Request to move rooms due to noise from staff entrance was very professionally handled. The bedroom/bathroom was very well equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable and unlike some we had no issue with our mattress. However we were woken very early at 06.15 with deliveries/staff arrivals occurring beneath our room (204) which was an issue. However when we requested a room move the staff could not have been more efficient and obliging and the following night we slept until 09.30! The whole hotel is spotlessly clean. I ate in the bar one evening (interesting and tasty non typical bar food - very positive comment!) and my server was a lovely bubbly and chatty lady who took an interest in my conversation. If only she had not been at work I would have loved to keep chatting with her for hours...... read more

Walked in from the river for dessert. Staff was friendly and accommodating to take a seat without a reservation . Sat outside at a long table and had dessert I had the million bars, and my girlfriend had the crème brûlée. They had a wide selection of wine and drinks. Go here if you want your Mother's Day to leave a bad taste in your mouth. Absolutely lackluster brunch complete with overcooked prime rib and curdled scrambled eggs floating in water. $30 per kid for my child to eat a couple pieces of cantaloupe and drink water. $60 per adult for food we had to walk downstairs to get. When I booked the reservation they had a full brunch menu not a buffet. I had to go pour my own cup of drip coffee and they had the nerve to charge me $6 for it. 4 adults and 2 kids and the total was $425 because they included a compulsory 22% "catering fee" and then had the audacity to ask for more tip after being ignored and forgotten by the waiter. We will not be back and definitely not recommending to anyone. read more

For starters room wasn't ready to go at 4pm for check in, they blamed being understaffed. The guy working the check in desk with the tattoos seemed put out that we were checking in. That's unfortunate. Room had a...musk and bedding was worn. Also unfortunate. Little details/basics like having one or two complimentary water bottles in room would have been nice. This is very disappointing, from checking in, the clerk was disconnected, lackluster and absolutely no personality. After getting to our room we noticed some areas of upkeep, but we overall shrugged it off... until room service next morning, this is where I draw the line, nobody answers, leave a message of what you'd like to order, receive a call back confirming order, 30 minutes later food delivered slightly warm, missing utensils, cream for coffee and napkins. Totally turned off, I called to have it removed from the room. Literally only had a bite, when the manager arrived asking about the issue, she didn't give a rip! Her attitude was obvious and that made me even more upset. What's this hotel become? I'm paying for 4 star service and receive 1 star. It's like a low rent motel... I'm not exaggerating. Staff greeted me every time I came in and left. They were very friendly. Fresh baked chocolate chip cookies upon check-in. Our Riverview King Suite was spacious and had 2 bathrooms!!! The only downside was there wasn't a fan near the shower in the main bathroom, only the toilet room and the display on the A/C unit wouldn't turn off at night so we had to turn the A/C completely off to avoid a beaming light from the digital display (not the control on the wall but on the actual wall unit). The view was great. Decks are small and didn't look super sturdy to sit out there. read more

Sometimes you just get lucky! What an amazing find in the middle of nowhere land! Near a Nuclear Commercial Energy Facility, but...it's nice this one time lol. The Courtyard Marriott is right next door and shares the same river space. Otherwise this place is pretty much to itself on this part of the river which is super chill. Relax at night in the cooler months by the fire on the patio overlooking the river or relax in your riverfront room balcony. So nice! There's a spa (open during Covid yay). The lobby area which doubles as a restaurant is way cute. There's a small store for little souvenir type items. The tables out on the patio also double as restaurant and bar seating during hours but after hours it's yours to chill. Heat lamps as well. The rooms are cozy. Modern bath and shower (not all rooms have a bath) The King river view and balcony is huge and nice. There's a large 50+ in TV and fireplace (gas) The bed is WAYYYYY comfy. Omg can't wait to crash hard. They play jazz throughout the hotel which is soothing. Great service. The staff is super kind! Free parking and lots of it. I'll be back if every in this area. Great stopping point between Spokane and Bend/PDX/Mt Hood. The city itself is a bit scary, but this place is above average for sure! Felt safe at the hotel. Bikes! They have free bikes. Love it! Completely shocking and unacceptable. We came back from a fun day of exploring and wine tasting to find dirty wet towels, pillow and blanket laying on the floor, dirty glassware, bed thrown together not properly made, etc. It was like a teenager half ass cleaned the room. All I can say is " wow ". We have had better housekeeping at motels. Disappointing. The Front Desk offered to have " maintenance " come up. It's not their fault. We expected more from what we thought was one of the nicest, if not the nicest place in the tri-cities. read more

