I wasn't sure how big the wings would be so I ordered a medium and was pleasantly surprised with the size(I'll get a small next time). Was looking for some Korean food in the area and was excited to find this new place to try for takeout. We ordered a wide range of food to give it all a try. I got the half and half popcorn chicken box - this chicken is fried with a yummy crispy exterior and I could have eat a ton of them. The soy garlic is sweet and a nice amount of flavor and the Korean spicy is sweet but with a good hot oil kick. The sides to the box were fine. My husband got the bulgogi, BBQ chicken and spicy pork tacos. The spicy pork was his favorite due to actually getting the most flavor out of it. The other two he had trouble actually tasting the meat so they weren't anything special. We also tried the Seoul Dumplings, which were pretty good. Due to it being takeout, they were a little cold by the time I got to eat them but were still good for dumplings. However, my 9 month old couldn't get enough of them. Lol Finally we tried the Korean corn dogs and these were super weird but in a good way! They were a cross between a corn dog, a mozzarella stick and a donut. You get meaty cheese, crunchy exterior and then a hot dog to finish it off. It was a fun twist that I would definitely recommend. My one concern for them at the moment was their pickup process for takeout. When I put in the order they set me up with text alerts but then I never received anything when my food was ready. When I showed up for my pickup time, my food had obviously been sitting there and then I had to wait for other people to order before I could pick it up. Because it had been sitting it was a bit cold by the time I got home. I know it's a new place so they are still working out the kinks but I'm hoping they can get better with the pickup process. read more

Walked in on a Friday evening to order for carry out and it was PACKED! Highly recommend calling to order ahead of time however the hostess told me it would be about 20mins for my order to be ready and it was ready in exactly 20mins! The 2 stars was not because of the food, but because of the being charged for upgrades and not getting them. I paid for fried egg, fried rice, kimchi and extra sauces which I did not get. As far as the food it was just ok. The bulgogi beef was very chewy and the katsu chicken was tough and dry. The glass noodles seemed old and chewy also. read more

My wife and family wanted Korean so we set out to try Kimchi box. I was a little skeptical because I've been to a few Korean places and they are mostly hotpot or bbq. This place was a little different. How different? A lot. After looking at the quick menu, it was obviously this place was was a simple menu. Quick In and Out. I had the fried chicken wings in both flavors: sassy and garlic. Mmm. Those were good! Don't miss out on some good wings. About the same size as BDubs. Each has their own weakness. I had the veggie fried dumplings, the red bean buns, and the cheese corn dogs. I liked everything I had! Buns were super soft and fluffy with the perfect level of sweetness in the red bean. Veggie dumplings were crisp. I would recommend you ask the cheese corn dogs be dropped fresh and eat them immediately if you want a cheese pull. read more

When it first opened I ordered a pick up and they gave me a time to pick it up however when I got there I still had to wait 45 minutes to get my food. Korean is always a good alternative choice for lunch. Prices were rather high however since COVID most everything is overpriced. Note this is cafeteria style dining. You basically order at the register and staff brings the finished product to your table. While waiting you fill your own drink, get own utensils, napkins, condiments, and when finished, you empty the various bowls and trays in selected containers. Basically, you do most of the work and they still ask for tips. White meat lovers please note the popcorn chicken consisted of all dark meat, cut small in size, with an overwhelming heavy breading. The Korean Sassy sauce was perfect. I didn't care for the honey butter sauce, too dry. Total bummer, they were out of the Korean corn dogs on the day we ate there. The cold bibinbop was the star of the show. The hot bibinbop a close second due to the smaller portion size (but higher price). Kimchi-fries were an ooey-gooey delight. The vegetable steam buns were uninspired mush. Each bite of the Korean chicken sandwich caused various toppings to squirt and fall everywhere. Bring a bib to eat this one, it's a hot mess. It's unusual that I give such a low rating, but this was exceptional. Had an interesting experience today at this restaurant... first of all, I'm grateful they were open because I know many restaurants were closed due to the Holidays. However, when we arrived at 11:30AM (just after they opened), it was nearly freezing inside the restaurant. Normally, I'd just walk out but I had pre-arranged with my family (13 people!) to meet at the restaurant to celebrate my birthday. So we literally toughed it out wearing our winter jackets, hats, and (where available) gloves The menu looked phenomenal online, I was especially excited for the hot stone bibimbop, but at the restaurant, that option was literally taken off the menu By the time we were two minutes from finishing, they discovered how to turn on the rest of the restaurant lights and "maybe" turn in the heat -- it was sooooo cold inside that place, it was difficult to enjoy the food that turned chilly shortly after it was served. According to the hubby, he had to use the flashlight on his phone in the restroom because those lights weren't on either. Would I go back, give it another try? No. One and done; we couldn't get out of there fast enough and I wasn't impressed with the quality of the food. The BBQ tofu was horrible; deep fried and no BBQ on it at all. As a first introduction to Korean food for some of my family, I was embarrassed. The good news is the next time when (if) they try Korean food, it can't be worse. Also, I did ask the young woman behind the register who was also freezing wearing a short-sleeved shirt if the light and heat were out or, if the dining area was closed, she gave a very vanilla answer, that didn't answer my questions.... Kimchi Box has been on my "to try" list since they opened, but we haven't been able to make it out there. We finally did, it's in the old Pei Wei space (and still have the takeout sign up). Otherwise, not much has changed other than the menu. It's not a huge menu, but there is a variety to choose from. We opted for the BBQ boxes (popcorn chicken and bulgoggi). It took a while to get to us, but the presentation was nice. The salad was very nice with ginger dressing, and the purple rice was good. The chicken was good, although it seemed like it was done before my beef and not as hot. The spicy sauce was good, as was the garlic. They're a little chewy, but nothing unusual and probably due to the double frying. The bulgoggi was very hot, quite tender. Overall, we enjoyed our meal. read more

