This is THE SPOT! If you guys need a good place to fill you up with a savory meal, come here. The staff are always accommodating, tried the tomato broth and it was really delicious. They tend to play a lot of KPOP but it really fits during the lunch ambiance.
One of my fax places! Hands down! We had so much fun tonight, there was new staff & they were so sweet & got just as excited as my kids & had great interactions with them! I really love the options of what to put in my Ramen & I love the Thai tea here! My kids range from 6 to early 20s & we all really enjoy it here
I can't stop coming here! The Thai tom soup best is the best! They have the best customer service and kid friendly! This is a weekend favorite. I love the cool theme and K-pop music! I'm a huge fan 10/10
Really great and attentive staff. They are happy to jump in and get you what you need at all times. I appreciate that they have pork-free broth options. And the broth isn't salty. Yay! The self-serve fridges filled with goodies are so great, I've never seen any other place do it this way. Everything is fresh and good quality. I wish they offered chicken as a meat option but the beef and shrimp were nice. It's a fun atmosphere and good energy. Their boba drinks look delicious, I'll have to try that the next time I go.
Such a great deal for AYCE hot pot (only $20 per person for weekday lunch), even if the set up is a bit janky. I came with a party of 4 for NYE lunch around 11:30 am, and the restaurant was maybe half full. It filled up as we were eating and by the time we left, there were some groups waiting for a table. The way AYCE hotpot here works is simple. First you choose a tier: regular or premium. All members of your party have to choose the same tier. Then each person selects a broth and meat to start with, and while you're waiting for the pot and meat, you can start getting your sauce and grab additional hotpot ingredients from the fridge. In the fridge, they have a pretty good selection of veggies, noodles, and seafood (including various fish balls). Since it was our first time here, we all went with the regular tier ($20 pp). I got the Taiwanese satay broth which I really liked. All broths default to a pork base, but they have vegetarian base available by request. One friend was vegetarian and got the vegetarian tomato broth, which I personally found super bland. By the time we prepped our sauces and each got a plate of ingredients from the fridge, our individual pots and meat platters were ready for us at the table. After that, we spent the next 1.5 hours leisurely enjoying the food. Of the 3 meat options from the regular tier, the beef was my favorite, but the lamb was a close second. We did get shrimp but I'm not a fan of eating it at hotpot so I didn't eat any. I also really enjoyed the options from the fridge; the seafood options were solid, as were the kabocha slices. However, I was disappointed to see they didn't have regular tofu, and my vegetarian friend said that some of their veggies like the potato slices tasted weird because it was soaked in water. The sauce bar selection was pretty good. It has all the usual suspects I've come to expect from a hotpot spot. For snacks, they have veggie egg rolls and shrimp chips, both of which were solid. Because it wasn't too crowded when we went, we never had an issue of waiting to grab ingredients from the fridge as some other reviews mentioned, but I can see that being a problem when the restaurant is busier. My biggest problem with the meal was the set up at the table. The table was small for all the numerous bowls and plates we had, so it was hard to fit everything on there. Also, because the pots are so high up and the seats are low, I personally found it hard to grab stuff from my pot. In addition, it's easy to accidentally touch the hot pots with your hand as you're reaching for something in the middle of the table so you have to be careful. The set up itself leaves much to be desired. One more thing, because they use the individual pots for hotpot, there's no way to control the heat, and halfway through your fire will burn out and you need to ask the server to give you a new wax piece for the fire. I've never done hotpot before with this kind of pot, and honestly it was a bit disruptive for the fire to go out halfway through. Still, I can't complain too much because the meal was great value for the price! I left completely stuffed.
I went here before when it was newly opened 2 years ago... Then, decided to comeback upon learning that it's now all you can eat style service and was really impressed by their soup base, meat, veggies & toppings options for not too pricey deal. It was a cold afternoon so, We had fun sharing tons of hot soup. Plenty of parking and staff are nice too, not to mention free soup base refill. Added to my lists for hang out with family and friends.
Love this New Hot Pot spot in Northridge!!!! I hope they don't change the prices because it's very reasonable! They have this whole refrigerator with every vegetable you can think of! Stocked with fish balls, mussels and lobster balls! They have a sauce bar as well and AYCE Beef & Shrimp! Amazing service and very clean inside! I brought my mom here and can't wait to bring my Wife back because she will love it! The Schezwan was perfect for me cuz I like it spicy but I really enjoyed my experience and can't wait to go back!
This rating is only for premium. Regular menu is still 4/5. Come here for second time and this time I tried premium but I was let down. Beef belly has a lot of fat. I thought I rib would come out like easy to eat like bite size but it came out like bbq beef rib, bone in. Meat did not fall off and I had hard time eating it. In my opinion premium does not worth the upgrade. Service was still good. All the employees are very attentive. They kept every clean and tidied up.
