Turned a white boss button down from white to pink and it was nothing but arguing that they didn't do it. Lost my business.

I brought my suit here to be cleaned, and unfortunately the experience wasn't good. When I picked it up, the same stain was still there, and I was told I'd have to pay again to have it re-cleaned. On top of that, I noticed a safety-pin hole in the fabric for another suit i brought in which was an expensive suit, so that was disappointing. I'm sharing this so others are aware and can check their items carefully. I was hoping for a better resolution but didn't receive one read more

Worst dry cleaner ever. "Cleaned" a bench cushion for me and didn't get a single stain out but charged me $35. When I picked up the item I asked if he got all the stains and he said yes. I go home and unwrap the plastic and every single stain is still there. When I came back and asked for at least a partial refund he refused and started raising his voice. Awful customer service, nasty attitude, and ineffective cleaning. With so many dry cleaners around, this one should be avoided. If I could give zero stars I would. UPDATE: I took the same cushion to the cleaners across the street - CARLSBAD PLAZA CLEANERS - and they got ALL the stains out!!! read more

I found this place on yelp and fortunately it was close to my house. As I checked in on Yelp while picking up my dry cleaning, a coupon on Yelp was offered for 20% off my order, Sweet! Unfortunately, the owner didn't see it that way and refused to accept my Yelp coupon. He told me they did not take them anymore and it was not supposed to be on Yelp. Natuarally I thought I myself well that's a YOU problem not a ME problem. Needless to say they will not be getting my business any longer since they won't honor what they are advertising. All of this could've been avoided by honoring the 20% off my $20 dry cleaning, a $2 discount. It's about the principle, How will they react if they ruin an article of your clothing? If I could give zero stars I would. I brought in a jacket to replace the zipper. They told me they would try to match it exactly, but if not that they would find the closest to it, which I agreed to. A week later, I return back to pick it up and the guy tells me that they didn't replace it because they couldn't find anything exact but something close to it. I asked why they couldn't call me to tell me? His response (obviously lying) "oh yeah I was going to call you today"... I wish I could give this place negative stars. My long time dry cleaners unfortunately closed due to the pandemic. I decided to give this place a try since it is on my way to and from work. I dropped off two blazers. One came back fine, the other, a brand new $130 blazer, had the inside lining completely scrunched up. As it would buckle when trying to wear it, I brought it back and explained the issue. The man at the front, didn't get his name, proceeded to tell me that he didn't see an issue. I told him giving me the blazer like this was unacceptable so he begrudgingly said he would take it back and try to flatten it out. I came back to pick it up and half of the lining is still scrunched up. He said it's not his fault and refused to try to fix this issue. He said "go call the BBB" if you're that upset" and claimed that he had never received a complaint before me. Even worse as I'm leaving and explaining that I'll be filing a complaint he yells out "checkmate". Horrible human, worst service I have ever received in my life. Take your business elsewhere, like Ponto cleaners or Village Cleaners in Carlsbad. He also charges $9.50 to dry clean a blazer when they both charge between $7-$7.50. read more

I have been here a few times out now. Every time I get my clothes back cleaned, pressed and with no complaints. While they are a little on the higher side that some other places I have gone too, I would rather bring my clothes here and know I am going to get a job well done every time out. are you kidding me? Brought my wifes ball gown to this place because it was open at 7 and it was 6:20 so we were rushing. When we got there, i told my wife to quickly get off while i parked my car thats how much in a hurry we were. So we walk and and my wife is explaining what she needed to get done. Turns out that what she needed was too hard for his dad!! all she wanted was to sew the front a little bit because it was showing too much cleavage and he said it was too much for them!!! so my wife took it home and did it herself and shes barely knows how to thread the needle much less sew and shes blind as a bat. i do not recommend this place to anyone especially if you think you dress needs "major alterations" because this guys dad wont be able to do it. read more

WARNING! THEY WILL DESTROY YOUR CLOTHES! We took my wife's wedding dress, a jeweled dress, and my silk pants there and they were all visibly damaged. First off the wedding dress was burnt and the smooth chiffon is now crackled all over like it was wadded up then steamed. The jewels on the second dress were hazed over and dull, she will have to have them all replaced. My silk pants were slightly shrunk but came back much lighter in color, in this case they still look ok but I am still upset there is so much difference from when I dropped them off. Sad to say, but we won't be using them anymore. I wear a uniform and they lost three shirts ( I only get 4) and denied losing them. In addition, they took a black and white checked shirt and bleached it out to red and white! My husband went to cleaner and they denied that it was their fault- until my husband pointed out that shirt was STILL original black and white color under the arms!! Hard to deny it then. Lo and behold , they also found my missing uniform shirts and his missing laundry as well. My husband demanded free service at that point and did not pay for any dry cleaning but he was out a custom work shirt. We are moving on and cannot recommend this cleaner . read more

Horrible service! I have to pick up 3 shirts because they didn't clean them!!!

