I was referred to Carstar by USAA after road-debris damage. Initially, everything seemed fine. Then, a rental was provided, and they assessed the car. But later, when USAA declared it a total loss and I chose to retain my vehicle, I arrived to find my car already partially disassembled without my authorization. Front and rear bumpers removed, side skirts off, lights hanging. I was told this was 'standard procedure', which I had never approved. After reaching out to USAA, the claim was that CarStar should never have removed anything. CarStar refused to reassemble until it was authorized by USAA to do so, because they wanted to get paid for their mistake; the car was put back together, but not properly. My side skirt doesn't sit flush, and the fog light no longer works. Given my background in inspection and repair, I was very disappointed with the workmanship and the lack of accountability. When I asked if they could correct these issues, especially given my upcoming deployment, they were unwilling. I understand insurance claims can be complex, but customers deserve clear communication, proper authorization, and quality work. I would never recommend using this place. Overpriced! read more

I DO NOT recommend taking your vehicle this location, even if it's a preferred shop with your insurance company. My truck was wrecked in the front. I got my personal belongings out of it before dropping it off. Insurance eventually totaled it out, but I purchased it back from the insurance company. When I went to pick up my truck, I noticed my front floor mats were missing, the trim piece on my tail gate was taken off (mind you there was no damage to the rear of the truck) and now my tail gate does not open when it worked perfectly fine before I dropped it off. I brought up the theft and damage to their attention while I was there with a tow truck to pick up my truck. They said they would look around for the missing items. After a few days, I reached back out for an update and their response was that "they can't find it and are not responsible for any of that stuff" and that I'm pretty much out of luck. They will not do anything about the theft or damage that occurred while property is on their possession. You take a vehicle to get fixed, and when it doesn't need to get fixed, they end up stealing from customers. Beware of this shady, unprofessional business that doesn't take the minimally necessary safeguards with your property. read more

I ran over some paint on the freeway in my Porsche 911 and it was really messed up when I brought it into Carstar. The manager Genero is really cool. He got me in right away even though they were busy and beginning a remodeling project soon. Carstar got the paint removed at a fantastic price and I was happy to see my 911 looking better than ever. read more

I called to see the status of my vehicle and a guy had a rude attitude answering the phone and was not able to help out and then kept on putting me on hold. Then transferred me to Tami who also had a rude attitude as well for no reason. This is not a way to treat your customer when you start off talking. This is literally the worst place to take your vehicle for collision repair!! They take forever, don't answer the phone much when you call, or call you back, keep your car for very long extended periods of time, and worst of all after 3 visits still don't fix the issue with the car completely. Highly recommend you go elsewhere or you will likely regret the decision not to. In the end really don't care about the customer or quality. read more

If I could give no stars I would. They've had my car 8 months of the 14 months I've owned it. They do not communicate with me and they do not answer the phone. So when I do come in, to get an explanation, they just tell me the part is on order or the part they thought would fix the problem, isn't the problem and have to order a different part. Late Dec 2023 we took our car per our insurance co to get an estimate of repairs, we were slated to come in on Jan 3,24 but cancelled by leaving a message because after numerous calls no one answered, we decided that we wanted to get estimates from other repair shops. We received a email from Carstar thanking us for letting them do our repairs. We did not get them done, we called our Insurance Co. and found out they had cashed the check for over 5K. They cashed it and hadn't done the work. The insurance Co informed them and was waiting for the refund. I called last week Feb 5 and was told by the receptionist she would give it to her Mgr Gene and have him work on the refund, later that day a gentleman called and told me he was waiting on accounting to get back with me and he would call back. Its been a week and nothing. I got a review response and was told the will make this right, etc etc and to call. I called, a very rude, and dismissive man answered, told me they are a large company and they have to wait for accounting. I worked for a large company and it does not take accounting over a week, they couldn't even give an estimate. It didn't take accounting long to cash the money and if we weren't told by the insurance company, I don't know when or if they were going to refund the money, After 6 weeks they knew the work wasn't done but yet did not reach out to us or our insurance company to rectify the situation. I will be looking into other avenues, and I will be making sure my insurance company does no longer recommend this Carstar to other potential customers. They clearly don't care that they took money that they clearly did not earn. read more

My car was involved in an accident in November and I called around to all the shops near me in Seattle and no one could take my car for at least a month. CarStar accepted a tow-in to the shop the day my insurance agent called them. Jason was extremely helpful the entire time my car was there (about 2 months since i had 2 claims). He made sure my car was finished the day my rental expired. My car looks great. would 100% recommend them! read more

