To say I'm in awe of Sylvia's talent is an understatement. I've been a fan of this ombré style forever and can't seem to bring myself to get my nails done that way but Sylvia patiently showed me how it's done and voila! She then asked if I wanted something 3D and I thought it was some sort of a sticker that she'd placed on my nails but man! I've been on the hunt for a good nail salon that uses quality product. I think I've finally found it! I set my expectations today with a picture and received excellent service meeting my standards! This will be my new hometown salon! The shape and design is exactly what I requested. Minus one star due to color choices. I wanted a hunter green and ended up getting a brownish color due to the only greens available were bright/neon colors. I am very picky with my nails. I always get French (white tips) acrylics. My nail lady at Rnails, was booked but I needed a fill really bad before my trip. So I went to Kim's Nails. I was a walk in, and was seated pretty fast. I didn't have to wait. But I told her I just wanted a fill and shorten. I came out with uneven nails. She did not file them nicely or evenly. And my acrylics was very thick and heavy. How hard is it to just get a fill? It's literally such a basic and well common procedure. I don't know how anyone can mess it up. After the nail salon, i went to Walgreens next door and filed my nails so they look somewhat even and decent. Never going back, not professional. read more

Their business was clean. That's it. The service was classless. I assume they have new management because she pretended to barely comprehend anything I said that didn't correlate to basic math. She made the piss poor decision of booking me with a kid who had literally never done one pedicure before me. I was waiting for 20 minutes without being acknowledged and coerced into a $10 upcharge before the service even began. When I asked her for change amongst the cash I paid, she refused and raised her voice at me. I won't be making any visits to this location again. BEWARE!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! WORST SALON IN CLARKSVILLE!!! I was told a 10 minute wait, and after being seated multiple times to play musical chairs, I finally got worked on after 40 minutes of waiting!!! When I sat down, I said I wanted regular polish (the 2nd time I had said this). The guy then made a very rude remark with an awful attitude. He then proceeded to talk about it in front of me to the other guy (I think the owner) beside him. LISTEN.. NOT EVERYONE needs gel polish!!! ALSO... OTHER PEOPLE CAN SPEAK YOUR LANGUAGE!!! Just because I am white, does not mean I do not know what your saying about me!! The guy did my acrylic fill in in 15 minutes. FIFTEEN minutes!!! I waited forty (with not many before me). He jerked me around, was very rough with the drill slammed the polishes, and was EXTREMELY disrespectful. Also, I do not pay for my service before I receive it. When you go to dinner, do you pay and tip the waiter before you receive your food? NO! When you go to the hair salon do you pay and tip before you get your service? NO! SO DO NOT ASK ME TO PAY BEFORE HAND. He asked me to pay before he was even halfway finished. I told him no my my friend (who was waiting) was paying would pay after. I said that it was okay he could go ahead and polish. He then walked over to her and asked her to pay. She politely said she was not ready to pay (as we dont pay until after the service). He then asked her to pay 2 more times!!! She then continued to say not yet! He then came back to me to say "she said she not paying". I then firmly said, SHE WILL PAY. He was very sloppy with the polish, messed it up, and did no top coat on one finger. He rudely stared and rolled his eyes at my friend while he was trying to polish. He then ran to my friend (again before he was done) and demanded her to pay. Guess what.. $0 TIP FOR YOU! GET BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE. JUST BECAUSE IT IS NOT AN EXPENSIVE SERVICE DOES NOT MEAN YOU CAN BE DISRESPECTFUL. I in cosmetology school, and I know the rules state board has in place for salons. He used old gloves that he blew into (with his mouth) and violated many health policys. You can not pull your trash while your working on my nails! Thats a violation! State board WILL be getting notified. Not everyone wants your most expensive service!!!! Grow up and do not throw a tantrum about it!! He acted like a fool. How embarrassing! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. CLEANLINESS ISSUE!!!! I'm just going to list the things I witnessed that are not ok, and gross. I work in an operating room and my work life revolves around sanitation so I know what to look for and I also consulted a nail tech friend of mine. The towel used on the desk was not clean, visibly soiled. The file that was used on my nails was AT THE SAME TIME being used on another's nails. The cuticle clippers were pulled from his desk drawer and when I asked if they were sanitized he said yes and pointed to the autoclave. He then sprayed alcohol on it and whipped it off with the dirty towel. The acetone in the bowl was poured back into the bottle once he was done soaking my polish off. I also got a pedicure. I assumed my bowl was clean but I watched the bowl next to mine be drained and immediately filled for the next client. It was not cleaned AT ALL, not even a wipe down. The gentleman who did my pedicure had a caddy with all his supplies that he carried from client to client so none of the instruments were cleaned between uses. That included the callus remover block that was just rinsed off. The young lady next to me didn't even receive a massage or even lotion, she had to ask him and he seemed very annoyed by her mentioning it to him. It's one thing to do a crappy job and for a business to have horrible customer service but to obviously not follow any health codes is insane. If you choose to go here go get some antibiotics before they even touch you, it's your health at risk. I'd hate for someone to get a staph infection. read more

