While I could have booked Nicole for my wedding hair and makeup, she was unfortunately way too expensive for my wedding budget. However, I had two big priorities when it came to wedding planning: I needed an amazing photographer (CHECK!!), and I needed a really amazing makeup artist. Nicole suggested I go with her contractor Lindsey, and not to downplay AT ALL the work that Lindsey does, but she was much more affordable. The contract and payment process was a bit muddy, and I could have used just a bit more responsiveness, but overall, I couldn't be happier with the end product. Lindsey was an absolute joy to work with. During the trial, she really listened to what I wanted (erase that triple chin, girl, and make my eyes big!!!), and was able to create a look that complemented not only my dress, but the entire style of the wedding. When choosing a HMUA, my big goals were to (a) look amazing, and (b) still look like myself. I look at my wedding photos and know that I look like a really great version of my current self. She also made my sister and my mother look absolutely stunning. She was certainly worth the price, and I'd go with her again in a heartbeat. I'm even trying to persuade my mom now to go and get haircuts from Lindsey. She has a knack for making you look elegant, and I'd love to see what she could do with my mom's hair. Anyway, very talented team. I'm so grateful Lindsey was part of my day.

She offered some great suggestions on what I could do with my short hairstyle and which accessories to choose. She was punctual and arrived early to our hotel for our appointment. Rossie asked about my normal skin complexion so it would look its best. She completed my hair and makeup totally within the time we had scheduled. She is very friendly and pleasant to work with. I was very happy with how I looked- makeup was not heavy at all and great color choices for my skin tone and features. Her makeup products are very high quality... I started makeup at 7:30 am. By 9pm, after the entire wedding, nap and dinner, my makeup hadn't even smudged! My skin has a tendency to get dry within a few hours of being under makeup, but even at the end of the day, it still looked very fresh. I wanted a more natural look. My bridal makeup was perfect! It lasted so long and i didn't need to reapply or touch up anything for the entire time - pre ceremony photos, during the ceremony, reception, and post wedding drinks. I've been getting 18in hand-tied boyhme seamless weft extensions from her for a little over a year and I'm in love with them. No one ever knows and they're shocked when they find out I have extensions. My natural hair is past shoulder length, but not nearly as thick as I want it. Tyler is very flexible and if there's ever an issue she's quick to fit me in and fix it. My hair feels amazing and looks amazing and I would 1000000% recommend getting extensions with her if you've been thinking about it. Yes they're expensive, but the hair itself is expensive and when you think about the time put into it, some appointments can take 5-7 hours depending on what you get done, her pricing is really good and her work is worth it 100%.

Daxxify has completely smoothed out my forehead wrinkles and my crow's feet and I feel so much more like myself! Tina patiently explained how everyone works, the expected duration, answered questions, and put me at ease. We are hoping for a 6 month duration, if it lasts that long I think this was well worth the money. I realize that the cost per unit is not bad, but it adds up quickly! Was also told by Christine Levey, that in order to fix the damage to my face that THEY caused " I needed to see a Dermatologist or a Cosmetic Surgeon" What! Are you kidding me? On the day of the trial I thought she would come to me, but that was not the case (oh no!). I was able to make it to her studio in time to still have my appointment which did not feel rushed at all despite me being late. She is knowledgeable about skin health and gave me great tips on making my skin look as healthy as possible for the wedding day. I do not usually wear makeup and loved the finished product. My husband on the other hand looked at me like I was a total stranger! The morning of the ceremony (which was VERY early in the morning) I asked her to lighten up the look so my husband could recognize me. She did a great job adjusting to my request. I also wanted to make a little change to the hairstyle we had tried, which Marina was able to do perfectly. My husband wanted to have a stress free time getting ready, so she did his hair too! I also had Marina wax the winter coat I was wearing on my legs. Let me tell you, my legs had never been that smooth! Usually I like to browse stores on my own but when it comes to makeup, I like assistance to ensure I am picking out products, especially colors, that work with my skin tone. When it comes to makeup, I'm a creature of habit, wearing very little and what I do wear, it's the same colors consistently. I like a no makeup makeup look! So usually when I stop in MAC, I am there to restock my regulars. But sometimes I give in to their offer to give me a makeover or try a different shade of my norms. Such was the case this day. The makeup artist showed me an eyeshadow that had more yellow undertones than pink to use on my eyelid. As subtle as it seems, it really made my eyes pop! I thanked the makeup artist, bought my refills plus this new eyeshadow color, and was happily in my way. Oh, and she signed me up for the rewards program which gave me 10% off my purchase, even better. Even though I live close to other MAC locations, this shop is so easy to stop in when I'm at Bridgeport. Plenty of free parking and I can run other errands while I'm out that way.