Delicious. I saw this place on Yelp and tik tok in must eat places in the San Fernando valley. I love hot pot. And unlimited items for 90 minutes is amazing. $20 during lunch is a crazy deal! I would literally eat here everyday if I lived back in area I would definitely come back again
A friend and I love to try new restaurants in the valley. They don't have to be newly opened, just new to us. Having never eaten at Boiling Pot and Boba Street, we had to give it a try. What a treat! I arrived at around 1130am, 30 minutes after they opened. They were already busy, but I was able to get a table for two. The menu is very simple, and the meal is all you can eat. You choose a broth for your soup. There were eight options so there is something for everyone. I picked the Tom Yum and it was very good. Next, you pick two meats from your choice of three in the regular section, or you can upgrade to premium and have the choice of four more meats. We upgraded and I had the beef and pork belly. Both were outstanding choices. While you wait for your meat and broth, you walk over to a bank of refrigerators to get your fixings. There are a lot of veggies to choose from, meatballs, sausage, tofu, lobster balls, imitation crab, squid rings, and the list goes on. There were also three kinds of noodles. Dry ramen and glass noodles, and wet soba noodles. More than enough food for a healthy appetite. Next to that is the sauce bar that has at least 10 different sauces to try as well as egg rolls. You soup is delivered to your table by a three-tiered talking robot. A waiter unloads the robot. There is a wood box with a flame in it keeping the metal bowl of broth boiling. You put your ingredients in and cook your own soup to your taste. Still hungry, then go get some more. If you leave hungry that is your own fault. The service was outstanding. We never wanted for anything. We will definitely return. The place is small so get there early or make reservations.
Good value for what you're getting for lunch. I went with the $19.99 lunch ayce special. I chose Szechuan spicy broth for my base and chose beef and lamb shoulder as my 2 proteins. You then also visit their fridge section, where you can pick up as many veggies and certain kinds of seafood as you like. I chose lettuce, a few kinds of mushrooms and some tofu pieces to add into my broth for cooking. Also, gentleman working there helped me pick the dipping sauces for the meat and I was ready to roll. The meat cooked quickly and was tasty and of pretty good quality. The veggies too, felt real fresh and the szechwan broth' s taste was outstanding . The place itself has a cool, mix of 70's and modern decor and a 4-wheel robot actually delivers the meats to your table. The customer service is very on point as well. Will come back for more.
I tried this place after seeing it recommended on Instagram. Honestly, the broth was really good -- I got the Tom Yum -- and they had a great variety of toppings that were all you can eat. There were a couple of things though that unfortunately made the experience a bit less enjoyable. First, some of the vegetables like the bok choy weren't cleaned super well, so I just tore off the parts with dirt. It wasn't a big deal, but it was noticeable. Second, the chairs were very uncomfortable -- they're these hard bench-style seats that sit too low for the hot pot bowl and fire setup. We ended up eating standing half the time because it was too awkward to sit and reach. Also, not sure if there isn't any AC or airflow due to the heat from the hot pot, but it gets really hot and stuffy inside. Third, this was the biggest reason my experience dropped - I unfortunately saw a roach run across. It wasn't big, but it was definitely a cockroach, and I just froze because I have the worst bug phobia. Honestly, I'm just glad I managed not to scream. I'm not sure if the staff handled it, but I really hope so since I lost sight of it when I panicked. Lastly, they have these robot servers that bring out the meat and drinks, which is a fun concept, but one did drop one of our boba orders. The robots move back and forth through the walkway, so you have to watch out and go around them. I think it'd be fine if the items were secured better before being sent out. Anyways, overall the food itself was definitely good for the price and for AYCE. However, with the overall logistics, cleanliness, and distance wise, I feel like I'd probably go somewhere else next time.
The interior of this restaurant is very interesting. I think this restaurant took over some British style eatery and just kept all of their interior design and furniture. There are Union Jacks and other knickknacks everywhere. But you're there to eat, not look around. I appreciate the AYCE option of this place. However, I will say the standard option is really lacking. You get 3 different option. If you want variety, and decent tasting ones, you really need to get the premium option. I genuinely felt disappointed that I only got the standard option when we came. I found the lamb so flavorless & the beef just ok. Shrimp was good though. I really think the richer flavored meats of the premium option is the way to go. Staff here is very friendly. They tend to leave everyone to themselves so if you do need help, you'll need to flag them down. But once they see you, they are going to give you top notch service. If you order from them anything that is delivered via robot, be prepared to wait a bit & maybe watch the robot take the most circuitous route to your table. Be patient. They're not the smartest of robots. The sides are, in my opinion, the all star of this location. I honestly gave up on ordering more meats and just stuck to cooking their wide variety of veggies, noodles, and cured meats on my broth and eating that until I was full. So while I probably won't rush back here, I would certainly return and try with the premium meats option.