I have traveled and stayed at some great hotels across the country and for some reason I am completely drawn to this one in my own back yard (or over the mountain actually). Maybe it's their amazing hospitality, the fresh scent piped in to the room, the super comfy bed, the luxurious toiletries or the well thought out rooms and amenities. Maybe it's just the amazing outdoor spaces that have beautiful views or the numerous things to do nearby. Maybe it's the perfect breakfast to start your day. Maybe it's the fact that they welcome the most important guest in my room, my fur bay, just as much as they welcome me. The little basket with everything he needed to have a comfortable stay was so cute and much appreciated. I absolutely loved everything about my stay and plan to go back soon. My only request to management ... install smart TV's or DVD players so guests can watch movies and provide a way for guests to access the guide so a program can be easily selected. Install a push button on each side of the entrance door so guests can easily open them when their hands (or arms) are full. Noting, it's very much appreciated the hotel staff will eagerly do this if they see you coming but sometimes they are busy or unable. read more

It has a cozy feeling from the moment you walk in. It's very clean and bright. The room is nice and we had a beautiful view of the river. We enjoyed the sunset and sunrise each day. Room cleaning and fresh towels was provided each day. The DrumHeller restaurant in the lodge is delicious. One of the best duck breast dinners I've had and their wine is delicious, as well. The staff, although nice and polite, I wouldn't say they were friendly. They didn't ask if we had any questions about the surrounding area when we first arrived and as we checked out they didn't wish us safe travels or say that they hope we enjoyed our stay and hope we stay with them again. They wished us a good day. Again very nice just not quite friendly. Yes, we will most likely stay there when we visit Richland again. read more

I am a local Tri Citiab, and never had the opportunity to stay at the lodge as such. However, I always recommend my friends and family to stay there due to the luxurious nature of the hotel. This time around my family suggested that I just had to join them for breakfast to try out the amazing menu, and reluctantly, I agreed to do so. I was not disappointed. The menu was absolutely incredible for brunch, and the setting was absolutely perfect setting right along the Columbia river. I ordered the steel head bagels with cream cheese and capers, easily one of best brunch items I've ever encountered. Our food came out in a timely manner, as well as our coffees and sparkling water. The service was exceptional, even though they were apparently quite short staffed. We noticed that there were two servers, and the manager, Conner, came to our table and apologized for them being shorthanded. We hadn't even noticed, however, him coming over and visiting with our table meant a lot to us. Connor had also mentioned to us that they were undergoing a kitchen transformation, and this was only the second weekend offering brunch. I am really excited for the future of this place, and even though I likely won't ever stay a night at the hotel, I will most certainly be back for more brunches in the future, and I will continue to recommend my friends and family stay there. This place is nice, but has kind of gone downhill. They used to have infused water for guests: gone. An awesome breakfast included: gone. Cookies in the lobby: gone. However, if you want to buy the cookie they put on the bed, it's $6.50. Free glass of wine voucher when you check in: gone. The lounge/indoor sitting area for guests: gone. Not sure what amenities are left to cut while raising rates. As you all can see from my check-ins, I've come here quite often. I'll stop recommending this place to friends- it's just not as special as it once was. At least they're dog friendly. read more

Location was the best thing going for this hotel. Don't book a "Mountain View" view room, as that means parking lot view - with lots of road noise. Also, I specifically booked for the balcony, which was so small you couldn't stand on. Plus, wasps were all over the balcony, so I couldn't open the door (which also wouldn't open due to noise ). Generally disappointed and not worth the cost. Sorry, forgot to add their popular cookies that are advertised as "currently available by request at the front desk" are not only not available...the front desk has no idea what you are asking about, when you ask. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash are in refillable containers with the labels torn. Not sure how they sanitize the pumps. The "honor" snack bar had a pistachio raisin nut mix that expired in 2023. My husband paid extra to have a basket of cheese ,wine and salami in the room. We didnt eat it while there, but once we got home which was two days later. The salami had expired two weeks ago. Makes me glad i didn't eat in there restaurant. Called the front desk and felt like I was bothering the lady that answered. Disappointing. read more

