We decided to have our car repaired here because it was listed as "preferred" through our insurance. They took over a month on something that should've taken maybe three weeks TOPS. They said our car was supposed to be done multiple times only to tell us again that it actually isn't and they're waiting on parts. I called to verify my car was completely done because I was on the clock for work, I get there and comes to find out my car isn't completely done as I was told and it still needed to be cleaned out. I waited, and when they brought my car around, water bottles were left in it along with dirt marks on the dash that weren't they're prior to bringing it in. Overall, we won't be doing business here again. The one thing I did appreciate were the ladies at the front desks, because they were very nice and apologetic about the scenario and tried to figure things out for me and speed things up. read more

I was extremely unsatisfied with the communication and service provided with my truck repairs. I've taken my vehicles to this shop numerous times in the past, and their attention to detail, communication, and follow-through on repairs was well below average. I spent an hour going over every detail of repairs needed and scheduled 2 months out to make sure they had it long enough to complete. On drop-off, they had no notes of all the plans made during the estimate. I asked for a call to verify the work being done and never got a call. I called them twice in the next 3 days to verify the work requested was being done and never received a call back. I showed up on day 4 to see what is happening with my truck, and was told the truck was finished and ready to go! It was not finished and I had received no calls. The original estimator tried to blame everyone else in the shop. The manage told me I would get an update within an hour with cost and timeline. I didn't hear anything back for 4 hours and still wasn't all the information they said I would have within an hour. Additionally, I was told they would coordinate with the rental car company. and they did not. The receptionist said she had no idea about it and I needed to call the rental company. read more

I had an estimate done at this place which was fair. When I was dropping off my vehicle my 8 year old daughter had to use the restroom quite urgently. The women working the front desk denied her using the facilities. The said it was because of Covid (which has nothing to do with using a restroom). These women were rude, unprofessional, and very obviously uneducated. This is not a family friendly business and I'm glad I didn't let them near my vehicle. Avoid this place! read more

My truck was rear ended and I was asked to take to Kimball's for an estimate. I had no problem with that as they had done a good job on a car in the past for me. My truck had the receiver hitch in it at he time of accident, so it appeared to take most of the impact, however my bumper cover looked distorted. The young woman adjuster at Kimball's took a 30 second look at my truck out in the parking lot. She stated there was no damage. I was not happy with her assessment so I took to another shop. There they showed me they could get fingers between bumper and body on one side , but not the other, obviously bent. Then they put on rack , took measurements and found hitch compromised. I am very disappointed in the service at Kimball's. I tow often and need to make sure my vehicle is safe. read more

Amazing quick and easy service for 4 wheel alignment on our Tahoe. We called after reading a great review. They were able to fit us in the next morning 10am appointment before we left out of town. Dropped it off early around 9am and they were done by the time we called to check at 11:45am. Repairs took about a month due to the severity of my damages along with the fires that were up and down the west coast (I'm assuming it took way longer to get my parts in). Kimball's been around a long time I would get a second estimate after estimator Jeff Dixon give you estimate he is not honest

