Asian girlfriend approved, she sucked every bit of fish off that entire fish fried. I tried some of the meat also, so good. GIVE IT A TRY! It isn't scary, it's goooood. I got the beef basil, tasted good and safe for any new Thai food indulgent. The vibes are 10/10 and the lighting is great. If you're coming on a tinder date - you're good girl. The lights and vibes are non fluorescent and flattering. Service was quick and everyone attentive to our water, to the point where I definitely felt hydrated.

The food was okay. The items we ordered definitely didn't taste authentic. We ordered the chicken and rice which was pretty good - it tasted legit like a large fresh McDonald's chicken nugget. The broth it came with was really good. The basil beef was def an Americanized version of the dish. The restaurant would be considered a "hole in the wall" type place. Service was okay. Overall, not for me.

Great food! I'm in love with the fried chicken khao soi. The broth is thick, satisfying and whenever I took a slurp, it felt like being hugged. The fried noodle ball gave an added contrast that's elevated this dish to an even better experience. They have quite a selection of Thai beers, not just the usual singha. We got a couple of Thai craft beers (in cans); one was a sticky rice lager and the other was banana wheat beer and both were refreshingly good. There was a short line when we got there, but we didn't have to wait long since we were ok with the bar seats. I'd love to come back to try other dishes. Or eat more Khao soi. lol.

4.5 stars. Impressed during my first visit and want to come back for a full on dinner. Stopped by for a solo lunch while in the area and ordered papaya salad, tom yum fries, and shrimp wontons. My favorites were the Tom yum fries and wontons. Never had anything like the fries before and it was perfectly seasoned. The shrimp wontons were nice and crispy; not too much wrapper either. The papaya salad was good but I felt like it was missing something... can't put my finger on it tho. The server did say there was another similar salad that was "funkier" as he described it and I wonder if that's what I'm looking for or maybe a higher spice level. Willing to try it next time. Service was good, no complaints at all. I loved the aesthetic of the shop, a lot of culture stuff. Will def be back

Went here for Lunch and got a table fast. They have outdoor seating too so we chose that. I had their DRUNKEN MAMA and my wife had the TOM YUM PORK RIBS SOUP. My DRUNKEN Mamma was good but I wish I had other options for noodles coz the noodles are similar to those Mi Goreng instant noodles, this Drunken Mamma has mixed Seafood like Shrimps, scallops, and Mussels, this has a good flavor but not a fan of the noodles and maybe a few more seafood would be nice. My wife had the TOM YUM PORK RIBS, very nice sourness on the soup but the ribs were kinda small, maybe my wife and I have been dining at similar places with Pork ribs and we are used to always having bigger ribs in other restaurants, but we like their Tom Yum broth. Parking is kinda hard, we park on the side street. Service was great, and the place is very clean. Food is just okay.

Wow! Quaint Thai street eats place right around the corner from the North Park sign. Service was incredibly friendly and the food was amazing. The basil beef was so fragrant and delicious and the Khao Soi was pretty darn good too. Not my personal favorite Khao Soi ever, but it'll definitely scratch the itch.

Got to try this Thai Restaurant on a Friday night. Located in North Park next to other trendy businesses, street parking can be difficult. Pros: -their Tom yum wings were outstanding and the best thing that I had. I would come back just to order their wings!!!! We also tried the son in law wings- they were good but I think the Tom yum wings were the star of the show. -papaya salad was refreshing. We got it spicy. I didn't think it had too much heat. -friendly staff -lots of fun things to look around at in their restaurant Cons: -n/a

    Thai Fried Rice with beef

We came by for dinner on a Sunday night. While the parking lot was busy, there was no wait in the restaurant, and we were promptly seated and served with the menu and drinks. The price is steep for a Thai restaurant, and that alone I can overlook, but the appetizer's depiction, price, and portion seem a little unbalanced. We ordered the pork spare ribs, the mango and shrimp ceviche with crispy wontons, beef Thai fried rice, and a crispy pork pad see ew. Don't get me wrong, all the food tasted delicious! But the portion of the appetizers was very disappointing. The portion of pork spare ribs was too small, and given that most of the pieces were bones, it was disappointing. So we added the ceviche, again, while the taste was excellent, sweet, spicy, and sour, it was so good! But the problem was that the ceviche came with only five pieces of fried wonton skins to enjoy it with. There is an imbalance between the food and the price. Then the beef Thai fried rice: the meat itself was odd. It was cooked just enough, but the pieces of meat were not bite-sized, pale, and some were tough to chew. The fried rice itself had great flavor, but the rice pieces were still 'wet' and stuck together; the rice should have been fried longer until the grains separated a little more. The pad see ew was great! No complaints there, I love that you can choose the crispy pork as protein for the pad see ew, not a lot of Thai restaurants do that. Also, kudos to the waitstaff: when they saw us come in with two kids, they offered a high chair and immediately gave them their kids' utensils and water. My girl got a Hello Kitty plate, and my boy got a Doraemon plate. It's the little things that count! Overall, we had a great time here, ate quality food, and enjoyed the lovely decor inside.