If i was to give a zero star on this body shop i would gladly do, had an accident on June 26th 2022 and the vehicle was dropped at CARSTAR and i wish i had taken my vehicle to a different body shop, but since state farm recommended them i was ok, little did i know i was going to deal with the rudest people from the receptionist who is a lady to the estimate guy{Damien} who is super rude , unprofessional and the biggest liar i have dealt with. its been over 3mnths today 10/04/2022 and my vehicle is still sitting in their shop and every month he keeps on doing supplemental estimates which have added up to almost 30k, talk of Genaro who is the supervisor and still a liar, they don't communicate and when you show up to check on the updates its the same story in 2weeks the vehicle will be done , the worst thing is the information they give to the insurance is different from what they tell the customer, At one point Damien was so rude to me via phone call when i called to check on the status and he clearly told me' HE DIDN'T HIT ME SO I SHOULD WAIT UNTILL THEY ARE DONE' very rude after that incident he called to apologize and offered to pay my deductable{8/19/2022 @7.01pm} he also kept saying that he had told the insurance company to total the vehicle but they said no, {mind you he is the one doing the estimate}i clearly don't know who to trust but please don't use their services , Genaro clearly told me that they know Damien is rude but they have no option for now but to keep him, this is a company that clearly know what they are doing is wrong but will not correct their mistakes, i wish state Farm would hire their own people from outside to do the estimates rather than using the body shop estimators, my insurance agent even stated that he had another customer who used carstar and had the same experience over 6mths wait and being lied too,. and they had to get into it so they could get it done. I took my car here for some minor body work, a broken side mirror & tail light. The reason I chose them was they are friendly, close to home, & my quote was $140 cheaper than nearby Lakes Autobody. Overall the work was done well, even though I had to wait 3 hours for a job that was supposed to take 1.5-2 hours & had to call them to see if it was done. Also they have a text update system set up that is supposed to update you on the progress of your repairs. Would be good if it actually worked; I received notifications saying "your repairs are almost complete" the day after I already picked up my car. Overall, it was a positive experience. No headaches other than the slight delay. read more

I couldn't be happier with the work I had done on my vehicle at this location. Unfortunately, I had two accidents, neither was my fault, in a 60 day period. After having several negative experiences at the Hi-tech CARSTAR location, I was more than a little nervous about having my vehicle worked on at a location that shared the name. I couldn't of been more wrong. The staff is amazing. I received daily notifications about the progress on my vehicle. Above all, Steve, the representative that helped me was above and beyond, one of the best customer service rep's I have ever dealt with in any business. I wish I could give zero stars. Teresa is very unprofessional, laughs when she should be listening and working with the customer who SHE called. There seemed to be no record of an appointment that was made, she said: "maybe they talked to Steven" but then I had to ask her to check with Steven. She seemed to be completely clueless of how to be professional and check a calendar. When I called her back to tell her that it was Steven who had taken the appointment (had to verify with my daughter as she was the one who called to make the appointment), she still seemed to be very confused how someone could call and there be no record of it. Clearly, record keeping is an issue at this location. When I told her she was unprofessional, she said: "you're not professional." I had a terrible experience with these guys. My truck was in their shop for a month and I kept having to call them for updates to the status. The welded a cracked rim and didn't get the lift strait. I took it back and the insurance bought me a new set of rims, but they never got the front end strait so my truck was throwing CV-Joints until the insurance let me take it to another shop that fixed it right the first time. They lost one of my key FOBs and I had to go to the dealership and get it replaced myself. Both times my truck was in their shop it took at least a month for them to "finish" it. I would definitely never ever take my vehicle here again, and would recommend to those who want their vehicles fixed the first time to avoid this place as well. read more

Took the 7 weeks to repair my truck. At one point they called and stated that my truck needed to go to dealership for diagnostics. They was not sure if the insurance would cover the cost. I paid $1000.00 to dealership with the understanding that if the insurance did cover it I would be reimbursed. The insurance company did cover the cost and sent a check to Parkland Collision. When I finally received my truck I was assured that they would reimburse for cost at the dealership. That was 8-10-16, since then I have called once a month with no results. Finally contacted the insurance company and they pursue the matter as insurance fraud. read more

My truck was towed to parkland Collision after a roll over accident in May. I was assuming that since they partner with Giecko that my vehicle would be in good hands, until the insurance auditor could take a look at the damage. Unfortunately, before I even had a chance to decide if I wanted to relinquish my vehicle as a total loss, they had already taken the moon roof off of it. After that I noticed that the tire valve caps had been taken off as well. I decided to keep it, for sentimental value, and when they towed it back they didn't include the keys! The Geicko rep seemed put out by all of this, which I though unfortunate because she suggested towing it to Parkland in the first place. I am disappointed by P.C lack of professionalism in taking care of other's property (regardless of condition) and in Geicko for entrusting their customer's to them. I am curious about what else may have been taken off of the truck without permission, besides the moon roof, and would be skeptical if I were thinking of entrusting any of my belongings to them. read more

Decided to stay local after a motor vehicle accident damaged my truck. Insurance company offered a variety of options for collision centers, though I was impressed with Carstar Parkland when I took it in for a review of the damage. They worked quickly with my insurance company, and had the repairs done quickly and as promised. I had a tonneau cover that was new, and was slightly damaged while in the shop. Parkland Carstar went above and beyond and replaced the cover with a new one from the same dealer from which I purchased it originally. Today, people often blame everyone but themselves when something goes wrong. Carstar Parkland not only earned my business, buy my respect as well. Our experience was absolutely awful. Had the vehicle way too long for this kind of repair. Returned the vehicle to us w/out critical fluids in it (some are pretty important) eventually resulting in an all out "total" on the vehicle. Our car was paid off entirely and only had VERY low miles on the odometer. Eventually we had to involve third parties to oversee the outcome of the situation. Obviously PCC was trying to withdrawal their responsibility and very nearly became a total loss on OUR part. In the end we were awarded the Totaled amount for the vehicle which was only a fraction of what we had paid, made us very ill. After everything was finished, for obvious reasons, we had bad blood between us and PCC. However, we never once received a phone call extending an apology for improper management of our property(car) while in their possession. What's more is once we started having issues arise we googled and there are some like reviews here. Kinda sketchy, IMO. read more
