I LOVE King David Gallery! Sara and David are amazing people to work with and clearly take great pride and care in what they do. My husband and I moved directly one floor below our old apartment but it didn't have mirrors in the living room so that had to be corrected. What do I know about having mirrors installed? Nothing! I just know I like watching the sunset and the increase in positive energy I get from having them. I started my very short journey into my search and found King David Gallery. I liked what I saw. I wondered if they would take on a project like mine so I contacted them. I gave Sara what I thought were the dimensions and she gave me an estimate. David came over to do the measurements and boy am I glad he did because I was way off! Sara let me know that the price would be different and that makes sense. The price was still much less than I was expecting. Again, what do I know about mirror installation? The day of installation came and I was something. I was anxious and excited and nervous. What if my husband didn't give David the right instructions of what I wanted at the consultation? David and another gentleman arrived on time and were wonderful! I'm immunocompromised and my husband underwent radiation in December so I am very grateful they were masked. I think I just digressed. Sorry. Back to the mirrors! The side panel of my mirrored table was cracked (from cat fight) so I sent a picture of the damage to 4 mirror repair companies in Manhattan. King David was the least expensive by far. Many companies replied this was very difficult to repair and that I would not be guaranteed a satisfactory result. No such worries from King David. David came over to measure, then at another convenient time installed the new mirror. The guy knows what he's doing and is so nice, taking extra care to clean up and vacuum up any teeny glass shards that may have escaped our notice. You may be thinking it is impossible to find a reliable and affordable glazier in Manhattan. But look no further than King David's in Chelsea! I decided to take on a 100-year old pre-war door as a shelter-in-place project. After scraping away at gobs of paint, I discovered an incredible glass pane that was impossible to salvage. So, I knocked it out and hoped for the best. After trying estimates to find a replacement pane at a couple of places (asking north of $1,000), I landed on King David after a lucky internet search. Sara and David immediately made themselves and the showroom available by appointment. We went through various samples and the specialty glass was cut in good time and delivered to my doorstep. David even helped with some pointers regarding installation. There is no other place to go in the city for any glass need from boutique to commercial glazier projects.
