Been there twice on the advice of a friend. Went both times on a Tuesday for the all you can eat crawdads. Food was great. Only problem I encountered both times were the servers. I asked for sweet tea and both times the served me very stale tea. When I sent it back for a fresh batch, they acted as though I asked them for the mass of Jupiter. You would think they make their beverages fresh everyday. Guess they don't know the obvious. read more

My husband and I have an annual crawfish boil every Super Bowl so we always have to wait a year to have a good crawfish boil. We were introduced to this place by a friend and when we walked in we were greeted very politely by a man named Eric. He was also our waiter and was very knowledgable about everything they had in there menu and the drink selections. He was very courteous and let us try all the sauces just to see what we liked. The trifecta was definitely the best and if you like spice then the hot won't be spicy enough. We had calamari and potato fries as our side which was so good and for our boil we had crawfish, king crab, shrimp, potato and sausage. It was delicious!!! We are definitely going to be back again. They are opening a downtown location near the ballpark which will be great for them. If you want to watch a game in the restaurant they have a tv at each booth and all over the walls. Beers were cheap at only $2. Great great place! Only reason why I give 4 stars is because they were out of the blue crab, regular fries and gator bites which were things we wanted to try. One other reason is because it's a little pricey for what you get but at the end of the day I would pay for it because it's so good! read more

I love seafod! And I went with a group of friends to check this place out.... Everything was amazing. Except the fact that everything took way too long. From being seated to getting our drinks and getting the food. It wasn't full either but when the food came none of us cared about it.... Everything was delicious from the oysters to the crayfish, everythung was delicious... Until every single one of us started not to feel so well. It hit us one by one... It gave us major runs *sigh* all of us! Plus myself and my husband were very nauseated and ended up vomiting for the rest of the night and the day after... But I'd definitely go again... I drove 50 plus miles just to be disappointed. Was pretty pricy and the portion was just way small. I ordered a pound of snow crab legs and just got four legs. In two orders I ended up with 9 legs plus a beer and it was 80$. Still left hungry! The waiter was just horrible to was little help when I asked about menu and choices and wouldn't check up on us and we had to ask him for water and a fork several times. This was my second time at this restaurant the first time we went was on a busy weekend night and the service was horrible and the manager was not polite. So today we went during lunch hoping it would be better and I must say that the food was good, we had plenty to eat, and even leftovers to take home. But it could be a little bit more cheaper, and maybe they could add a couple more flavors. Well this is the first time I have done this. I'm writing this review as an employee but not being biased about the food. First off I just want to say Thank You to all of you that have left reviews. I have read every single one of them and appreciate your feed back. With that being said, we work very hard to provide you with the freshest seafood possible so sometimes we may run out. We want you to enjoy the FRESHEST seafood so we order more often to provide that for you. I think it is really neat what they are trying to do here and I respect it. Also, I really enjoyed my experience with the hot and fresh seafood. My favorite appetizers are out Fried Calamari and our Gator Nuggets! I love being able to get a couple Choose 3 Combo's and sharing with the family. And our home made Apple Cobbler.... YUM!!! I think it is a different experience and to be able to eat with your hands, well I LOVE that. Had the king crab and crawfish boil with fries and hush puppies and two sodas....one pound of each and the price was crazy high ..72.00 and you get 4 crab legs at 42.00 a pound !!!!!!! First of all let me say that I am from Louisiana and I grew up on seafood my entire life, my brother sold seafood for years and we know what great! Taste like. With that said I don't claim to be an expert on Louisiana cuisine, I strongly encourage readers to read my review. They claim to have a taste of Louisiana and how incredibly wrong and offensive it was to real "coonasses" if you don't know what a "coonass" is then you have no idea what real Cajun food is! Ok here we go the menu seemed pretty good until they tell you they are out of lobster, king crab legs, blue crab is out of season, so what's left is shrimp, clams, crawfish lol tiny crawfish!! Because honestly crawfish season is actually February through May, but I guess they didn't actually know that! And they had snow crab legs. So they say they throw everything in a sack and boil it! Which is a great way to soak the seafood and infuse flavor, but what actually happens is they already had the products boiled in what taste like water only first and then they dipped them in some type of greasy "hot" sauce which you pick for your spicy season, I thought it was weird when he asked what flavor, because how it should work is the seafood should be boiled in a spicy bath of boiling water and seasoning, with potatoes, corn, and Sausage! Not dried out quarter inch cut up hot dogs! Now the way you cook the seafood is you boil for a extremely short while and let them sit in the bath of amazing spices for an extended period of time, it's simple the longer they sit the spicier it gets, so you taste the product every so often to gage the perfect flavor for your heat levels. This obviously did not happen. Everything was so dry! The snow crabs taste like chalk they were so dried out and the shrimp was hard to peel and flavorless, the crawfish were extremely small! And again that's due to them being out of season! This place was horrible! Don't waste your time or money! Over priced! I got 3lbs of mixed 1 lb of crawfish 1b of shrimp, and 1lb of snow crab legs because that's all they really had, and it cost 56.84 Jeeeeze!! After which I asked the waiter and he said Oh! The choose 3 is half a pound each, well thanks for correcting me when I placed my order. The only reason this place has one star because I can't leave zero stars! Never Again!! read more

