After multiple visits and a clean X-ray, they said I would need to come back several weeks later to explore the option of an injection. Meanwhile I could barely function and couldn't imagine waiting several more weeks for relief. I discovered Dr. Hennenhoefer upon recommendation from a colleague who had experienced chronic joint, connective tissue, and musculoskeletal pain, to go see an osteopathic muscular medicine expert. I hadn't heard of this sector of medicine before but as I read the description online, it sounded like exactly what I needed help with. His office makes it easy to make appointments - I was able to find an opening the same day (!!!) available to new patients (!!) that could do a diagnostic plus treatment intervention - all on the same day, which never happens within large healthcare systems, even with urgent care available. That day, I made the appointment, went in, and honestly within 24 hours my pain level went from a 9 out of 10 to a 7 out of 10 and within 3 days, I was down to a 4 or 5 out of 10! Honestly, he's a miracle worker. He has a deep understanding of how one area of the body can travel to another area and where to put pressure and release to feel relief across the system. He provided more in depth explanation of what was going on (with visuals!), why I was experiencing the issue, and exactly what to do and not to do (some of which was different or more nuanced than the typical advice given online or by physical therapists and orthopedics, like why I shouldn't heat the area for too long, and a better way to stretch and with less intensity and time). This was after ONE visit and I can't wait to return to continue the treatment plan.

They were able to get me in the clinic within 2 hours. Dr.H treated my back and I felt immediate relief. I was given a triggered point injection. Dr.H gave me a muscle relaxer and exercise instructions to do at home. That night I was able to sleep without any issues. I have been improving on a daily basis and I am completely pain free. Dr.Hennenhoefer is a godsend. I highly recommend his clinic to anyone with musculoskeletal pains/aches and joint issues. My doctorwants to do knee surgery but I wanted to see if I could either delay the surgery or get in the best shape for a more positive outcome. I started working with Albert Chen at the recommendation of a friend and he has been outstanding. My range of motion has improved, amstarting to get some strength and the constant pain has dimenished, particularly as long as I keep up my exercises. Now I am in 1x/2 weeks to keep my motivated to do the work on my own and have him massage my knee and do range of motion stetches. I have seen many physical therapists over the years and he has been one of the best for me.

At her first appointment, there was inclement weather, and we completely understand Stacey's concern for her children's whereabouts. However, I felt it unfair that my mother lost time at her paid appointment due to this. Stacey told her she had another client directly after her, and she refused to go over exercises with her. In addition, the location was unable to schedule her next appointment until March 2020, which was more than 7 weeks out? How is it that you accept a new patient, and you fail to accommodate? The office called several times with cancelations for the same week she had therapy? She did not need therapy the same week, she needed an appointment 2 weeks thereafter. They told us they are short-staffed and Stacey was the only therapist on hand. How is this our problem? I will say the other Duke locations are great, and they are very accommodating, but I would not go back to this particular location again, even if it closely located.

Durham VA Care in Community reached out with approval of approval and how many visits covered. Once scheduled I had in depth comprehensive with Dr Nathani for my initial assessment and then she came up with comprehensive plan which not only included adjustments but massage TENS and physical therapy to help me improve. Its has been part of my life over 2 yrs awaiting my newest approval to return because when rules of pain management changed people weren't offered a step down providers vanished to afraid to give medicine and most MDs have no knowledge of chiro or alternative measures when dealing with pain. Let's hope that people like Dr Nathani are going to keep providing continuous care. Wonderful staff, pleasant office, within mininutes of home and I not only get care having session with PT learning new ways to combat issues.