The day I left the shop my Check Engine light came on. It was unexpected because I just had a 30k maintenance and everything checked out fine. So I called them and they said they would do a courtesy diagnostic. Turns out the fuel cap being loosened may have been the issue. The strange part is that I had fueled my car before the 30K and then the following morning took it to get the spoiler fixed. There was no issue until after the spoiler. It could be a coincidence but given how annoyed they were to have to make the spoiler right I wonder if they tried to create a problem for me. I hope my gut is wrong that they would do that. Short Version: I don't recommend Kimbals Autobody service. They dismissed my initial concerns of the spoiler being put on wrong & when problems become worse over time they acted like I did something to it. Their work is 100% guaranteed; however, they make you feel like you did something. I drove my car, I opened and closed the trunk. Longer Version I was rear-ended in an auto accident 2 years ago, July 2015. The driver had Geico insurance and they accepted 100% liability. Geico does work out of Kimbals autobody. At the time the work took longer than anticipated, colors didn't match and it was a complete hassle. When I picked up my car I noticed the spoiler was jiggling and told the guy. I wrote it on my pick up sheet. He assured me all spoilers jiggle like that. He was dismissive and since it's not my expertise I trusted it would be fine (also their work is guaranteed & I wrote it on the slip) and felt covered. Fast forward to July 2017, my spoiler was practically falling off (attached by a cord and no bolts). I went to the shop and after conversation at length they said the bolts broke and they would order a new one, paint it and give me a call (they verified my phone number). Weeks pass and they never call so I call to follow up. I'm told Terry (Geico rep In their location) is busy on the phone and will call me back shortly. I hear nothing so I call back the following day and talk to Robin who takes my information and says Terry will call me back. I never hear from Terry, but thankfully Robin calls me back with a few times the following week they can do it. So today I arrive for my appointment at 8am. The shop apparently opens at 8 and this morning a women is waiting outside and they open the doors a few minutes past 8. The women outside gets checked in at the front, she's picking up her car. She waited 20 minutes for them to bring her car for her & the office guys call twice to the guys in the back. I was helped by Dave. He was the guy 2 years ago who dismissed me. At first he can't find my appointment. Then he finds it and has to search out the part. He questions me about the issues with the spoiler yet again. I'm not exactly sure what he's getting at but it's sure he doesn't think it's their fault and they should be doing it. At one point, I tell him if he doesn't want to fix it I can go somewhere else (as nicely as I can but I'm tired of him & the whole situation). He responds they have the part and they will fix it. When it's replaced this time it doesn't wiggle. He goes out with me and continues to question me acting like I tore it off and that the bolts were fine and it couldn't have been an issue. I told him, "Hey I gain nothing by you putting on a spoiler. What motive do I have to question it two years ago and then bring it back to be replaced correctly." I'm asking it to be securely attached like it was before the accident. That's how we left things. I won't use this shop in the future. If they would have just fixed it without accusing me of doing something. I understand questioning maybe once to try to understand what happened, but this was awful even after it was completed. I can only imagine how different the review would be if I was treated with respect and the repair was handled professionally. On a positive note- My brother came to help me with my toddler. They took a walk and a guy from the shop made a balloon from a glove & zip tie. My son loved it. read more

Kimball's is Geico's go-to for car repairs in the Tacoma area. Working next door to Enterprise certainly adds to the convenience. My truck needed fixing and there were some errors in the execution. But, Mark, the manager went above and beyond to rectify the issues. For that, I am grateful. To The Company Who made me Believe: Thank you for your customer service and truly making a stressful time feel so simple. I want to start by saying I am the person who begrudgingly makes my insurance payment each month with the idea in my head, "I'm a good driver. If I control my vehicle and don't get in an accident, why should I have to pay hundreds and eventually thousands in insurance payments." But it's legally required to drive, so I pay it. After this experience I am a believer of making that payment and the service you truly provide. By no fault of my own, my parked car was smashed by a falling tree during a wind storm. The incident had nothing to do with my driving, but would have left me holding the bag with nearly $6,000 in damages and more than two weeks without a car. Luckily my comprehensive Geico coverage saved the day. It took me less than 10 minutes to file my report on my mobile app. I had an appointment first thing in the morning and met with my adjustor Jay who was fantastic. It was so simple to walk in and hand him the keys to my damaged vehicle, grab keys at the same time for my rental car and I was back to my normal routine. Yes, it was inconvenient that my car was in the shop two weeks, but the damage warranted lots of work and the Thanksgiving holiday interrupted progress. During this time I was kept updated by Jay, Thank You! And I was able to retrieve items needed from my car upon request. When my car was ready Jay called to tell me when I could expect it so I was able to plan for pick up. It was again a simple exchange of keys, no hastle, no long wait, and friendly service minded staff at Enterprise (Thank you Whitley). I want to thank your partner Kimball Auto body for the excellent workmanship and returning my car in spotless condition as if it were brand new again. I purchased her brand new in 2011 and I love my car. I'm so happy to have it back, and as bad as this situation could have been, I'm grateful I had the partnership of three upstanding companies to guide me through it. Shotty workmanship. I recently had my vehicle rear ended and took it to Kimball's due to a reference from a friend. I had to have my bumper repainted 3 times due to their incompetent work. The paint was not matching, there were MANY dust nibs in the surface, and the way the handled my car was poor. I also found that they had not re-installed many of the body panel clips on the vehicle. My rear bumper was essentially being held on by a few screws. I am a little more retentive on my vehicle as it is a sports car, but what worries me is how many non enthusiasts they've sent on their way home that were unable to spot the imperfections and poor workmanship. I have a black car so it is much easier to spot out defects in the paint. The vehicle is almost brand new so paint fade is not an issue. After they painted my vehicle for the 3rd time i had an insurance adjuster look at the vehicle and my insurance agreed (their work sucked) and paid me out. The whole ordeal was a hassle. My friend recently had his vehicle worked on by them (even after telling him my experience) and he is now regretting it. He is dealing with the same issues i dealt with. Don't let the shop's appearance fool you. They obviously spent a lot of money for the fancy sign and cleanliness of the shop itself. Unfortunately their work does not match the image of their shop. I recently had my 2008 Corvette in their shop to have some aftermarket parts install, which consisted of rear spoiler, front splitter and side skirts. Previously I owned a 2009 Corvette (which is basically the same exact car), I had the same exact parts installed and it took approximately 2 days and I loved the finished product. This time was a completely different story. The 2 day turn around ended up being a month. They finally finished with my car last Wednesday March 2 , 2022. I go to pick my car up and now the starter is compl shot. I was told by Mark to leave the car and he would have it towed to Titus-Will Chevrolet. I must say Titus-Will did an outstanding job. The next day I noticed the side skirts on both sides was damage. I call Titus-Will thinking the lift had damage my car when the starter was replaced. I called them with my concerns and I immediately went back to have my car looked at. The general manager was awesome and they was willing to cover all damages. Lucky for Titus-Will they inspected my car and took excellent pictures upon its arrival from Kimballs. After reviewing the pictures it was determined KIMBALLS had actually damage my car. My car was damaged upon its arrival at Titus-Will. I was told by Titus-Will service manager that Kimballs did the damage with their flatbed wrecker truck. Therefore I went straight to Kimballs to see what they was going to say. Instead of admitting their mistakes and attempting to rectify the situation Mark come giving me this lame excuse about the manufacture of the product must had made mistakes which is utter bs. They destroyed my brand carbon fiber side skirts and expect me to do and say nothing. I have to say I've lost a lot of respect for Mark. I met him through a very good friend of mine who is now deceased. Someone who often sung Mark praise, but I'm not so certain about that anymore. I would never ever take another vehicle there nor would I recommend this place to anyone. read more

