Yesterday a friend of mine got up with the intentions of having three pieces of clothing laundered and starch added. This was to be same day pickup clothes were dropped off around 8:30am. After getting off from work he headed to get his clothes. He gets to the cleaners and wouldn't you know. The clothes can't be located. The worker is looking for and eventually located the clothes. All is not well as the clothes have not been laundered and starch added as discussed that mornin. Worker says I can add it by hand. He agreed mostly because he was already behind schedule for an event because they couldn't find his clothes. After the worker was done he asked about a discoun. He was given a 10% discount. A 10% is an insult but he accepted it. He ended up being over 2 hours late for his event. He was so irritated that he almost didn't go. You drop your clothes to a business for a service to be performed. The service is not performed as discussed. Then you don't even have the decency to really acknowledge your error(s). What is a 10% discoun? You essentially got paid full price for horrible service. I saw the reviews about this cleaners. I see at one time it was ran wel. The new owners need to keep that going and not continue to shame the former owners name. read more

Since Kim sold the business, they have taken on too much work have grown too big too fast and they do not have the people to keep up with it. They are losing tickets. They are losing clothes. I brought in my skiing pants to REPLACE the zipper. I am told to pick it up a week later. I pay $17.50 for it. I pick it up before my trip and put it on when I'm Colorado: zipper is still broken. I call right away and Kim herself tells me I can bring it back. That's no help, I wanted to prevent snow in my pants on the trip. I bring back the pants and am told to pick up the week after. Two days after the supposed to pick up day, it is still not fixed. Another week later I come to pick it up: SAME ZIPPER. As many reviewers have noted, the owner is the sweetest and most personable woman in the world, however you should beware the extremely high prices, none of which are printed on your receipt when you drop off your garments, only when you pick them up and after the fact. I was charged $40 to clean suede shirt and replace a button... The shirt was soft as warm butter when I gave it to her and it was returned feeling like 90 grit sandpaper!!!. And... they didn't even repair the button!!! Also, everyone of my business shirts that I paid $4.50 each (most cleaners are $2.50 -$3.50) to have laundered are shrunken (selves) to the point I can no longer wear them. The absolute worst. Dropped of clothes on a Thursday afternoon, asked for a Saturday afternoon pickup, and was charged $8 for rush service ($1 per item). Arrive on Saturday after 2pm, the agreed upon rush time, and printed on the receipt, to find the clothes weren't done. After waiting for 15 minutes so they could find my clothes, they came out to ask what color was my third shirt. They had misplaced it, in the rush to find my other clothes. This is all happening while I'm there, and had been charged $8 for rush service. So after 30 minutes in total, the clothes were ready, and I was offered an $8 credit to the account, not an $8 refund. No need for the credit on the account, I will not return. Save yourself the trouble, don't go here. read more

Apparently, unlike the other reviewers, I am not rich, or maybe I am more budget conscious. This place is a major rip off, especially for an area like Edgewater/Wynwood! I have never been to a more expensive dry cleaner. $7 to dryclean a pair of regular, cotton pants? They are out of their mind! Most places charge $3-$5 for this same service (and even $5 is a bit on the pricey side), but $7 is ridiculous, unless you live on Fisher Island. Their alterations are also VERY expensive compared to what I paid in Hialeah and in The Falls area. I'd rather drive the 7 miles to Hialeah and get alterations done for half the price of this place! I'll be sure to never use this place and will NOT recommend them to anyone, unless they are rich and wanting to waste their money just for the hell of it. read more

Top notch. Clothes cleaned on premises. With care. No strong smell. I like the way white clothes are handled. It takes a little longer than other clothes. However, no graying. My fanciest dresses are treated with love. The buttons are wrapped. Pressed well without burning or flattening within an inch of their lives. I recommend this establishment without reservation. I've been driving to this dry cleaners for a few months from downtown after I became fed up with our pick up services pricing. I'm so glad that I made the switch. The owner truly treats everyone like family. When she found out that I got married, she came out from behind the counter and gave me a hug wishing me all the happiness in my marriage. Yes, the turn around time is a few days but that is pretty typical for Miami. They go above and beyond for their customers. Excellent dry cleaner. Never had a single stain or wrinkle not taken care of. Also, the alterations are very well done at a reasonable price. Even the shoe repairs are excellent. Plus, Kim is extremely fair in her dealings - once my wife took a pair of shoes in to get the sole replaced. Instead of doing unnecessary work, Kim just replaced the part that needed replacing instead of performing work and charging for work that wasn't needed. And Sparky (her dog), with his massive underbite, is like the mascot of Kims' and really cute too. read more

Very Very disappointed in the service I received. I asked before going if they cleaned upholster pillows. "Yes we clean anything" was the answer. The 2 large chair pillows came back very discolored and lumpy. I knew they had to remove the covers to wash them. But it looks like no attempt was made to re-stuff properly and the color was severely faded. They are no longer close to being comfortable to sit on. The two smaller throw pillows covers were cover in lint. How could they return all of these such this condition. I'm taking them all back pronto. I have had clothing cleaned there many times in the last 5 years without any problems. Stay Tuned......Will follow up with the out come. read more

When it comes to dry cleaning, I try to keep it as close to the house as possible, otherwise, it's like sending the clothes that have been riding around like a hostage in my trunk for weeks on a three-week vacation. (Read: I'm beyond lazy at dropping off and picking back up.) In fact, I'm probably the reason they invented those deadlines for retrieving your clothes. Luckily, Kim's is smack dab in the middle of my hood. The prices are great, the return time is fast and Kim is a doll. Dry cleaning aside, Kim also sells a variety of Girl Scout cookies when they are in season (to help out neighborhood kids), should you need an emergency fix. But my favorite thing about Kim's is Sparky, her dog, who eagerly awaits a pet and a scratch from each passing patron. Good service, Girl Scout cookies and a cute dog?
