It was so refreshing to visit a physiotherapist who actually adjusted the routine to each individual person. Panther Sports Medicine has many locations across the city, but we were lucky enough to attend the clinic with the owner of it all, Scott. He was such a pleasure to be around too. He would talk to me while poking and prodding, and make jokes to keep me comfortable. I could tell that he really knew what he was doing. Perhaps it was because of all the letters and titles after his name! I was glad that after leaving the friendly environment of Life Mark, Panther showed me the same enthusiasm whenever I visited. The girls at the front desk were always happy to see me and remembered me by name, first and last. They actually let me take home and keep a book I was reading while having physio. I completed my physio before I could finish the book, and they said no one else had touched the book in years, so I could have it. It was fantastic. What cuties! The quality of service at Panther was exceptional. They first did an initial assessment to see where my problems areas were and went from there. I still got the heating pad (and a little nap) every time I went in, but they did so much more to my body. I had acupuncture and intramuscular stimulation, as well as full use of an exceptionally equipped gym. Panther provided regular reports to my insurance company, so they could keep their files up-to-date on my recovery as well. Not only was the treatment phenomenal, but so were the people! Panther Sports Medicine should be a top choice for physical analysis and treatment. The physiotherapists really know what they're doing, and prove that to you when they help you make a quick and full recovery.

If he should move to another clinic, I would immediately drive to that clinic for treatment. I have been going to Darcy for the last 5 years. I sustained a serious injury in a motor vehicle accident and though I have chronic pain from it, regular physio helps keep me moving and allows me to do things that I otherwise would have a hard time doing - specifically my love of running LONG distances. When I told Darcy that I wanted to run a marathon, he kept me going and provided me with feedback on what types of training would be best for my body. He's excellent with all types of patients and is realistic about what will work best given your particular situation. He IS a Canucks fan though and he does give me a hard time about the Flames. Sometimes I let him get away with the trash talk, let's be honest, the Flames make it hard to defend them on occasion. I should also mention that the rest of the staff are excellent as well. The other individuals that assist throughout the course of my treatment are efficient and pleasant. 17/30

So I decided to go this place . My physiotherapists was PT Sam. He did a wonderful job, he did thorough assessment to find the root cause of my pain , then he did dry needling , it immediately relieved my pain going down to my arm and hand. With help of TENS machine and hot packs it relaxed my neck muscles , he did manual therapy to release the tension in my neck within 3 visits . Then he provided with me some exercises which was very easy to follow and remember and very effective at same time . I am still doing it at home. And the best part was the way he communicate and explained me thoroughly about all treatment process. He is very knowledgeable. Review #1 Yelp's 30 Day November Challenge…read more I just went for a massage here yesterday at the physiotheraphy clinic as I was having some lower back pain from sitting/sleeping wrong. I called to book the appointment the day before, the receptionist was really friendly. They were full up for same day massages but she got me in for the next day. Time's usually start at quarter to the hour. A 1 hour massage was $84. including tax, so not bad. When I showed up I told the massage therapist about my back injuries from previous car accidents and she checked out my back, the way I stood and looked at my hips. She told me she'd focus on those areas, my hamstrings, my lower back, my hips, my upper back and shoulders. When she started she putting a heating pad on my lower back to warm it up and moved it around through the massage. It was really nice to get the areas I needed fixed focuses on. Sometimes when you go for a massage they spend so much time doing a full body relaxation massage that you don't end up getting your back worked on enough. Overall it was a great experience and I'll definitely come back.

They are both professional and I've gotten good results. They direct bill so if you have insurance, it's a nominal fee when you leave. This is a one stop shop for your medical needs ! I've only seen Ellen once and Devan a few times. Devan is really good to talk to, if you like to talk during massages. Ellen is friendly as well. I definitely recommend AST for aches and pains !!!!

He was patient and caring, explaining everything in an unhurried manner as he treated me, and allowing my husband to video the maneuvers so he could replicate them afterward. He also provided me with exercises to continue the treatment at home. I felt much better after my session and continued to improve in the days after. I highly, highly recommend Dr. Hoover. He really knows his stuff and offers treatment in a kind and very knowledgeable way.

Lesson.. always inquire about how the specific therapists treats (with or without assistants.. focus on exercise versus machines versus manual therapy)

I'm big on health and making decisions that will have a positive impact on my long-term health, which is why about 6 months ago I made the decision to start seeing a Chiropractor on the regular. Doesn't hurt that insurance covers the bulk of it either :). In looking for a Chiropractor I wanted someone well qualified with reviews to back it. Secondly I wanted someone located within reasonable driving distance and affordable for regular appointments. Cummings Chiropractic Family Wellness met all these requirements. I don't pay too much attention to testimonials on business websites as these are easy to make bias, but in doing a public search I found Dr. Cummings has a very strong track record. He has a flawless record on RateMDs, great reviews on Google+ and even a surprisingly strong social media presence (great to see for a medical professional). His actual practice is conveniently located on Elbow drive right in Kingsland Plaza, easy to get to and this Plaza never get's too busy. There's 3 dedicated parking stalls and street parking nearby, I've never had issue getting parking. His prices are very affordable and fair compared to some other options I looked at, I'm not going to quote them here in case they change, but check the fee schedule on their website. Everything considered, they passed my initial search criteria with ease. Upon actually doing my consultation and subsequent visits there was nothing I encountered that would deter me from continued visits. Front desk is polite, efficient and professional. They always work with my schedule and have direct submission for my insurance provider making coming in and out a breeze! As for the Chiropractor, Dr. Grant Cummings is a great guy, always happy, polite, conversational and most importantly professional. He has the professional and educational credentials you would want from a medical professional and is very comfortable/confident in fielding any questions I have. I can honestly say I feel looser and more agile since I started visiting, and the frequency of my "episodes" have decreased as well. Things are especially good when I actually follow the suggested home care methods he provided as well, although I need to work on keeping up on these :). The practice/facility itself is well kept and maintained, very clean and tidy. They were established in 2003 and have a strong working history. As this is the first Chiropractor I've been to I can't comment on techniques and equipment used, but everything seems to be up to date and in-line with what I'd imagine a professional practice should look like. His website can probably speak to this more than me, this is definitely worth looking at, very detailed and well kept website! Their hours are well balanced and go back and forth between an early morning day to a later evening day, great for squeezing in an appointment before/after work! They do Saturday morning-afternoon as well and it even looks like they have some after hours care and mobile options. All things considered, I would definitely recommend visiting Cummings Chiropractic Family Wellness!