Thoughtfully designed throughout. I'm so glad we stayed here for 3 nights. Such a great getaway while visiting family. We were spoiled here...from the cozy, comfortable, clean room to the outstanding hot breakfast every morning with everything for everyone. The surrounding area has a lot to offer to those nature-lovers. You can go for a nice bike ride or a brisk walk on the beautiful trail along the river. Bikes are provided by the hotel. Also, they offer wine social evenings every Thursday through Saturday. Pretty neat. We had a great time here. This immediately became our new go-to when visiting the tri-cities. The Lodge is a first class place. We have stayed at their Lodge at Ocean Shores and decided to use this as our family meet up. We found it also a great and relaxing place, centrally located with lots of wineries and other things to do. Clean and dedicated housekeeping made our stay a pleasure. I like harder beds, but theirs were great for sleeping. I needed an extra pillow for my breathing and they brought one up that day. Rooms on the odd numbered side face the river. Highly recommend that view over the other side which looks down on the parking lot. The doors are quite doors so you don't hear other rooms coming or going. Very nice. The indoor pool and hot tub are extremely nice. The robes are nice to go down and come back in. Drumheller's Restaurant is a gem that deserves a dinner there. See my separate review. We liked it a lot. Both of their Lodges have great complimentary breakfast. Eggs, meats, yogurt, toast, fruit, great coffee and much more. You won't go away hungry and the attendants keep it clean and a pleasure to eat there. The one thing we would suggest is more plugs for electric gear. Putting a desk lamp with an accessory plug, or USB plug would be handy. We did note that the clock on the bed stand has USB plugs in it. Good feature. One last thing we found out was that the ability to smoke a cigar or pipe was not precluded by over-strict laws. We were able to meet the City's 25 ft rule away from entrances of buildings by going and sit down on the nice benches along the river/marina trail. No hassles from passing walkers, so I guess we were ok. We will be back. read more

Really loved my stay here. My flight back home was delayed and an unfortunate connecting flight issue had me stay in good ol Richland another day. But this hotel made the day a lot better. The hotel from the entrance, to the lobby, to the stairs up to my room and to the patio - were all super clean. Each year, I stay at the courtyard marriott just right next door but when I found out my flight got canceled and returned, courtyard had no room for me so I just walked over to The Lodge and I got me a lake view on the 3rd floor. Friggin' relaxing view after a 5 hour morning meeting and a flight cancel-cherry on top. Ill take it. Well see my photos. I forgot to take a pic of the room but it was great, spacious, bathroom is modern/new, overhead shower, and i slept like a baby on the comfy king bed. Oh, and their free breakfast going through 10am. Wtf it was pretty dang high quality. Courtyard didnt have nothing like this and I usually paid more to stay there. Well, IS YOU a caramelized thick bacon lover? Hell, I AM. and I would book here for this complementary breakfast. If you plan to be in this area, maybe stay here instead of courtyard. My fingers hurt from typing this review with excitement overload. But the bar downstairs has pretty good booze. I had a few rounds of "stuff" i cant remember. I'm really disappointed in our stay at The Lodge this past weekend. We had heard such great things! Upon check-in we were given the wrong room, granted it had a nice river view. After making the front desk aware that I had requested two queens instead of a king they corrected it and gave us a room with a "Mountain View" which was a joke, it's a view of the parking lot. The lady at the front desk then handed us masks and said they're mandatory even if we could prove that we've been vaccinated due to the amount of international travelers the masks were "mandatory." If you've been vaccinated what's the point? After day one we quit wearing them as about half of the guests weren't wearing them in the common areas either. We went down to the pool on the first day which was not only tiny compared to the pictures, but wasn't actually outdoors like the staff told me when I called a few weeks ago to inquire about an outdoor pool. It has a roof and there's no way you're going to get a tan there. The icing on top was the pool was filthy. We wouldn't even swim in it and when it was brought to the attention of the maintenance man he got an attitude with me about it. We never swam in the pool or got in the hot tub after that again. We went and bought beach towels and went down to the beach a short walk away. The water was probably cleaner. To "make up for it" the manager did send us a meat and cheese board that my dad enjoyed. However, throughout our stay the staff was less than pleasant and quite snobby. This is a four star hotel supposedly and I've never stayed at a four star hotel where you have to call every day to have your room cleaned. Even on the day we did have it cleaned it wasn't cleaned very well. The bath tub was so small that if you're not a child and over about four feet tall you'll have to cross cross your legs if you'd like to take a bath. The faucet in our room was crooked and looked ridiculous. On our last night we completely ran out of body wash in the shower, so it's obvious that housekeeping doesn't keep up on checking whether or not the bathroom is properly stocked. Overall, this was one HUGE disappointment for the price. I'd rather stay at the Holiday Inn down the road where the service is friendlier and you actually get more bang for your buck and you don't have to request housekeeping everyday! read more