Got the regular dinner option and left stuffed! If you want to get a good package for your money, I would definitely check this place out. You get 90 min of meats of your choice (according to which ayce option you choose) and a full sauce and sides bar. There is so much to choose from. My sister and I went for a quick and casual dinner and did not leave disappointed. We were seated right away when we arrived and even though it was a little busy, we had servers checking on us regularly (filling up our bowls and water, asking for more meat orders, etc) Would definitely check it out! read more

Trying this place for the first time here. Food- I ordered pork bone white soup and went with regular dinner meal. For regular menu, they give lamb shoulders, angus beef and jumbo shrimp. People can choose 2-dishes at a time to order. Soup flavor is good as any other shabu places. Both meats choices are tender and fresh cuts. Vegetables, mushrooms, eggs, and instant noodles as well as dipping sauces are self prepared and self served. Ambiance- their tables, chairs, and decors on the walls are unique. Service- staff are friendly and attentive and served our orders fast. read more
Boiling Pot was advertised as AYCE over Instagram, and I went over to try it out. AYCE malatang is tempting because one often gets too much at the pay-by-weight. The inside is quite spacious, but the seats aren't too comfortable. After sitting down, my friend and I ordered the standard AYCE for lunch for about $20 / person. Many of the items were self service except for the beef, lamb, pork, and shrimp, which had to be ordered in person. Their kimchi broth was a bit weak and less Korean tasting than expected. The szechuan was hints of spice, but overall just tasted like seasoned water. The proteins are indeed AYCE, but the amount that comes with each plate is quite skimpy (see pics). This helps with the food waste, but the staff don't often check in during the meal to ask if you want more... have fun flagging them down! For the price point, it's hard to not enjoy it, but for the quality, too, I wasn't too big a fan. read more

I'm so glad I found this place. I hated driving to KTown for shabu shabu. This hot pot place is definitely good enough. It doesn't matter it isn't specifically shabu shabu (Japanese hot pot) but similar enough to get the job done. They do have miso broth so there's that. I came in for their ayce lunch. The robot server will bring your water, meats and pots. The rest of the meats were brought by actual servers. It is self serve vegetables, seafood and other ingredients you wanna put in the pot. You can make your own sauce so that's pretty cool. I enjoyed everything. They even have boba, hence the name. This looks like a keeper. Definitely will be back. read more
If I'm in the mood for soup I like coming here, it's a gem in the valley! REALLY good portions, and the sauce station is an added plus so you can create your sauce dip for your meat in your hot pot! The beef rib was big and pretty tasty! TIP: ask them to turn off your fire after awhile if your burning your mouth on the soup LOL. Also love that you can order boba. its simple boba not the best but still good! All the booths and tables are so cute actually, when I first walked in an saw the UK flags everywhere I was a bit confused but its a cool vibe. read more
Came here before they were AYCE, my wife wanted us to try again. OMG it blew our mind. Menu is even better than before. unlimited meat, you can choose from standard to premium and we chose premium and didn't regret ! High quality meat and their soup base i think has improved dramatically! i got the japnese curry and my wife and kid got the pork bone soup and they were excellent! I like the way you can get sides of your choice and they're in the fridge at the side end. Lots of sauces to choose from.too! Different kinds of seafood also available if you're tired of eating meat. Service is excellent and very fast. Staff are so nice and friendly here.. Place is clean and very organize. Pricewise very reasonable and well worth it! Same quality, but now with all you can eat! We've been coming here for years now, and honestly I didn't think it could get better. But somehow they did. It's AYCE with lots of seafood options for free and all the meat and veggies you want. Honestly we will be frequently coming back. read more

