We have utilized the services of this local dry cleaner for years, actually since they first opened up. After so many years of great service I think it is about time we made mention of of experience with them. Firstly, they will always go "the extra mile" if you need something cleaned and returned right away. They just don't know the meaning of the word "No". The service we have received from them over the years has been beyond reproach. Combine that with the friendly attitude of the owners and their son and you have a winning combination. They even insist on carrying your cleaning out to your car for you! How's that for service? Lastly, their prices. They are very competitively priced and do a great job on everthing you bring them. They also provide a repair service and also alterations. W kind of feel like they are almost family to us and we certainly home they continue to be successful and are there for us for many years to come. Our advice is to try them just once and you will see exactly what we mean. It is an "old-fashioned" business with good "old fashioned" values where the customer still comes first! We had to change cleaners as the one we had been using went out of business so My husband took some of his clothes and 3 sweaters of mine to Kim's. They were ready on time and I was happy to find my sweaters looked brand new without all the little "pills" that made them look old. I was in your store yesterday waiting and noticed a woman come in and politely say "Hello" and try to get the attendants attention to ask a question for her dress. The shop attendant/possible owner completely ignored her not once, not twice, but 3 times. I then saw the hopeful customer walk out defeated after being completely looked through. This situation upset me enough that I walked out as well and do not plan to do business with a company that ignores and excuses customers. This is a Korean family-owned cleaner. They do good job but they are rude to customers. On Sept 18, 2020, I was picking up my 3 garments. I had a question about the "puffed" shape of my jacket. I asked the mother to talk to her son show coz I knew he had good English. In her broken English, she told me he'd be later on. I returned few hours later. I was smiling to the young man; I said they did a god job but I did not understand why my slim jacket turned to be puffy. He commented that his mother understood what you said. Well, I said, but she spoke limited English and said few incoherent words. Young man got angry and started yelling at me that that was rude to say that his mother had limited English. Well, in this country, people have zero English, ESL level 1-5, fluent, and native speaker. If a person has a limited English, I cannot say, "Oh, thank you, I understood you". I wanted to get an answer from a man who spoke English well. BTW, the man gave me vague answers about the shape of my jacket in good English. Another thing about this cleaner. This woman charges too much for an alteration! One time I wanted to mend the skirt's hem, and she asked $15! For this price, one can buy a new garment. I went to another cleaner, ¼ miles on the same street, and they charged me $7 for the alteration. read more

