At check out this am, we were commenting on how each stay feels every bit as nice and welcoming as the previous. Over the course of 20 years, never the slightest poor experience. The folks at the front desk are always happy to help and make your stay extra nice. They feel more like friends than nice clerks' just doing their job. If you are considering a booking here- you will not regret it. They offer a terrific breakfast selection, including a fresh, hot omelet or s scramble if preferred. For instance, the large suite we booked in Walnut Creek last week included a concierge lounge, which had snacks and drinks all day long. With this booking, all you get is the room, which is a very nice room by the way. Okay, they did give us some certificates for free pancakes in the morning or a free dessert for dinner. I used one once. There is an icebox down the hallway with pre-bagged ice that fills the rooms' ice buckets. Room service is available. The property is located adjacent to the Columbia Point Marina Park, a nice boat landing and beautiful park. A few restaurants are nearby within walking distance. There's a 24-hour Winco just down the street, which is very handy. Our suite included a wet bar, microwave and refrigerator. Two bathrooms was a must for us, which is one of the reasons we booked this room. Even the guest bath has a shower, which is very nice. The bedroom has a sliding door that closes off the living area. The room includes a gas fireplace, which was very nice to have. There's a good sized balcony with a perfect river/park view, two chairs and a table. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Be careful of their Riva restaurant, it's kind of weird. I've never had an untraditional lox bagel sandwich like theirs, and I didn't like it. They also thinly sliced and cooked the ham until it was brown! Whoever heard of brown ham? You might want to ask them how things are prepared before you order. The elevators are as slow as possible; even slower. We had some issues with our room. The air conditioning unit in the bedroom was extremely loud, but they were able to fix that upon our request. The toilet seat in the guest bath is almost falling off. No matter what we tried, the main bathroom shower leaked all over the floor and onto the bedroom carpeting. And, the television is full of large white dots all over the place. The front desk said they are already aware of the television issues, and are working on replacing them. You can search YouTube for "Room 233 at the Lodge at Columbia Point" to see my video of the room. The bed was very comfortable, and they gave us nice pillows. The wet bar included paper towels, real dishes and silverware. The couch folds out to a bed. There are no electrical plug outlets or USB ports at the side tables near the bed; that wasn't good. The suite included robes. Our room was quiet throughout our five night stay.

However we were woken very early at 06.15 with deliveries/staff arrivals occurring beneath our room (204) which was an issue. However when we requested a room move the staff could not have been more efficient and obliging and the following night we slept until 09.30! The whole hotel is spotlessly clean. I ate in the bar one evening (interesting and tasty non typical bar food - very positive comment!) and my server was a lovely bubbly and chatty lady who took an interest in my conversation. If only she had not been at work I would have loved to keep chatting with her for hours......

I would call ahead to see if they can turn the AC on in your room ( its june). While unloading our keys got deactivated.. had to go back to the front desk and get it fixed. He said they get deactivated easily with other cards and phones. We're also asked for a rolling bed, security has go go get it but they said theyre all out. Hopefully will get one tonight. Even after flying home to California, I called again Tuesday and was told there was still no update. When I asked to speak with the manager, her response was, "All this drama for a pillow." That response was completely inappropriate and unprofessional. The point is not how much the pillow cost, it belongs to my toddler and has sentimental value to us. Whether it cost one dollar or much more is irrelevant. After already feeling unsafe and repeatedly following up, I expected basic concern and respectful customer service from management. We opted out of the room service, but they ALWAYS made sure we had enough towels. Which was amazing! The pool was a perfect temperature, and we had it all to ourselves for a little under an hour! Which was great! The breakfast, isn't anything to write home about, but it was filling and proportionate...The pancake make is a trip! lol! They had Darigold Chocolate milk! I have stayed at this hotel three times as I go back-and-forth between California and Montana each…read morespring and fall. I travel with my dogs and need an option that is on and off the freeway quickly but close to an outdoor dining option. This hotel meets all the criteria and in addition the breakfast is fantastic, the rooms are very clean and the staff is great. Additionally, the hotel is dog friendly and very close to a great park where we walk the dogs after a long day in the car. The few restaurants nearby have a small outdoor patio so it works, even though the food isn't outstanding, it works since we are just passing through for one night. We will continue to use this as our stop over for the travel between states!