I have been using this company for nearly 6 years now. The dry cleaning always comes out nice without odor like some places. The laundered clothes always look nice. I even took an outfit there that I had spilled oil on and didn't think it would ever come out, I showed them and when it was returned to me the stain was gone! My favorite outfit was saved!!! If you want an honest company who does a great job then this is the place for you. I am not sure why some others have mentioned such a poor experience. Too bad people with a negative experience are so quick to complain but those that have good experiences often do not say anything. read more

I use this business weekly for my dry cleaning and my clothes always come out clean, pressed, and looking great!

This is the worst dry cleaning service I have ever experienced. 1. They are WAY over priced. $3 to sew on ONE patch that is 1 inch by 1 inch in size and they don't even clip the threads from it. 2. They very noticeably stained a military uniform blouse in 2 locations. I had to point them out to them, so they re-cleaned and re-pressed the shirt. I got it back and one of the stains was still there... dark in color and on the collar. Then the woman insisted that the stain was there when I brought it in. I'm sorry, but in the military we don't have dark stains on our dress uniforms and take them to get pressed and wear again. The stain was not there. (After going back for it a 3rd time, they got it out) 3. They pressed the blouses the first time with noticeable wrinkles in them still. They pressed it a 2nd time with military creases, which we specifically asked not to have done. The third time they were supposed to iron it by hand (which I paid extra for) and there were still large lines of wrinkles down the front of the shirt and shoulders. 4. I dropped off two ODUs to be pressed and they pressed them fully buttoned up (they have to have creases in the top) and I had specifically told them what had to be done and showed them. 5. The same 2 sets of ODUs were to be cleaned, pressed, and have patches sewn on the collars. After having them a week... I returned to pick them up... they only pressed the uniform and did not sew the patches on. On top of all of this... it took me about 3 weeks to get everything back. Whenever I went to pick up something for the initial time, it was not ready and I actually had to go there after closing time because they didn't finish my stuff (as if I have nothing better to do than hang out at the dry cleaners for an extra HOUR). When I originally dropped my stuff off they told me to come back in 2 days for pick up. I told them it wasn't necessary because I didn't need any of it that week, and gave them 7 DAYS to have it all done... Only half of it was finished on time and NONE of it was done correctly. I will NEVER go back there. The only good part: It was a family run business and the owner's kids spoke perfect English... the owner's.... not so much. read more

I've been to Plaza South Cleaners about 5 or 6 times now and I've never had a problem. I don't find they are any higher than any other decent cleaners. The ones that are super cheap are usually too good to be true. I'd rather pay a bit more for better service. I was going to a really great place up in Oceanside where the owner walks your clothes out to the car for you but... talk about PRICEY.... just can't afford that place. This seems quite reasonable in comparison and it's extremely convenient... located next to Sprouts, near Vons, CVS and everything else you can think of needing on a errand run. Caution: Watch out for Snow Ball their killer Maltese. Not friendly... don't even try. ;) read more

Active duty avoid this shop for your uniforms. They quoted a price and then upped the charge by $6 at pickup time, claiming a mistake. Also offered a 15% military discount initially, but this was also taken away when checking out. Overall prices are several dollars higher than other shops and the customer service when trying to understand this situation was pretty poor. read more

I brought the pants back and they sewed on the cut off pieces thinking that is acceptable. It looked like crap and was insulting to me. Think twice about using this cleaners. They are one of the more expensive cleaners in the area. Have been using their service for sometime but learned a lesson today . Went in to pick up dry cleaning order this morning and was asked to pay more for the service than was written up at time of drop off. Owner claims her son wrote up the original ticket with the wrong price. Granted it was only a $6.00 difference ..but it's the principal. Since when can a business take what I would call a "signed order"...ticket with cost for service to be completed and raise the price at pick up? They need to train their employees (owners son) better on how to recognize the garments when they are dropped off. Besides their son and daughter..communication is a real issue. Better understanding of English and business etiquette is needed. read more

I have been using Plaza South Cleaners for close to 10 years now. My husband likes them best because his shirts come out clean and without the odors that most other cleaners leave in them. I have had them clean everything from formal wear to sweaters and they alway look great. I haven't had any major mending jobs but have had them do some small repairs and have been happy with the work. This place is schocking. They lost 3 of my husbands' shirts but tried to say that they mis counted. I had been counting with her so we did not both miscount by 3. They called 3 days laters to say that yes, they had given the three shirts to someone else as they had called in. When we tried to get the shirts back, they told us that the customer had not been in to return them. I paid for my dry cleaning when they originally lost the shirts, -$32 and there was no utter of an apology at the time or a suggetsion that they might cover the cleaning since the shirts were $60 each, it would have been a gesture. I called today to see if they had the shirts and the owner, the husband hung up on me. I just had a new baby so am not interested in getting emotional and upset about it but really!! Kind of unbelievable. When they were in denial, they tried to blame it on my baby saying- " we miscounted because your baby was so cute"..I am switching cleaners after 4 years of service to these people and hundreds of dollars. read more