This place is super cute especially with their decor of reminiscent of a Thai street eater. The wooden panels to the front, to the colorful lottery tickets in the front and snacks makes this a very quiant food street. Food wise the most noteworthy dish I want to highlight is the son in law wings! The wings are amazing and delicious especially woth the unique combinations of the tamarind sauce.

Lenk ribs- Tender, Juicy, Delicious. A definite must order!

Seriously don't know how I haven't reviewed Kin Len. I have eaten here numerous times over the last five years. Its so good you can't wait to bring friends here. Kin Len is not your typically Thai food restaurant. They do have dishes like: Pas Thai, Pad See Ew , and Tom yum and Tom kha soup. However, their menu offers so much more than that. Some of my go to's are: Lenk Ribs- the spicy lime sauce/broth make this a fo to. Basil Beef- full of flavor and the basil makes it extra special Tom yum wings- these are just fun and different Sous-vide chicken & rice - more like comfort food. Looks plain but taste delicious and once again this broth is delicious. I love that they have Chang Beer, and various other Thai beers. The service is mostly good. The restaurant can get pretty busy and it's on the smaller side.

Sea of Tom Yum - good flavor but mostly rice
    Sydney H.

Ordered delivery through uber eats - overall, liked the flavors and food but felt it wasn't worth the value. The seafood tom yum stir fry had great flavor and fresh seafood, but it was a really small portion for the price. Same thing for the mushroom dish - it tasted good, but tiny amount of mushrooms. Both containers were 80% rice. Also, I ordered medium heat and neither was even remotely spicy. I liked the food but wouldn't order again due to the small amount if actual food included.

This spot was saved on places I should try, and I'm glad I had the chance to visit. I was lucky enough to find metered parking right in front. I sat outside, and the interior was decorated beautifully. It really made me feel like I was back in Thailand. The server was great. She went over the popular items and was very attentive, constantly refilling our waters. I ordered the Tom Yum Wings for $12.95. They were perfectly dry seasoned, and each bite was packed with flavor. A must order and easily my favorite dish. I also had the Drunken Noodles with Chicken for $18.95. They were good, but the wings stood out the most. I love Thai food and would definitely return for those wings if I'm in the area.

Came here for an early dinner and the interior was playful. Felt authentic and fun. We got the wings and 2 other dishes. The wings were a bit too over seasoned where it felt more on the salty side. The service was a bit too slow in every aspect. Taking our order, to food coming out to getting water refill was a struggle. Had to go up to the counter to get servers attention. There was about 5 parties with 2 workers. Food was decent and service can be a bit more improved.

The staff was friendly when we arrived, we were seated quickly, received our drinks promptly, and our food came out fast. The music was enjoyable, the ambiance was nice, and the restaurant had a modern, welcoming feel. Most importantly, the food was excellent. Everything we ordered was delicious, and my kids couldn't stop talking about the crispy pork belly. Honestly, the food itself was 5-star quality. The issue was what happened as the restaurant approached closing time. About 10-15 minutes after we started eating, a staff member brought our check and asked us to pay even though we were still waiting on two mango sticky rice desserts that had not yet been served. I politely explained that we hadn't received all of our food yet, so it didn't make sense to close out the bill. The desserts were brought out shortly afterward. A different employee then returned and again asked us to close out the check, assuring us that we could continue eating while they finished closing. Although I was hesitant, I paid and explained that I would leave a cash tip after we finished since we were still dining. Unfortunately, from that point on, the service noticeably changed. No one checked on our table, our water glasses were never refilled, and the staff seemed focused on cleaning around us. The booth behind us was being cleaned very loudly while we were still trying to enjoy our meal. It made us feel rushed and unwelcome, and honestly took away from an otherwise great dinner. When I asked for containers for our leftovers, the interaction felt cold and standoffish compared to the friendly service we received earlier in the evening. My suggestion would be that if the restaurant is close to closing and doesn't want guests dining in, they should clearly communicate that and switch to takeout only. The food was genuinely delicious, and I would come back again--but not near closing time. Great food, disappointing end to the evening.