Really love this family run business. The Kim's are such friendly, polite, and professional people. I am usually greeted by the son or Mama Kim at the counter always with a greeting and a smile. Occasionally I have been helped by Papa Kim and he is really friendly too. I have had some clothes dry cleaned and everything is crisp and presteenly pressed. I must confess that it is in the way of Mama Kim's wonderful seamstress skills is why I go there the most. She is supreme at making alterations and hemming. I love the work she does and is the reason I will continue to go there. The turn around time is great, the prices are reasonable, and you can see the care and effort that goes into her sewing. I've used this Dry Cleaner for about a year now and I think they do a great job. I have never lost a single piece of clothing. They are always very helpful when I come in. They do a great job cleaning my dress shirts and slacks. They will call you to let you know if something is wrong with one of your shirts ahead of time so it isn't a surprise when you make your pick up. They give you these hooks that help you carry large loads. They have even insisted on helping me out to my car when I have really big loads of dry cleaning to pick up which they didn't have to do but was nice anyways. I have been getting all my clothes dry-cleaned at Kim's for more than 5 years now, and I don't trust any other spot in North County. I recently moved to New Orleans, but I still bring my dry cleaning with me from NOLA whenever I come to visit my family in SD. That's right, folks. I haul my clothes all the way from Louisiana to get them dry-cleaned here (they're that good!). The husband and wife duo (and often son, Sean) are hard-working and friendly. They even carry large loads to your car. Wool coats, dresses, silk tops, slacks, cashmere scarves -- you name it, they make each piece look like it's brand new. NOTE for Men: They are really good at getting those gross yellowing sweat stains off of the collars of your button-up shirts. An added bonus: they have an in-house seamstress who's done all my alterations. I've gotten my jeans hemmed (keeping the original hem), and I've completely satisfied with the results. I dropped my brand new dress off at the cleaners. I wanted to be pressed. It was wrinkled from Shipping. Sean said there's a dollar difference in dry cleaning and pressing and it stinks! Well Dry Cleaning does not smell good! I said it smells like Chemicals because it is brand new out the box! So I said OK dry clean it! I picked up this dress and a blouse! Hung it on my room door. Sunday morning I pull it out of the plastic to wear to Church! There is a big stain in the front! I wake up early Monday to take it back to Kim's Mission Cleaners! He said, You didn't wear it? Duh! No I have not worn my brand new dress. He said we can clean it again but we didn't put any chemicals on it! Last I checked Dry cleaning requires chemicals! There is no Organic sign outside!!! So I leave it Monday morning at 7:00! He says it will be ready Thursday!!!! OK! So I go after work to pick it up! I said did it come out? Sean says What? I said did the stain come out? He said let's check! The dress is ruined! The material looks like it was worn 100 times +++!!! I said the dress did not look like this after you cleaned it the first time! The material is discolored and the material is matted! Sean said to see if the Company would take it back! Really I paid you to clean it, had to come back the second time for nothing, now I need to return it to sender per Sean! So I said, You are satisfied with this? I am out $8.98 for the cleaning + the cost of a dress and shipping! He said have them send you a new dress and I will clean it for free! I had seen this business for a long time, as I use some of the surrounding businesses. I have a Tommy Bahama "saddle back" shirt that is all silk with a large decorative overlay on the back. I was concerned that this "saddle back" material wouldn't be "squashed" and Aaron assured me that it wouldn't. Anyway, to cut to the chase, I picked up my shirt yesterday and I couldn't be happier with the way my shirt, now all clean and "new looking", was done to perfection. Besides all of that, Aaron couldn't be friendlier. Now the only complaint I have is for not availing myself of their excellent, friendly service sooner. The family run dry cleaning business (Mission Cleaners) has been our "go to" cleaners ever since we moved to Oceanside over 10 years ago. The service is excellent and they have often provided dry cleaning results that are far superior to other vendors. Kim's Mission Cleaners is the BEST! I've been a customer for 15 years and would never think to go elsewhere BECAUSE they customize their cleaning exactly to your needs. Whether it be a question of how best to clean a garment or offering special spotting to a variety of stains ( ink, food, grease) they do it all. Mrs. Kim also repairs all kinds of damages and problems I have as I don't so or fix zippers... They aren't cheap but reasonable and if you care for your clothes ( long term) their a jewel. WOW..... went in with a new sport coat and asked to just have and inch rolled under and stitched on the sleeves with no button moving or anything,,,,, they had the NERVE to charge 35 dollars after not even doing what I asked....The Lady was nice who first helped me and I thought she understood, just a simple roll under, stitch and hem....but she moved the buttons and other things I didn't want done, and when I went in to ask why I was charged so much,(she does Not speak English well) the son (I am assuming) said all the suit sleeve shortenings were 35.......??? Ive had MANY suits brought up on the sleeve just a little with a hem and NEVER paid over 20....I called 4 other cleaners in the area to confirm my suspicion that I was ripped off, and they all said it is under 20 for a Simple roll and stitch.When I asked the son where does it say it cost 35, he said "did you ask?" No I didn't because its usually a Very simple roll under and stitch process and NEVER 35 dollars.....and the suit looked sloppy like they didn't even steam it afterward, and it is New........the price to hem the pants was 8 dollars,which is reasonable......Dont like to be taken advantage of, and talked to condescendingly which made me angry........Im not saying to not go there, but know that there is a language barrier and you have to be sure your understood.......Not pleased with the coat, or the sloppiness of the seemingly un-steamed or pressed material...SLOPPY JOB. read more

I have used their services for about a year now. I thought that they were ok. Not great but not bad. I had a car seat cover button holed here, the woman there had no idea what button holing was. After myself and another customer had to explain it, she said she understood what I wanted done. 6 holes later and a 30 dollar charge I had something my 4 year old could of done. Lesson learned was not to take anything I needed sewn here, leave them to just do the cleaning. On October 15th, I bought a new comforter, Oct 28th I drop the comforter off to be cleaned. Pick up was to be Nov 1st. I get a late on Oct 30th from the son of the lady who works at the front desk and I believe the owners of the cleaners, informing me that my comforter had been stolen and they felt terrible and would replace the item. I told them where I bought the comforter, the on-line price, the brand, and style. I went back to the store and priced the item and let them know the cost. It is now Dec 14th and I still DO NOT have a comforter. I have called, text, and even stopped by the store. I was told that things were hectic and they have been busy and they would get back to me as soon as they had a chance. Well after calling today... I am being told Friday they SHOULD have a solution. Really???? It's been OVER 30 DAYS..... Bed, Bath, and Beyond is a 30 min drive away, a $249.99 replacement minus taxes.... and a phone call to me letting me know it is ready to be picked up..... UPDATE: After posting this review my comforter was ready to be picked up. They replaced it with the same exact one. THANK YOU! I appreciate that! I have zero complaints to replacing my stolen comforter. I am still not impressed that it took over 30 days to do. read more

I have been dropping off my clothes at Kim's to be cleaned and pressed since moving from Texas 5 1/2 years ago. This is a friendly and dependable business. I had a great cleaners in Texas, so my expectations were high. Kim's has surpassed those expectations. At times, I need clothes back by the end of the day or the next morning and as promised, they have the clothes ready, so I can pick them up on the way to the airport or as I am leaving town. I have only had positive experiences with both Sean and his mother Kim. I cycle out anywhere from 5-10 non iron shirts and multiple slacks dry cleaned on a weekly basis and they always come out clean & crisp!
