    Old sticky note
    Arthur T.

Super bummed out, booked the "captain suite" for a mini anniversary. Upon arriving to the hotel, Front desk clerk calls out our payment method out loud, asking questions. Reads the private notes I left for them out loud in front of my wife. Which was supposed to be a surprise. (Asked to leave some flowers etc, which wasn't done) That surprise gets ruined. The whole place smelled bad. Half of the place is closed or out service without any disclosures what so ever. The restaurant is closed, The hot tub outside is cemented in. When we get to the room, the jet tub doesn't work, (main reason for booking this place), the jet tub room is not the same as on the pictures. Old sticky note showing jets are out of order, mold in the shower, dirty balcony, etc. Super unhappy for $400 a night. iIt was the biggest disappointment for a trip by far. Was so bummed out with the service I didn't even bother saying anything, seems like no one knows what's going on. Waste of time and money. Hopefully you guys improve for others not to get bamboozled.

How nice the hot tub is at Clover Island inn

Hot tub and pool were really nice but pool really cold but rooms were really nice they also had a gym and sauna ‍ but no weights

The best thing about the Clover Island Inn! Don't pine away in a sea of concrete with a stuffy indoor pool!

While my colleagues were stuck in their chain hotel with non-opening windows that looked out over sweltering seas of concrete and miserable malls full of junk from China, I snoozed and won! Why? Well you see, I didn't make my reservation soon enough with the colleagues, and therefore had to make my own reservation at another hotel. I didn't realize what good fortune that was until I was sitting beside the outdoor pool that looks out over the river, listening to a recap of the hits of the eighties via my fellow hotel guests' boombox, and sipping a glass of my own white wine from the local grocery outlet (in a plastic cup in order to follow the pool deck rules). High class...I know! Yes, the rooms were the usual cheap hotel ugly and slightly musty smelling, but fine and clean. It is locally owned which I like and our room had a view of the Columbia River and the pelicans flying along it. Yay! The windows opened to let in REAL air at night. Whew! The breakfast was as bad as all the chain hotels' free breakfasts with the weird waffle spinner, but this one had some sort of Jetsons-like conveyor belt automatic pancake making machine and that definitely impressed the family. All in all, choose local and enjoy the view.

    Big ass tv

My husband travels for work. He is out for 2 weeks at a time. I came with this time. We were excited when we booked bc we figured it would be long over due break for mom AND dad. Nowhere on the website did it mention renovations. NOWHERE So, I am stuck here with NOTHING to do. No pool no Restruant NOTHING. THE BED IS SO HARD both hubby and I are in pain. We were both up almost every hour bc *bed is tiny *EXTREMELY uncomfortable. Most rooms he gets are extra roomy, seating and a functional room. This is like a dungeon. The fridge is ok, the TV is thee biggest Either one of us has seen in any hotel room ever. Unfortunately every time you shut the stupid thing off you have to basically reprogram it. It has 3 different guide areas that are on a small sheet on the desk. It's confusing and we ended up just keeping it one one station. It would make sense to have a smaller tv that fit the tiny room and invested in the comfort. Now let's talk chargers. This room has 2 usb charging areas and it's a power strip screwed to the wall by the desk. Zero by the beds. My husband had computers radios and phones that need charging. It was absolutely ridiculous when every other room we get is covered with them. We were VERY disappointed. We were planning on while he was IN hermiston to be here. It's at least a year worth of work. Today we leave and find somewhere up to date and comfortable OMFG! Add this, zero locks on the doors leading to and from the staircase. You don't need a key to get on the floor. I have had a stranger attack me and This Should never happen not with the security that is available. We are leaving as soon as my husband gets off. There was zero ANYTHING available except to sit in a dark dungeon with a giant tv no one work!

    Rippling carpet

Not sure how this hotel is getting more than 3 stars, it is close to 2 for me. Pros- Waterfront location. Onsite restaurant. Free breakfast. Across street from a couple nice restaurants. Loaner bikes for a ride on the nearby trail along the Columbia. Cons- worn out to the point that we almost left. Had it not been as late at night when we checked in, we would have left. Carpet is bunching and rippling. Arm chair is tattered. Popcorn ceiling was dirty looking. Bed was stiff and transferred movement easily. All furniture was chipped and worn. Add to the worn furniture, fixtures, and flooring, it was a tiny room. Email we received at booking (short notice) stated they had prime rib in the restaurant, no prime rib- server said they haven't served it since before Covid. It was also on their website. Too lazy to even clean up the marketing!