I was super excited to go here after reading the reviews and having recommendations to try it out, but I was very disappointed and will not be going back. I went for a mani and pedi. When I walked in I asked if anyone was available that could do a 4th of July theme. I was told there was and had to wait to see her. I waited so I could get the nail art that I wanted. While I was waiting, she told me to look online and see what designs I wanted. I got to the pedi seat and someone else did my pedicure and polished my nails. She was awesome and had a great personality, which is why I gave my review a 2 instead of a 1, but she doesn't do designs, so I had to wait on someone. The lady who originally was supposed to do them didn't and sent someone else over. I told him I wanted to do a firework and even showed him a picture and I ended up with a black, white and blue flag, so not even 4th of July colors and the stars were in the bottom left corner. I may have excused this, but it wasn't the correct colors and it was upside down. After that, he proceeded to put silver dots on my other toes. When he asked if I liked it, I told him no and that it wasn't what I asked for. Instead of fixing it, he polished over the dots he had done and didn't change the flag at all. He asked me if I liked it again and I told him no, that the colors were not what I wanted and I didn't ask for a flag. He then did a firework, but it looks more like a Pom Pom. After that, I got in the mani chair expecting the lady who agreed to do them to do the mani, but it was the same guy. I again showed him a picture of what I was wanting and picked out colors, but I couldn't find a blue that matched the color I needed. After he recommended some light blues and turquoise type colors, we settled on a darker blue that had glitter. I did not want glitter, but decided this would be okay, because not all the nails were supposed to be this color. Then he went and got some add on glitter and stars. The stars were pink, so I told him no. He ended up painting all my nails glitter blue and I again did not say anything, because I figured he had a plan. By the time he was done painting and had gotten out the design kit, my nails looked so bad I decided I no longer wanted a design. There are bubbles in my nails, they aren't completely painted, there is no undercoat under the glitter blue, so you can see my nail through it, they are rough around the edges from not being filed all the way, etc. I couldn't believe he thought this was acceptable and was moving on. When I declined the nail art, he got rude and told me my nails were too short anyways. I know this is not true, because I never have my nails longer than they are and get nail art from the guy I see in NC all the time. Needless to say, I walked out very disappointed and will not be going back. I really wish I would of had a better experience here, because I have seen some amazing pictures and would like a steady nail place around this area. I have attached a couple photos. This is the nail salon I have always been going to for the past 3-4 years. I've never had issues with them. My pedicure stays on for months. I got my pedicure a week ago and it's already chipping off in multiple places. I do not remember who did my pedicure, but I'm almost 100% positive that the guy cut me in two places and did not tell me until I got home and saw it for myself. I'm also not sure if it is due to covid, but I was rushed out of the place when they usually let me stay to let the polish dry. I will not be returning to this nail salon. read more

I went here to get a pedicure and as I was getting a pedicure the nail technician stopped working on me to go give another customer that arrived after me a pedicure. This happened two more times with two nail technicians after him. Now the right side of my toe is infected. There is obviously a sanitation problem here. As a guy i dont normally get my nails done. I was pretty skeptical about going in with my wife to do it but boy was I wrong. I usually go with my wife to get a pedicure and my eyebrows waxed. Nina and sylvia are great at making me feel relaxed. They always take their time with me and my wife and are very personable. Since I've moved to Clarksville, I've only went to Kim's. But today was my FINAL visit. I went in for a pedi with sea salt scrub (Every 2 weeks faithfully). The lady had an attitude & my pedi was rushed. When I got home I noticed dead skin on my feet, that if she actually took her time & scrubbed my feet it wouldn't have been there. I called back & he said that she (Amy) had already left for the day. I knew he was lying & drove back up there to show her and I was told there was nothing they could do. Visiting Clarksville from out of town and wanted a pedicure. I ran across Kim's while searching in Yelp. Glad I chose this nail salon. The salon is clean and well appointed. I was lucky to arrive when they weren't too busy, however, clients came in continually and were serviced in a timely manner. They have a large variety of polishes to choose from. I was several hundred miles from home and only half way to my destination when the "fix" my usual place did on a broken nail have way and I needed an emergency fix. Having no clue where to go, I just picked one and hoped for the best. Well I got it! All the technicians were busy with pedicures, but they fit me in right away, put a GOOD fix on the nail and sent me on my way within 5 minutes. And all at NO CHARGE! I absolutely love this place! Ive been coming to Kim's for over a year now and everyone there is so welcoming! The only issue i have is the new "receptionist" that works up front. She is rude and extremely condescending. Her attitude is almost too much to bite your tongue about. She also has a very sloppy appearance and brings all of her college friends in the shop to "parade" around. Very annoying and immature. I was excited to return to this salon because of my previous experience. Upon returning a second time, I was seated immediately after signing in. My nails were prepped by one tech and then started on by the head nail tech. Not long after I arrived someone requested him. There was a woman that I assumed worked there as well that came out from the back. She told the man he needed to hurry to get to the next person. He didn't spend much time for what I needed. However, I requested that my nails be buffed because I hate polish and the time it takes to dry. The tech insisted that I get polish. When he told me to wash my hands I knew there was no use in reminding him that I wanted my nails buffed. By the time my hands were dry I came back to my sit and there was someone else there. He then pulled out the Polish at the nail drying table. I did not receive what I as a client requested. This is unacceptable for any business unless the request is unreasonable or the client cannot pay. Neither of which applied to my situation. read more

I'm leaving this review as my girlfriend is getting her nails done. Everything was fine up until the man doing her nails started to cut down the acrylic. He was rough cutting down the acrylic and when he went to file them down, he was using HIS nail to pry the acrylic up and push her skin down so he could file it. He caused her very much discomfort and even caused her to bleed. He asked if it hurt and continued to make her uncomfortable. read more