I had my car repaired by them and was very happy with it! Then getting on the freeway my door ajar alarm kept going off! You have to know how extremely annoying this was! I talked to Geico and they said they didn't think it came from the accident!!! Can you imagine the frustration? Very poor service, we have a large fleet of vehicles and on several occasions we have taking our vehicles into there shop for an estimate and have been blown off on receiving the estimate for example; we took a bus in on march 24th. and I called today 27 April to see were the estimate was at and the person on the phone said that they have not even started it yet this to me is saying we do not want your business I will in the future not recommend this shop to any of my fleet users. read more

When faced with someone that had carefully audited their estimate they had not rebuttal. I found that they were charging us to remove a non existing license plate, is one example. Another was that they charged us for a new tire that they would not produce a receipt for. The tire shows signs of being used, not a $171 tire. The ladies answering the phones will not allow you to speak the Mark or say that he is busy. Funny thing is that if you call from there parking lot he is sitting right there. I will post photos of the work that they did. From day one I told Mark that he would need to supply me with EVERY part that they replaced. I stressed this through out the whole ordeal. When we picked up the vehicle Mark stated that the tech was gone. Granted it was after 6pm. Now he won't return my calls. Conduct business with the business entity at your own risk. read more

I supplied my parts installed,went to the "professionals" for Paint. 5 months later came back to paint cracked while we're on vacation! Took it back. The Lady, Dave's replacement Candise I believe is her name, looking at the work order on Wednesday said "we guarantee our paint for life this work order doesn't say no warranty, so I don't see a problem. I'll talk to Mark see about getting it in next week. I'll call tomorrow and let you know". Thursday no call I stop back in on Friday afternoon. "The Professionals" said too bad too sad, because of me suppling the hood, (which would come to them the same as it did to me only $300.00 LESS), no warranty. I guess she lacked the intestinal fortitude to tell me Wednesday! After that fiasco I talked to West Coast Auto body supply and they said Kimball's could have shot a primer on the hood! Dave told me there's some prep work to finish Shame on me to Trust them! seems when Dave retired so did their ethics! They charged for prep work. One would think "the professionals would have the knowledge and experience to prime it!, $1800.00 down the tubes! They only had to paint two fenders, hood, and bumbler cover! read more

Very friendly staff. My mom got her car fixed here after someone hit her car. Although they took a a long time to get the car fixed, the staff is so very friendly and helpful. You can tell that they are going to do everything they can to satisfy their customers. A few days after I picked up my mom's car from this shop, I noticed that the taillights and front light accents on the car weren't on. I was assuming they forgot to plug in some of the car light cables. I called and told them about it. They said come in the same day and they'll take a look at it and resolve it. That they did! One of the front desk workers came to inspect and assured me that they were going to fix it. About an hour later, they told me they had fixed it and they forgot to plug the light cables in. Got it fixed, the same day! They were very apologetic about the whole situation and the gentleman that was helping me was very, very respectful. He demonstrated phenomenal customer service. read more