I have to say, I've been having really good luck trying these new places lately. My friend recommended this place and since I'm a huge fan of Korean fried chicken, I had to try it out. I will preface, I am no connoisseur but I have had my fair share of Korean fried chicken. My husband and I ordered a full serving of fried chicken split between original and spicy with some kimchi fries. The order was big so we saved about half of It. The spicy does have a kick with a slightly thicker coating. The original, which is my favorite has a thinner coating that's a little sweet and garlicky. It was so delicious!! They were both good that I would still order the split but the original was definitely my favorite. The kimchi fries were delicious and had little bits of hot dog mixed in. This place is by far the best Korean chicken around here . I am eager to try some of their other dishes. read more

Finally! Delicious Korean food on the East side!!! We tried an assortment of items and everything was 'good to great'. I can't wait to go back & try the rest of the items! I used their website to order online & chose to pick up my food hours later. The system was a tiny bit buggy in terms of navigating but good overall. The text updates sort of worked but most importantly my food was hot & ready at 4pm as expected. Popcorn chicken box (half/half sauce): Full of flavor and very crunchy (despite sitting in a takeout box for a bit). Delicious and very easy to eat! The gochujang based "Korean Sassy" sauce was spicy but not too spicy (and I'm not a big fan of spicy food). The Soy Garlic sauce was sweet (but not too sweet), savory & delicious! It came with white rice, a small salad with tasty (ginger?) dressing & a small serving of Japchae. Chicken wings (half/half sauce): The only option I saw when ordering online turned out to be bone-in (I now realize that the "Thighs" were the boneless wings I was looking for). My husband preferred these over the popcorn chicken due to them having a heartier meat to breading ratio. I preferred the popcorn variety so I didn't have to worry about veins/gristle/bones/etc. Seoul dumplings: Nice to have a steamed dumpling option. They were good but especially tasty with the dipping sauce. Japchae: Nice, large portion for just $8. Pretty flavorful and plenty of onions, carrots & some mushrooms, with a few bits of kale. Kimchi fries: My husbands favorite items. I thought they were pretty good, could've used a little more kimchi but the sauce was good. Decent amount of cheese, green onions were nice, couldn't really taste the little hotdog/sausage pieces but I liked they were there. Bulgogi taco: Good but not great. Could have used a bit more flavor. We got a small container of brown sauce but weren't sure what it was supposed to go with ... I think it was the Soy Garlic sauce but not sure. Minor cons: We received plain white rice instead of purple rice I've seen in other people's pictures I'm sad we didn't receive the pickled radish cubes that was supposed to come with the chicken :( Overall a delicious and wonderful experience and I highly recommend it! Normally when the business expands and it's a good thing, however, in this case it is not. The quality has gone down as new locations are opened up I got the Seoul Dandu and they tasted as horrible as they smelled. It tastes like the ingredients used are getting pretty cheap. The picture doesn't do it justice. The bowls they were bringing out for in person dining looked amazing. The food was fresh. It was my first experience with Korean BBQ and I didn't really know what to expect. I got the bimpimbap bowl and it was good. The veggies were very fresh. I was expecting more noodles and was disappointed that there was such a small amount since that was the best part. The sauce that came with it was too spicy for me. I'm not sure if they have other sauces or not as it was my first time and I wasn't really sure what I was ordering. But without the sauce it was bland, just fresh raw veggies and no spices or herbs. Overall it was good but I would want to see if they had other sauces or get just a bowl of the noodles. read more
