I've been to this place 3 times. The first time, the food was really good but the service was so slow. It wasn't busy and there seemed to be enough help so I didn't understand the slow service. The second visit I ordered nachos - the meat was cold, like refrigerated. The service was still super slow. My husband complained so they sent a gift card. We tried it again today. First timer here. Didn't see a worker until a couple minutes standing at the hostess stand, then got seated. Coffee was better than most breakfast places. I got the biscuit stacker. Great biscuit, soft, buttery, flaky. Crispy hash browns was the next layer, then sausage patty. One of the eggs was cooked to how I asked and the other was over cooked. Huge portion of gravy that wasn't great, but also wasn't bad. The massive problem I had was my whole meal was lukewarm. The other person I was with said all their food was cold even the scrambled eggs. I don't understand because the food came out rather quickly so I figured like a normal restaurant it was going to be hot. Completely ruined the meal for me. We used CG Catering for a small event at Gesa Carousel of Dreams. Fran was super friendly and helpful in helping us decide what items might work well for our event, as well as amount of food to order. Communication and ordering went great. On the day of the event, one of their staff rolled in their supplies and food. Afterwards, we packed the leftover veggies and fruit into gallon ziptop bags that we brought, and left everything there for the same staff member to collect. Will use again in the future. read more

Let's start with the best part. The service, fast friendly and a pleasant experience all around. The ambiance is nice, enjoyable music in the back ground. I've been here a few times but the lack of seasoning in several of the food items is surprising to say the least. Fettuccine Alfredo, bland (more rue than cheese I suspect), tater tots, the only flavor? (fry oil). Fiesta Salad, short on ingredients and no seasoning again. Chicken tenders (flavorless breading). Some of these things could be solved with some salt at the very least. Again the service and facilities are great, the recipe book needs some attention. read more

The only reason I left a one star for this was that the parking was easy as there was no cars in the lot!! There is a reason for this!! I paid $34 for a 16 OZ. Prime Rib ( supposedly a special) Vegetables were not cooked at all and my prime Rib I received was at least 10 OZ of FAT. Since we just moved to town and live near this restaurant I wanted to give it a try. My family and i stopped by on a Thursday at lunch time. There were only about 6-7 tables full at the time (food still took about 45 minutes to get). I can say the restaurant was clean and the waitress was friendly when we did see her. At one point though for about 15-20 minutes I did not see a single restaurant worker in the entire restaurant. Not one waitress, hostess or anyone. One man near us waited so long to pay he had to physically go up to the bar to pay his check. I ordered the teriyaki chicken sandwich and it was so tough and chewy as well as bland. The chicken was way over cooked and hard to eat. My wife ordered the chicken fried steak which actually was pretty good. I wanted to like this place but everything considered (food, service, price) I'm not sure I'll be back. read more

Always great consistent food. The menu is perfect for me or the kids. Plenty of options on the menu without over complication. Drinks for the adults are always made the way we like too. The service is swift and pleasant time after time, we know our servers names because they stay with CG. We also like to be able to watch the games there too without the tv blasting over us talking. If there was ever a concern or question about how something was served it was taken care of immediately, which rarely happens, just an opinion of what I asked for vs what is typical. The jury is still out on this place. Last time (my first time here). I had a delicious crab benny and understood why it was so expensive and took so long to come out. Service was great too. This time, service was still fantastic but my fried chicken and waffle consisted of a fluffy, tasty waffle and a small, super dry piece of flattened chicken breast in a mostly soft or dried out breading. It wasn't fried chicken (or schnitzel or anything similar), and it wasn't worth the time it took to get it, or the money. My husband, my toddler son and I decided to try out CG for dinner. We came around 5:30 on Saturday and the parking was packed full so we thought oh must be good to be so busy. We walked into the side door and had to go all the way to the front, surprising to see the place is quite big and not so busy. We were greeted by a young waitress and asked if we could have a table for 2.5 people. She told us they were not taking any reservation because they had a party of 35 coming in. So I looked at my husband and said, this place can only hold up to 35 occupants? Needless to say, we left without having a chance to try their food, or service. Yes, I'm giving a restaurant that has an item called "Badger Mountain Combo" five stars. We went to visit my husband's aunt in Kennewick, and she said she had the perfect place for breakfast: The Country Gentleman. I figured it would be good down home basic eats, heavy on the meat, no frills. Country Gentleman was that and plenty more. The food was tasty and the service good, which would have warranted four stars, but I'm giving it five stars because of a couple unexpected items and a level of sophistication that you don't usually find in a breakfast place. We ordered the Dungeness crab omelet. Yeah, Dungeness crab. And they weren't stingy with that fresh crab, either. We also split the Wild Mushroom omelet. Usually with this type of restaurant, you get your basic button mushroom. Nope. They had oyster, shitake, and a couple more types in that omelet. All for a great price. My only "hmm?" moment is the schizophrenic message of the decor. It seems like it should be a Marie Callendar's family-style type of restaurant, but it looks like they added a sports bar area that is reminiscent of an airport bar. I guess they want to expand their clientele, but there's a little disconnect between the dining room and bar area. Having said that, it's tidy, pleasant and spacious. I wish they had a Country Gentleman here in LA, but the hipsters would probably ruin it. read more

The big winner was the french toast; 4 large pieces. Sadly, you guys need to up your game! Your customers should feel like they are getting some sort of VALUE by buying from you guys!!! For example, I also ordered the reuban sandwich to eat later....and all I got was a sandwich. A pickle would have been nice, or maybe a small bag of chips or a small scoops of potato or macaroni salad. We went there to celebrate my boy friends birthday last Saturday the 6th. We had an appetizer in the bar to start out and the coconut shrimp was good. We had dinner reservations at 6 in the restaurant. I can already tell they were short staffed and I was prepared for it since it's like that everywhere because of Covid. My boy friend ordered prime rib and I ordered ribs. When his food came out, they forgot to include vegetable on his plate and his prime rib and baked potatoes were COLD. We asked to heat it up in the micro wave and the lady did bring us a new plate of food. But the expensive prime rib and the potatoes were cold again. We were so disappointed we couldn't eat anymore. We didn't get to properly celebrate his birthday and left the restaurant in a hurry. They never offered us an apology or a compensation for the cold plate of food.