We checked in and it was a great person at reception. Fast forward to us arriving at our room. Maintenance was there and we had to wait outside the door. Why!? Room service -Speaking to Becca in room service I ordered a ribeye medium. I asked for fries instead of mashed potatoes and asked her for sauces. She states "we only have ketchup", I then ask, well is the harissa sauce available that shows on the menu? She states "I'll see if it's available". Why is it on the menu for two items if it's not available? Are you only giving ketchup to people that expect harissa sauce? I then ask about wine. That takes a bit more of back and forth that I was surprised about. For a wine emphasized hotel I was surprised. Food arrives. Cold. Ribeye is not seared. It's grayish in color. There is no sauce or ketchup for the fries. There is no wine. So, I call room service there is a blaming game. Becca blames the "new" person making delivery's. I felt so bad. There is no blame on the delivery person. There is blame on the person plating the order. Which means YOU Becca. AND why Becca is there two items on the limited menu that have this sauce but you deny the request? This makes me more angry than most of the rest of my review. The restaurant is touted as a high end restaurant. But they only have ketchup. Hmmmmm. At this point I'm realizing this hotel thinks they are special and they don't care about the customer. Becca made that clear. The blame game is shameful. Accept the mistake and make it right. Obviously this restaurant doesn't get the need to actually be good with customer service OR food. You are not special. You pretend to be but your service is epically bad. So continue on. You'll be closed soon with your horrible management. I called the front desk and was put on hold. I asked to speak with a supervisor. In comes the villain. Stephanie. I told her that the room AC didn't work and that we wanted another room. I was told that there are no other rooms. She was aware of the no AC and nothing could be done. A complete take it or leave it approach. However on their website they had several rooms available and after I left 11 people checked in to the hotel. And if they were 100% booked what's the fall back for problems. You see no hotel books 100%. None. So if this hotel does they are not the smartest tool in the shed. With those 11 people; why are they special and get the room without maintenance in it when they arrive? Why are they allowed to have a pleasant stay? Stephanie the supervisor. She hung up on me THREE TIMES. The first time because I asked for her manager. Seriously? You're a supervisor? Managers at Burger King have better customer service than you. The second time she was berating me and treating me like I did something wrong. I know that no hotel books to 100% capacity and she could have fixed our stay. Instead she wanted to fight with me and I kept repeating "who is the customer" AND CALMLY WHILE SHE YELLED AT ME and she hung up on me again. I called stating they stuck us in a room with no AC and the supervisor stated I lied and hung up on me again. She stated she was fully book. And I again repeat that rooms are available per their website. She fought with me nonstop. Hung up on me three times and made us have to leave the hotel since she was lying about the rooms. Do Oh, Stephanie. You cost yourself and your hotel a longevity of great publicity and promise of return customers. If you want to continue to hang up on CUSTOMERS maybe you should be replaced until you learn you suck at customer service. You fought with me every time I tried to get your assistance and I was calm. You even fought with me when I said your voice was muffled and I asked you to speak into the phone closer. You just are an angry horrible person who feels she has power. At a Richland hotel? I hope you're cleaning rooms soon to learn the real hero of a hotel. It's not you. Especially after the treatment received. I've stayed in hotels that surpass yours and in other stellar locals. Not on a stinky river. The hotel would do better without horrible customer service from someone with the biggest stick up her bum. And one that is touted as a supervisor who lies. So when calling the front desk for the property management contact, I'm told "maybe he's French". They didn't know who the person was. So Michel your staff doesn't know who you are I'm not surprised you let people like Stephanie run your company like she's god but really run it into the ground instead of run a company that could be epic? And you just sit there doing... what!? And this Alyson S. That responds to everyone on yelp? How full of herself or of the hotel is she? Because she doesn't really recognize anybody's problems she just tries to promote the hotel even more. I've stayed at this location 3 times in the past year during different seasons and typically enjoy the experience. The hotel is along the Columbia River and it is nice to see the different types of vessels passing by. There's a nice walking path in front of the hotel that extends past a golf course, which is paved. The breakfast menu looks decent but I've yet to wake up in time to check dine at the hotel. The dinner menu is more on the expensive side with little options and an awkward seating set up. As soon as you enter the lobby, there's about 20 small tables available to eat at during dining hours. There are a couple nooks to read a book in, a covered swimming pool and hot tub, and a spa available. I've not yet tried any of the amenities. Our most recent stay was this past weekend for the New Year's Eve weekend. The hotel was throwing a party for paid entry, which took up much of the general area for hotel guests. The housekeeping has been louder than usual this weekend and there's a small amount of construction going on. Overall, it's a nicer place to choose from in the area. read more

We had the pleasure of watching the lighted holiday boat parade from our room as well and has some amazing dessert to wrap up the night. My wife and I just stayed there for 2 nights. What an overpriced headache. We stayed in room 403, the "Long Shadows" suite, which was supposedly one of the nicest rooms (more than $300 a night). The room temperature was unbearable; the air conditioner did not work worth a damn, even after I called maintenance and had them "fix" it. We kept our sliding door to the deck closed at all times but the temperature in the room must have been 80 degrees at night. The carpet, bedding and furniture was cheap and old (see attached photos). The "swimming pool" is the size is a postage stamp. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy - it's a dump. read more