We ordered 4 dishes to share, the wasabi scallop ceviche, crispy baby crab, braised beef panang, and crab fried rice. The ceviche was definitely one of my favorites. Super flavorful, fresh, with the perfect amount of wasabi. The crispy baby crab was savory and easy to eat, especially since you're eating the whole crab, shell and all. The curry in the braised beef panang was so addicting, I couldn't stop eating it. The crab fried rice was tasty and filling. For dessert we got the mango sticky rice. I went with one of my girlfriends tonight at about 5:30 PM. We were quickly seated. I ordered a mango lemonade, which came out quite fast and was beautiful. It tasted pretty good too. I asked the server for recommendations on the menu, but she seemed startled by my question, like she was not used to giving recommendations. The two items that she did recommend didn't really sound appealing so I went with Pad See Ew with mock duck. That's one of my go to dishes at a Thai restaurant. I asked not to have any spice level added to my food, but the food came out and was just generally lacking flavor. It was very bland and even though there was a generous portion of vegetables in the dish the mock duck was super mushy. All the places I've ever been to it's sautéed crispy. Also, the the noodles were all stuck together. Like if you put noodles in water to let it boil, but you don't stir them and they just boil like that in a clump. The restaurant was very cute inside. I would be open to trying it again just because I've heard so many good things that I can't believe this is their standard experience.

The server also gave us a heads-up that it's very fish-forward in flavor, which we appreciated and happened to love. The absolute standout of the meal was the Nam Khao Tod. It was hands down the family favorite--crispy coconut rice with pork sausage, crunchy peanuts, fresh herbs, and so many incredible textures and flavors in every bite. Since we've never had food from Laos before, we tried the Laos Famous Plate which was a mixture of all of the staples including several kinds of meat jerky, sausage, salad, and rice paper. It did not suit my palate as the papaya salad was very strong on the acidity with some vinegar and fermented vegetables, and the jerky was a little tough to get through. I liked the sausage though, soft and with a unique flavor that is worth the try. The Nam Khao pork had a lot of different flavors and textures mixing together which also makes for a unique dish. I love the peanuts and the lime on the side. The rice is deep fried and crunchy. There is some "cheesey" flavor to it, though there's no cheese. This is a good one for anyone who likes the sides or apps at a Viet or Thai place and wants to mix it up. Finally, we did go basic (or classic) and got a pad thai with shrimp. It's a little on the sweet side, and I do wish there was more shrimp and peanuts given, but the noodles itself is solid and the portion of noodles is good.

The fact that they were vegan-friendly immediately earned a spot on my radar. After a long work…read moreweek, I pictured myself enjoying a quiet, peaceful dinner where I could decompress and recharge. Instead, I accidentally walked into what felt like the culinary cousin of a nightclub. The music was pumping, the energy was high, and any thoughts of a tranquil retreat disappeared faster than my appetizer. Maybe it's a completely different vibe during the day, but at night, this place is definitely alive. That said, once I adjusted my expectations (and accepted that my meditation session would have to wait), I had a great time. The restaurant is located inside Sky Deck, an indoor food hall with multiple vendors. Finding it felt a bit like a scavenger hunt since the signage wasn't very obvious, but after asking around, I eventually made my way there. I started with the garlic green beans after seeing another reviewer rave about them, and wow- they were not exaggerating. The dish arrived with a tiny umbrella perched on top, which was both adorable and unexpectedly glamorous for a plate of green beans. This appetizer was small but mighty. Every bite was packed with flavor, and if I hadn't already ordered an entrée, I absolutely would have ordered a second round. For my main course, I chose the Pad See Ew with fried tofu at medium spice. Apparently, their definition of "medium" and my definition of "medium" are not close relatives. This dish came with a kick! Halfway through, I found myself wishing I had ordered something sweet to balance things out. Instead, I bravely faced the spice armed only with hot water and a slice of lime. Um, it was a battle. While the portion size wasn't quite as large as what I've seen at similar restaurants, it ended up being exactly the right amount for me that evening. I left satisfied without feeling overly full. The service was wonderful as well. The waitresses were kind, and the hostess checked in during my meal, which made the experience feel welcoming and attentive. Although I didn't get the quiet, zen-like end to my work week that I had envisioned, I ended up enjoying something different: a fun solo date surrounded by great food, upbeat music, and the infectious energy of the crowd. Sometimes the universe gives you a peaceful retreat, and sometimes it gives you spicy noodles and a soundtrack. This time, I got the latter- and I'm not mad about it.

Such a beautiful Thai restaurant located within the Del Mar Sky Deck with incredibly flavorful…read moredishes! We surely left sated and with full and happy bellies. What we tried: Thai Iced Tea with coconut milk Fresh Spring Rolls with shrimp Tom Kha with shrimp Moo Yang Mixture Set Braised Beef Panang Curry Thai Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango Everything was truly topnotch. Every dish we got was so tasty and just made with love. One thing that was worth noting though, was how soft and tender the proteins were on the chef's signature dishes that we ordered. The braised beef just melts in your mouth! Their Thai Iced Tea was not too sweet and the mango sticky rice was utter perfection! The ambiance was amazing as their decor was not only simply exquisite, but so eye catching and interesting too, and the staff--they were so kind and attentive. You get the kind of service that will make you want to come back. They just make you feel so welcome here. Overall, we're absolutely delighted to have had dinner here and it certainly won't be the last time.
