4.5/5 I love a dinner time bento box!! I chose sashimi and shrimp tempura. The shrimp tempura was a bit greasy for my liking, but the sashimi was solid. Everything came out quickly and it was tasty. The servers were super friendly, and the place had a warm vibe. I'll be back. :)

Went here for a quick bite to get my sushi fix and would definitely recommend. We went on a Sunday around 4pm and were seated immediately. Service was fast and friendly. What I loved most was that the rolls were really good and very affordable. The specialty rolls are not far off in price from the classic rolls! I think the rolls we got (the flamin' salmon roll and the orange crush) were really tasty and I'd definitely return and get the same rolls. I haven't been to the original location to compare but this place seemed to be able to accommodate large parties with some of their tables. Parking was also easy to find in the lot in front of the building.

Happy for Sushi Yorimichi that they opened a second location! I hope business has been good for them. This location is a lot bigger than the other one, and while the original Linda Vista location has its own cozy charm, this location definitely feels a little less claustrophobic. I got the yakitori set bento box with takoyaki, and my husband got the teriyaki salmon bento with tempura. My favorite of the yakitori was the pork with green onion. The others didn't impress me too much if I'm being real, but it was still decent. I would probably choose a different type of bento box in the future, but I still really enjoy the set since it comes with a side, miso soup, and rice. I love the variety! I also really like that they have curry udon on the menu, although I haven't tried this specific dish at this location yet.

Have always been a fan of Sushi Yorimichi and this location is even better. It's the Linda Vista hidden gem for sure! They have a lot more space at this location and much easier to get seated. I love the grilled salmon belly, it's so buttery and tender. All their rolls are relatively inexpensive and very fresh. Highly recommend if you're in there area and need a sushi fix

BEST little hole in the wall sushi restaurant. My fiancee and I stumbled upon this restaurant a few months ago. We live in the neighborhood and figured we would try it out. We are so glad we did because this is now our go to sushi spot! Their prices are so affordable, we love their happy hour deals! Ambiance is super cozy, they have big booths so it's perfect for large groups. The downside is the parking lot, but we try to come early before the dinner rush. I really recommend the Surf & Skate roll & Grilled Salmon Belly, but everything we have tried has been delicious.

Came here because it was my friends birthday but also I couldn't have seafood before my surgery and they had non-fish items on the menu that were also authentic Japanese dishes. We walked in and the server sat us immediately. There restaurant had a very open feeling on the inside with beautiful Japanese art on the walls and decor. For appetizers, we ordered the Tan Shio (Beef tongue) and the Gyozas. The Tan Shio was cut at little thicker than what I'm used to making it a little tough to bite into but it eas flavored so nicely and the lemon slice it was paired with just elevated it! The Gyoza were also really good, fried with a nice crispy but not too tough either the inside was seasoned perfectly and the chili oil served with it was a nice touch. For our entrees we ordered the Yellowtail, Jalapeño Roll, the Tuna on Fire Deep Fried Roll and Katsu Don with chicken. Like I said I couldn't have the seafood but my friends really enjoyed their Yellowtail Roll and Tuna on Fire Roll, they finished both of them! The Katsu Don was very nicely seasoned, not to overpowering with a subtle sweet soy broth over the rice that brought the whole dish together. It was so authentic to what I've had in Japan before and I was really happy I got it. The server was very kind to us, made lots of good recommendations, was on top of it with refilling our water and gave us an ice cream cheese cake dessert for my friends birthday! Overall I definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs a Japanese food fix! So authentic and so good!

An affordable and decent sushi and other comfort items experience that'll hit the spot. I came here with a friend on a moms' night out and we were able to fulfill our sushi, hot sake, and yakatori cravings here without breaking the bank. While there was a pretty extensive list of classic, specialty, even monthly specials sushi rolls, many were California roll or Philadelphia roll based with different modifications, so we actually kind of had a hard time picking rolls that were more distinct from one another that didn't involve California or Philadelphia roll interior. We ended up with an ablacore and a yellowtail topped rolls which were both quite good. I also recommend the scallops skewers and both the salted and sweet plum flavors were good. They also had rice bowls that we got to-go for lunch the next day and I enjoyed the donkatsu with pork rice bowl which was hefty in portion as well.

This is Sushi Yorimichi's second location not too far from its first, and this space is much bigger with more larger table seating. The menu, monthly specials, and happy hour menu are all posted right at the entrance. We were greeted right away and seated quickly. We ordered the kawa-su, lamb chops, yellowtail jalapeño roll, and the carbonara udon with chicken. Kawa-Su- The kawa-su is small but packed with flavor. The chicken skin is bouncy and super flavorful, with a nice spicy kick. It's topped with green onions which adds a nice touch of flavor. Yellowtail Jalapeño Roll- The yellowtail jalapeño roll is fully loaded with albacore, krab mix, and root vegetables. It comes with yellowtail on top, along with ponzu sauce, sriracha, and fresh jalapeño on top. The flavors are bright and balanced, and the ponzu gives it that citrusy finish that makes it really refreshing. Carbonara Udon- The carbonara udon with chicken was honestly one of my favorite dishes of the night. The udon noodles are perfectly cooked, chewy, and hold onto the sauce really well. The sauce itself is creamy and light, not overly rich. It comes with a soft poached egg on top, and once you mix the yolk in, it smooths out the sauce and adds a richer, buttery flavor without feeling heavy. Lamb Chops- The lamb chops were beautifully charred and had that smoky flavor from the wood-fired grill. They're served with yuzu pepper paste and a slice of lemon. Accompany the lamb chops was a small side sesame slaw. The yuzu adds a nice citrus heat that pairs perfectly with the richness of the lamb. I would definitely recommend ordering these. This continues to be one of my favorite comfort spots for sushi. Our total came out to less than $50, which is honestly hard to beat for sushi in San Diego. It's affordable, flavorful, and consistent every time we come.