Took my daughter for her birthday, no fried shrimp, catfish or hush puppies. Lobster Roll that was served cold other Lobster Roll was not eaten, Cod was ok, fries were laden with lots of salt which masked flavor of potatoes. All dishes were delivered at different times. Waitress was nice but restaurant was under staffed with waitress tending to restaurant and bar in adjoining bldg. This place has been permanently crossed off my go back to places. read more

I was informed about King Crab, especially having expressed my desire for crawdads to a friend of mine. After reading the plethora of other's reviews I decided to take it upon myself with friend in tow, to finally come face to face with this crustacean restaurant. I was immediately overwhelmed at how clean the establishment was, along with the pleasant demeanor of the staff. I liked how persistent Aaron our waiter wanted to brief us on the menu an inform us of what the current prices were for certain items. I ordered obviously the crawdads and was taken aback at how wonderful and inviting it was to my tastebuds. Lastly, I noticed they have an outside patio in the back too, which I'm sure will start getting quite packed in the upcoming warmer months. Was told about this place from a friend, so we checked it out. We were going to have a party of 4, and were waiting for the other half (placed name on waiting list). So we waited at the bar. Looking round this place, it was nice with different decor from other seafood places. The bar tender was a good guy (made a good hurricane) and had an ice tea. We were called for out table in which I had to close out the bar tab. The place was busy, but kept getting passed by literally all the staff. No one checked in on us. After 20 min called over the waiter from the table next to us to inquire who our waiter would be. The waiter George said he would take your table. My two other friends ordered more drinks. We proceeded to place our food order. We were told by George that they were out of lobster, king crab legs, and hush puppies. (Kind of like a pizza place running out of cheese and pepperoni). We each ordered the combo broil with a mixture of seasonings (garlic, Cajun, and hot) I must say it was tasty. There was this young lady that places a large piece of construction paper down. It seemed like that was her only function, because I had asked her for some more sweet & lows and never got any when I clearly saw the box behind the bar. The broil was pretty fast to come out. I know George was busy. But their system was lacking unity and team work from practically all of the employees at the front of the house. There was so much confusion, I can only say since this place opened ten days ago they have time to make corrections. If not I don't see this place lasting long. Initially excited about this new place in El Paso, however was soon displeased with the level of service we received. Initially waited for about 15 mins before asking about a table that was just sitting there keep in mind there is limited seating, when I was told there was a reservation for the empty table. Now I understand the reservation concept however we waited 40-45 mins before we left & the reserved table was still empty! I'm sorry but this may be one reason why some local establishments are not supported. read more

I came here on a Wednesday night with my significant other. We are both from California and have tried plenty of seafood boils and have yet to find any seafood boils in El Paso so we usually just make it at home. I was then informed by a friend about King Crab. We weren't expecting much from this place but boy was I wrong. The price of what you ordered was determined by the origin of the seafood and its seasonal pricing. We ordered 2lbs of shrimp. Both trifecta.....2 different spice level... hot...and the hottest one( don't remember the name). Hot wasn't my favorite because I particularly don't like the flavor of regular hot sauce. The shrimp was large and was cooked perfectly. We also order oysters ($1) and oyster shooters($1.50) which was that price only on Wednesdays, all day. That was a major plus because I love oysters and man it was so clean. We also ordered fries and macncheese, which wasn't bad but nothing spectacular. Our total bill came out to be $57.00. The only down side was it was a little over pricey, considering back in Ca I would pay $9.99 for a pound of shrimp. But overall I would come her again. read more

Well, we started with hush puppies, those were burnt. My wife ordered snow crab legs it was delicious. The best she ever tasted in a long time. I ordered fried clam strips with cajun fries it was awful. I got 3 clam strips and all fries. Stick with the main selection to order from. I went in expecting great quality seafood....WRONG. I ordered a 1/2 pound of snow crab legs and 1 pound of crawfish. First off the board says the crawfish are from Louisiana but they tasted like they were bought from Albertsons. I have bought crawfish from Louisiana and there was definitely a difference in quality that I noticed. I think putting random places on the board makes people feel a little better about the prices. $12 for 1/2 pound of snow crab legs and $10 pound for crawfish. Once I started eating I noticed the crab and crawfish were both over cooked. The trifecta sauce had a great taste but it's just on the outside and on the vegetables. None of the seafood tastes like the sauce. I think they cook the seafood then put the sauce on. It would be better if the food was cooked in the sauce to add flavor. I should have known better when I walked in and the place was empty...lesson learned. 2 stars for good lemonade and a good sauce read more
