Checking out I was told my appointment was $150. I called Dr. Hirsch and explained how I believed this was obscene. He was to charge an additional $250 for the procedure on top. For a new first time patient, there was the ability to do what was right and roll both appointment costs into one $250 charge. Many doctors I have spoken to since speak to the ability to move on their.m costs and do what is best for their long term business and patient. Transparency and taking care of patients is not a priority for this practicing podiatrist. I cancelled the second appointment and sought additional care elsewhere. I'm sure rent is high in river north Dr Hirsch.

There may be an explanation for this discrepancy, but despite multiple attempts to follow up, I was unable to obtain clarification. Clear and timely communication is important to me as a patient, and this was unfortunately lacking.

Dr. Chin did just that. He gave me a lot of details about why my current condition made sense given my earlier injury and why all the signs he was seeing that everything was healing normally.

They also sell some raw honey that Dr. Paul apparently makes (is that the term? harvest?) himself. Love me some local honey! I got a jar and am glad I did. I'll be getting another jar soon. Anyway, on to the massage. The 1-hour massage lasted the full one hour (and then some). She uses hot stones, hot towels, and I'm not sure how she does it, but she doesn't reach out to get oil but somehow has it coming out as she's working on you with both hands! Like Spiderman or something. It was really cool. A really, very good massage. Talk to her and let her know if you need her to adjust strength and she gets on it right away. I'd be coming here regularly if I lived a little closer.

Dr. PK is also fantastic - an expert at his craft and is phenomenal at adjustments. I came in for a ruptured tendon back in November 2015, with Dr. Deepa Bhatt diagnosing my injuries…read more We scheduled surgery at the end of December for a repair, however, after surgery she mentioned that no repair was neccessary to the tendon and just cleaned off some debris from the injured area. Months later, I could no longer dorsiflex my ankle past the 90 degree mark and experienced major stiffness and pain in the inner ankle bone, so Dr. Bhatt gave me a PRP injection to help break down the scarring. Again, months later, no improvement and I was experiencing pain just walking so she told me to get a second opinion. I went to another hospital downtown and they were able to diagnose that my tendon was still damaged and completely scarred, which is why I could no longer dorsiflex my ankle. They made a new incision to correct the previous injury and now I can actually dorsiflex past the 90 degree mark. Dr. Bhatt was very nice and knowledgable, but didn't seem to have any further input after she couldn't figure out why I had no mobility in my ankle. Thankfully, my second surgery was a success and I'm comfortable walking again. You can catch me competing on NBC American Ninja Warrior again on Season 9 with a fully healed ankle this time around! On a side note, the front desk staff Sabrina was one of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of speaking with! I thought he could lightly trim or file the side so it could grow back in without pain. Wrong! He gave me the most painful shots I have ever had and cut off a big part of my toenail. But the worst part is that he cut a jagged edge that is now growing back into my toe again, much more painfully. Now I'm going to have to go back to a competent podiatrist and maybe get more surgery. He's completely incompetent and just rushed to do surgery to turn a quick buck. Bad doctor!

Everyone insisted I do not carry my bags around out of care. I received several long and short term services that made me feel physically and mentally relieved. I now have a plan to prevent this from happening. Dr Z even followed up past 8 pm his time to see how I was doing and if I had questions. It's rare you get that personalized service in the city.
