to get my nails done as I'm picky and can never find a good nail spot, that is consistent. I called last minute yesterday and they accommodated me within the hour and a half. My pedicure was AMAZING. She took her time and my big toe is shaped perfect (iykyk). Kim H Nails does not disappoint! The staff are very friendly and professional. They use new equipment every time and open it in front of you. I took my 6 year old daughter with me to get a mani and pedi and Kim explained everything and all the equipment before using it. I have been to other nail salons around the area and every time I get a pedicure, the nail polish is chipping off by the end of the day but at Kim H Nails, my nail polish will last for weeks!
