this liquor store has tight parking at night because they have a lot of great businesses around it. Luckily there's only a 30 minute parking if you can catch one which i did. The place has a LOT of merchandise, just never the merch I'm looking for. Too much of a hassle trying to find stuff that's just stuck onto shelves in very little order. They don't carry Dolin vermouth. The owner told me that in over 20 years in the business, he'd never heard of it. Really dude? It's pretty common. You can buy it at most upscale supermarkets. Stopped by King Arthur Liquor and got hit with a credit card surcharge at the register with no signage, no heads-up, nothing. This is a violation of California law. Civil Code Section 1748.1 prohibits merchants from adding surcharges to credit card transactions, and on top of that, California's newer SB 478 (the "hidden fee" law effective July 2024) requires that any fees must be clearly disclosed upfront in the advertised price. King Arthur Liquor does neither, they slap on the fee at checkout and hope you don't notice or don't care. This is flat-out illegal. I'll be reporting this to the California Department of Justice and taking my business elsewhere. Bring cash if you come here, or better yet, go somewhere that actually follows the law. read more

Zero stars if I could. The guy who was usually behind the counter was friendly and helpful. This last time, some other guy behind the counter was eating and he open-mouth coughed in my direction as I approached him. Why no, of course he wasn't wearing a mask, and he made no effort to cover his mouth. I saw some posts on here talking about this guy being a con man. What I witnessed was the exact opposite, I witnessed the clerk walk up to a homeless man outside, spoke to him (as a human talking to him by his name), as I approached he stopped his conversation, opened the door for me and rang me up when I was ready to purchase my items. As I left I noticed he came back outside with a cup of noodles from his and water from his shop for the homeless man outside. He fed him and treated him like a human being. This is the type of business I want in my community and I will keep coming back here because of that! read more

DON'T COME HERE! On 12/10/2020 an employee at King Arthur decided to throw racial remarks at me and my sister. We were leaving the store when he decided to leave his position at the register and meet us in the parking lot and got up in our face while holding up his fist. All while customers were in line. Sucks that had to be their first and last visit to your store. I will be filing a Hate crime report, and contacting the Better Business Bureau to get this place shut down. After the fact, I can tell you this guy was extraordinarily nice and personable through the process, a true con man. If you've been there recently, check your receipt.