An all you can eat and cook yourself setting where you dont have to worry about food getting burned or having smoke on your face. You can eat here alone (unlike some korean bbq places) and you have as much meat and sides as you want. You can also change the brother after your finish your first pot so you can try another. The staff is very prompt and as long as you put your empty dishes at a reachable side of the table, they can easily clean it. Their little robot helper is also such an attention getter. I love it. Restrooms are clean, well maintained and well stocked. Also plenty of parking when i arrived after 8pm. Definitely going to return with family. read more
I went here on Jan 28 with my parents and uncle. We got takoyaki for the appetizer. I love the sauce bar and that there are so many veggies and ingredients you can place inside the boiling pot. I didn't like the robot server because it might be replacing a human's job. But it's cute. It was well lit inside and K-pop was playing. Servers were great, they came by with water and asked if we needed to have the fire re-lit since it heats the pot up. read more

Came today on a saturday, and despite it being warm all day, it was actually super busy inside. Despite it being busy, we waited no longer than 10-15 mins for a table & service was pretty fast. As soon as we sat, they gave us menus for drinks & snacks. Got our soup & drinks pretty quickly and they were really good! I got the Tom Yum broth & my mom got the Taiwanese Satay broth. We also got an order of the Takoyaki, soooo goood! 10/10 experience, love it here read more

Came here after on a Friday night after work and there was a short waitlist. Put our names down, waited for about 10-15 mins and got seated relatively quickly. Our service was really nice and friendly. You can tell they are quite busy and it seems like they don't have enough menu? to pass on every customer but he still tried his best to assist us. We both chose the premium ayce set and we ordered beef rib, beef belly, pork belly and angus beef to start. We then went ahead to sauce station and got some appetizers to start. To my surprise, the soup bases were on the table by the time we came back and there is nothing in the base so you need to get your own veggie, fish/meat balls, noodles and such. Honestly I actually prefer it this way so I can only get the thing I like so no waste this way. I really enjoyed the Sichuan spicy flavor that I chose. Not too spicy to be honest just a slight kick. I still added additional chili oil in my dipping sauce to add extra flavor. I really enjoyed the beef rib and beef belly and in fact I reordered them again twice. Beef rib is already cooked and has good flavor already but I still soaked it in my soup base to get some extra flavor (also to warm it up too). They also make great boba drinks here too from just regular milk tea boba to smoothie and fruit tea, they all offer a wide selection on their menu and they are comparable to the ones you get from boba specialty stores. Overall great experience eating here and hanging with friend. My only complaint (if there had to one) is the air could feel a bit thin when all the alcohol are burning from the mini pot and you don't feel too much of the fan/AC. read more
We had an absolute blast celebrating a birthday here! From the moment we walked in, the vibes were great--and the staff, especially Nick, were all smiles and super friendly. The highlight? Such a cute spot! Boiling Point and Boba Street really surprised me--in the best way. The food was delicious, and everything came out fresh and flavorful. I have to say, it's an interesting set up! I love the ambience and the seating arrangements. The broth selection is great and the servers are super nice! They check in on us very often. The self-serve, however, is not very convenient. Veggies and other ingredients are placed in a refrigerator, instead of like a "salad bar" set up. It's awkward waiting for people since there's a fridge door on the way. It's also difficult to scoop out items. It's just a little inconvenience but the overall experience is enjoyable! Great deal especially if you go for the lunch special. Food is really good especially for the price. They have a side/sauce bar for no additional charge. Service was great at the location, and you also get a little robot friend to deliver your food. We went there on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't packed at all (maybe we got lucky and went at a good time). They're located in a small plaza and have ample parking space making it convenient to visit. read more

I'm trying to understand if the pricing is per person or per hot pot. For 3 people, for example, do we each order our own or do we share the hot pot? I've never been to an AYCE hot pot. Thank you!
Their dining options have changed. It's now AYCE and the pricing is per person. The hot pot is for individual consumption and not for sharing. They've removed the ala carte option.
What if you don't want To do AYCE?
There's no other option. They used to have a non AYCE option before, but it's all AYCE now. I am not a fan of not having options as I don't think I would get my money's worth.
How does there AYCE HOT POT work? The picture of the menu for it doesn't have any info I rather know before going and not be confused and rushed to order. Please help!!
You pick your one flavor for the broth then you pick if you want standard meat or the premium (premium option also includes standard meats). Then you get free range of all the veggies & add ons

This not one of those traditional hot pot places where you share. You can if you want to, but they have a small and large size that is meant to for individuals. So you can get whatever you want and she can get whatever she wants.
