I have been coming here for a few years now and they are extremely honest they never change their price or add in any extra cost for something random like other places I've gone to I get acrylic, nails and hombre and Don is a perfectionist!!! my nails always look great and they are very affordable. I was sooo disappointed. Never coming here again. I have given this place multiple tries and every time I come here they always give me a reason to not come back. The guy who did my nails is always so rude and has an attitude. I'm not a confrontational person so I always hate speaking up but this recent interaction really left me with a salty feeling. I asked for a bubble bath and he got the color wrong so I told him to add powder thinking it would help the situation (in which he charged me 15 dollars extra). I've been here twice and returned because I enjoy the pedicure process here. They take their time with the massages which I enjoy. However, I feel like they aren't attentive to details. The first time I was here, I got my usual all white polish for my toes. There were bubbles on my big toe when she was done and I didn't notice until I got home. The second time, I didn't have the best experience. I had someone else different but while they tried to take out my ingrown, a lot of skin was pulled off. It's been 3 days and my toe is still irritated and bleeding. I like this place but I've never had someone pull off so much skin that my toe is continuously bleeding for days. read more

He's professional, affordable and efficient as well. I've made the mistake of trying other salons that were closer, and it was a huge mistake. I lived in Otay Ranch when I first began going to him, and now I live in Menifee! I have no problem driving past thousands of nail salons, because I know I'm going to the best there is. Nina is my primary manicurist and always on point. She is polite,cordial and efficient with services but does not take away from the quality of services. She is excellent with gel manicures, spa pedis and even does eye brows and eyelashes!!! Other great manicurist I have worked with in the past are Kim and Karen. Make your appointment and don't forget to get the card signed where 10 signatures for each visit is a free service - mani or pedicure. They offer cold water. Have hot towels and hot stones with the pedi's. This is a clean and well staffed establishment. But they do have new people working from time to time so find a manicurist and stick with the one you like most. read more

This is a hidden little gem. I love this place. I'm not into getting my nails done, I usually just go for a pedi to random nail places. But this one locked me in. I went for the first time to get eye lash extensions and the technician who helped me, at check out offered a mani so I agreed as I had plenty of time to burn. Her name is Karen and she did such an amazing job and was very gentle but quick. The gel lasted for 3 weeks and no broken nails for once... yay! So I had to come back and do it all over again I was so pleased with the results! I got my lashes done there now as a second time, they're clusters, so a little more dramatic than the single lash application, I asked for a more natural look as I dont do well with super large lashes, and she delivered the exact results that I was looking for, Karen for the WIN! read more

Today was my first time here. My best friend & I decided to get our nails done, we chose Angel's because of their Yelp reviews. We loved that there is an actual parking lot. When we walked in, we were greeted right away. We asked how much a gel mani was ($23) and they asked if we wanted a pedi ($16). We just wanted a mani, so they sat us down next to each other and it was just a couple minute wait. Karen did a gel mani. She was great! She really took her time- cut cuticles, shaped & filed my nails, put my hands in a warmer & lotion/massaged my hands. She was so friendly & welcoming that I asked her if she did waxing- she does!! So she did my eyebrows also. The only reason I am not giving a full 5 star review is because when it came time to paying- I was charged $26 for my nails. I paid it with no questions asked, but I complained to my girlfriend after we left. She made a good point that maybe I was charged the extra $3 because I had a French white tip color as opposed to painting my full nails. Either way, I should've been informed of the price difference. I don't typically leave BAD reviews & the ladies here are super sweet & kind BUT lets get to the quality of the service. I tried & wanted so badly to like my nails, being i was referred & it was my first time coming. But after getting out in the light & looking closely at my nails, going home showing my husband & daughter & friends i realized that this has to be the worst nail job I've ever had. They were super thick, from the side the nail was higher than the cuticle very bumpy and the edges were super rough with divots. I then spent an hour at home filing down half the thickness & then applying gel to make them look more presentable. Thank god i have all the resources at home. I haven't been here in a month because I don't live in San Diego, but since it was my boyfriend's birthday weekend, I was super excited to get my nails done here for the occasion. I was really impressed on how nice my nails were and how long it lasted my first time here, but I didn't get the same reaction my second time! Unfortunately, some of my nails were not shaped evenly. The lady who did my gel acrylic nails didn't seem very experienced since she overlapped the nail color on my thumbs and didn't fully cover my nails with color on the other fingers. My cuticles weren't even pushed back. I think she just shaved them off or something. The holographic paint on my index and ring fingers weren't fully covered with the powder used to create the effect, and its only been two days, and the gel paint came off on my right hand middle finger. So disappointed. I even paid $10 more for the same full set!!!! When I wasn't even satisfied with my nails!!!! I didn't want to say anything because I didn't want to hurt her feelings, so I left a $10 tip and left. I'm pretty sure that was more than enough for a mediocre job. read more

I decided to try this place as it's close to home. For the first visit: I did a pedicure and was decently satisfied with the outcome. Polish lasted about a week and a half. My second visit was not good. I did a manicure that lasted 2 days. The pictures are from 4 days of having them done. The polish chipping, Air pockets, my cuticles and skin around my nails continue to hurt and peel back terribly. I've never had my skin so this. I won't be back. I am so sad to make this review because I had been going to Angels nails for quite some time. They were like no other nail salon a few years ago. Service was great and the ladies were always attentive. I had a regular nail lady but she moved. I kept trying to come back and try others and try Kim like she recommended. Kim was good. but unfortunately they are getting new nail techs so often now that quality of service has declined. I dont live near by and I would always make the drive because I loved the regular ladies there. I always recommended my family and friends but my last experience was my last straw. I had a new nail tech. She blamed it on me just getting a color change why my toes were missing paint on the sides and un even. She painted my toes with my slippers on and never touched my foot when painting. I tried to give it a chance and said whatever Ill get it changed by someone else next week. I didnt have time. then she was assigned to do my finger nails as well and there was NO WAY! I asked Kim to have someone else do my hands if she was going to do anything close to my horrible color change job on my toes. The tech had a MAJOR attitude and super rude. speaking of me in her native language like clients cant tell by gestures and expression that you are talking bad about a customer. The lady that took over and that I always love chatting with went on to do my nails of course trying to back up her employee but I let her know.... I have been getting my nails done for a long time and at that I have been getting them done here... so no it wasnt that I didnt do the whole pedicure and thats why she did such a horrible job on my toes. After all that I paid and STILL gave the lady that did a horrible job a tip. walked back to her table and said thank you here you go(for her attempt) She was completely rude didn't look up and talked crap in her language under her breathe. I was disgusted with her attitude at this point and upset at myself for being kind and respectful. I called the shop when I left and told Kim what happened. As I was a repeat customer for years. Kim apologized and acknowledged her employees disrespectful behavior. And said she let Don know. And from that conversation on ....