We found a better rate and then booked with BW. I submitted the form with screenshots to prove the price difference. Please see below for the advertising of price match on BW website. The screen shot of the better price. And the price of bw for the same day. We put on the reservation we had a service animal but upon arrival they were very short stuff us and proceeded to bounce us around rooms to accommodate the animal we had already informed them of. And they proceeded to charge an Additional $250 local fee. We had moved to spokane but were in the area to sell our home. Not locals but they didn't listen. In the end they charged us $434.00. For a room that was not the one advertised or that we paid for. When the price match peeps got back to me they have only argued with me over the price match. They said the price had to be available when they reviewed it days later in order to price match. Meaning my limited low price on Super.com was no longer available 3 days later so they won't honor it. Even with a screen shot. See emails below. Then they told me the super.com was sold out and that's why they wouldn't honor. Then told me it was not a better price. So they wouldn't honor it. See below the price difference is clear. BW before tax: 164.15 Super before tax 146.74 BW after tax: 184.88 Super after tax 164.58 Both show Super lower. So that email is wrong completely. Then the service and room were so bad. It was not the room we paid for. They moved us. Treated us like we annoyed them. So we checked out and left that day. We didn't stay the night. We still have a 434.00 charge on our card. They haven't sent the fee back yet. They told us 4 different prices. On BM receipts say 164.15. Then 184.88. Then 219.88. They charged us over 400$ We didn't even stay. And they are giving me the runaround about the guarantee still and about the way our stay went. For such a big company they are truly showing how they will fight and be stingy even if they are wrong. They say price match in the listings. They even give you a quick run down of the rules for it. But then they hide behind this little stipulation in the fine print that says "if the price matches when they review it..." so however many days they decide to wait before they review it.... if it still matches after that, then they honor the price match.

We usually get a breakfast, sometimes continental, sometimes a full breakfast. For instance, the large suite we booked in Walnut Creek last week included a concierge lounge, which had snacks and drinks all day long. With this booking, all you get is the room, which is a very nice room by the way. Okay, they did give us some certificates for free pancakes in the morning or a free dessert for dinner. I used one once. There is an icebox down the hallway with pre-bagged ice that fills the rooms' ice buckets. Room service is available. The property is located adjacent to the Columbia Point Marina Park, a nice boat landing and beautiful park. A few restaurants are nearby within walking distance. There's a 24-hour Winco just down the street, which is very handy. Our suite included a wet bar, microwave and refrigerator. Two bathrooms was a must for us, which is one of the reasons we booked this room. Even the guest bath has a shower, which is very nice. The bedroom has a sliding door that closes off the living area. The room includes a gas fireplace, which was very nice to have. There's a good sized balcony with a perfect river/park view, two chairs and a table. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Be careful of their Riva restaurant, it's kind of weird. I've never had an untraditional lox bagel sandwich like theirs, and I didn't like it. They also thinly sliced and cooked the ham until it was brown! Whoever heard of brown ham? You might want to ask them how things are prepared before you order. The elevators are as slow as possible; even slower. We had some issues with our room. The air conditioning unit in the bedroom was extremely loud, but they were able to fix that upon our request. The toilet seat in the guest bath is almost falling off. No matter what we tried, the main bathroom shower leaked all over the floor and onto the bedroom carpeting. And, the television is full of large white dots all over the place. The front desk said they are already aware of the television issues, and are working on replacing them. You can search YouTube for "Room 233 at the Lodge at Columbia Point" to see my video of the room. The bed was very comfortable, and they gave us nice pillows. The wet bar included paper towels, real dishes and silverware. The couch folds out to a bed. There are no electrical plug outlets or USB ports at the side tables near the bed; that wasn't good. The suite included robes. Our room was quiet throughout our five night stay.

Who wants to feel their way to use the toilet in the middle of the night? The kids had a great time swimming in their indoor pool & hot tub, we liked the gym here and the best part: walking distance to/from our destination! It's a short 5 minute walk to the convention center (TRAC event) where they hosted the State Championship for Elementary Chess competition. The staff at this hotel was top notch! Everyone was kind, professional, and very customer service friendly. With nearly 2,000 elementary kids traveling for this event, the staff here were patient with kids and families as this hotel was at capacity during our weekend stay. They sell bottles of wine for $10 and microwave meals like Mac & cheese for $5, which the kids were fine with, and ice cream sandwiches/bars for $2, we learned from our friends/team mates traveling with us about the super-long-lines & wait times at the local restaurants (due to our event), and decided to dine-in for a fraction of the cost/time and enjoyed the east-side-sunshine we Western Washington folks never see, while the kids played. There's local dining within walking distance, but with large events going on, it seemed the locals here in Pasco weren't staffed ready to accommodate. If you've read my reviews of hotels I'm kind of a clean freak about having toilets accessible near the swimming pool (who wants to swim with kids peeing in a pool?) and this hotel does it right: there's a restroom with a shower INSIDE the pool area!!! Love it! There's another hotel closer in proximity to the TRAC convention center, but based on our experience, I'd stay here again if I was in the area. Super quiet, huge breakfast, comfy beds, big bathroom size, great staff. Huge shout out to front staff Ken!
