My sixth sense was correct! From the large cookies, diverse selection, to the very warm and welcoming lady that helped us....this bakery was worth the detour home. My son picked the M&M double chocolate chip cookie. It has the most loaded M&Ms in a cookie I've ever seen. The texture was crunchy around the edges with a soft semi chewy center that also resembled the consistency between a brownie and a cookie. I picked the toffee chocolate chip and the lemon sugar cookie. The toffee CCC had a crunchy exterior (probably from the melted toffee) which elevated the usual chocolate chip cookie. The lemon sugar cookie was soft in texture which I liked. I wouldn't have minded a little more lemon taste but it was still good. If this bakery were near where I live, I'd go every week!

Don't let that happen, try Kathy's cookies or biscotti, scones or muffins and see for yourself. She expanded her reach over the past few years and more supermarkets are carrying her products. The bakery in Milford is cute and packed with fresh baked goods. The staff is always smiling and helpful. Stop by and see for yourself.

Oak Beach Bar + Grill is a restaurant and bar that opened in West Haven, Connecticut in December…read more2022. It was founded by business partners Gino Fetta, his son Luigi Fetta, along with cousin and chef Al Dinofrio and friend Mark Lynch. Both Gino and Luigi have 60+ years of combined experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry. They had initially been looking for a space to open a new restaurant in Milford, but then they learned of the availability of a space along the shoreline in West Haven. The space had hosted a number of restaurants over the years, including Savin Rock Roasting Company. Gino is a lifelong butcher and had previously operated as the "meat man" behind the aforementioned restaurant. Luigi has a wealth of knowledge of mixology and a strong passion for food. The father and son completely gutted the space, gave it a nautical theme, and named their eatery after the nearby Oak Street Beach. The menu (which is always changing) features a variety of Italian-influenced entrees, seafood, tacos, sandwiches, flatbreads, salads, and various tavern appetizers. I recently visited Oak Beach Bar + Grill while I was meeting up with some work colleagues for an after-work happy hour. We were all seated in the dining room area. I really like the nautical theme and the fact that the location is a short walking distance from the local beaches and the Savin Rock boardwalk. I first started off with a plate of "Stuffed Clams" (bacon, mozzarella, bread stuffing). The staff weren't kidding when they said "stuffed". The stuffing was seasoned well and the clams were very flavorful. I follow them up with the "Fish Tacos" (oven baked Atlantic cod, pico de Gallo, shredded lettuce, avocado crema). The fish was cooked well, but the icing on the cake was the pico and the crema. I washed my delicious food down with cans of Athletic Brewing's "Run Wild" (IPA) and "Upside Dawn" (Golden Lager). If you find yourself by the West Haven shoreline and are craving a delicious lunch or dinner then head to Oak Beach Bar + Grill!

The bar and restaurant was buzzing with laughter and excitement because it was Derby Day ! We were seated at Table 31 with Louis C as our server for the evening. I enjoyed a Stella Artois and ordered the 14oz NY Strip with Asparagus and Fries ($32.00) It was delicious, cooked to my personal preference (Medium Well) My family members loved their meal selections, too and we were all happy with everything.