Omg! My boyfriend and i LOVE sushi yorimishi! The food is delicious and super affordable, the service is always so great, they never have a long wait even tho the tables are always filled, and they have anime playing on the tvs. When you walk inside, it truly feels like you just stepped into an izakaya in japan. We've tried many different food items and they have all been so delicious.

Came for happy hour. The lady greeted us though not as friendly/welcoming but she was quick to take our order & serve us more water. I mentioned it was our first time there so maybe she could give us some suggestions. Food came out quick. We tried a couple new things. The jalapeños were delicious. The sushi roll & teriyaki plate were not my favorite. They had some cute trinkets around the restaurant.

This has always been my go-to stop for affordable and great sushi ever since my boyfriend had put me on the original location. While I like the original location, I like bringing my friends and family here due to the bigger space. On our recent visit, my boyfriend ordered the Teriyaki Chicken bowl and the Yorimichi Roll while I ordered the Flaming Salmon Roll and the Salmon Carpaccio off the Monthly Special menu. I really enjoyed the Flaming Salmon Roll because the sear on the salmon on top was perfect. My boyfriend and I especially love coming here because we feel the food served here always does a great job at making you feel full and satisfied. The staff here are always welcoming and attentive. There's hardly ever a wait whenever I come here with a friend or two, but for big parties, it's recommended to call in for a reservation or come in early before peak busy hours. Overall, I always love coming here and probably always will whenever I get my familiar sushi cravings.

Second location of an established Linda Vista sushi spot, and a nice addition to this part of the neighborhood. We just wanted a small snack on the way home and decided to try it out. They have a pretty good looking happy hour menu. My fiancé and I ordered hand rolls off it. Both were very tasty and the fish seemed high-quality and fresh. I did think they skimped a little bit on the salmon on that hand roll, but the spicy tuna one was packed. We also ordered the Linda Vista roll and it was BOMB. Most of the other rolls had imitation crab on them and that's why I initially chose this one, but I thought it was lovely and the little bit of lemon zest on top of it the perfect amount of tang. We also thought their green tea was really good. Our server was super friendly and attentive. I appreciated that she paid attention to us, but did not overwhelm us or hover. The menu is really extensive, a lot of other Japanese dishes besides just sushi dishes. Sometimes that can be concerning because how can any place make that many things well.... But what we tried was quite good, so I'm willing to return with an open mind! I thought that the rice bowls and the noodle dishes looked really interesting and seemed to be competitively priced. The interior of this restaurant looked completely different than it did before. They did a good job with the remodel. There's also a sushi bar to sit at if you've got a smaller party and it's busy because the booths are all quite large.

Unfortunately, they recently changed the menu and I can no longer get tonkotsu broth. They only offer chicken broth ramen which I do not care for in the slightest. Even the additions I used to put in my ramen (bok choy and bamboo shoots) are gone. I can get over removing my favorite vegetable add-ons, but ramen broth is a pretty important item and I'm shocked the options are gone. I think you'll lose a lot of customers by committing to just one base as I think a lot of people have a clear preference. I will also say that service, drinks, and ambiance are all still top-notch! Tonight was especially good from a service standpoint. Incredibly nice, helpful staff! Saki menu is good. Cocktails are generally on-point. They always deliver in those areas. I'm currently super disappointed. Please bring back our broth options and you'll definitely be a five-star spot.

A normal meal. A casual San Diego ramen situation. Incorrect. What actually happened was that my child experienced a culinary event so powerful it rearranged her internal belief system. She took one bite and immediately declared it her "favorite meal ever" and "the best sushi on earth," which is impressive because those are two separate categories of food, but honestly I respect the conviction. At that moment, she became a tiny ramen prophet. A noodle evangelist. A sushi sommelier of chaos. I was no longer her father. I was merely the adult with a wallet and transportation. The ramen was fantastic. The sushi was fresh. The whole place had that magical "we actually care about what we are doing" energy, which is increasingly rare in a world held together by parking apps and spiritual fatigue. Then, as if the first visit had not already altered the timeline, my daughter made me go back the next day. Not requested. Not suggested. Made. There was no negotiation. She had tasted the mountain and demanded we return to the temple. So we did. And it was still excellent. BESHOCK is now officially part of our family lore. Somewhere between "remember that time we saw the ocean" and "remember when your daughter discovered ramen and briefly became a food critic possessed by a joyful sea dragon." Highly recommend. Bring your children only if you are emotionally prepared for them to ask to come back immediately.
