My 2nd review for this business. They have not disappointed. My wife and I needed an emergency pressing for a function we were going to attend. It was the middle of the day and we thought it was too late. But we attempted. Aristotle and Tiffany were very polite and helpful. They understood our situation and were more than helpful. Have been using King Dry Cleaners for going on 3 yrs for cleaning and alterations, excellent service including a text message to let me know my order is ready, usually early or on time. We first spoke with the business manager of this establishment on the phone regarding some drapery panels we needed hemmed, and he told us to come in and speak with Veronica regarding pricing, etc. We came in the next day and Veronica was very pleasant, quoting us $50 to hem our pair of panels. However, later that same evening, the business manager contacted us via text message close to 7pm at night on our personal phone, and was very combative and inappropriate. He was apparently upset about the price that had been quoted and told us they would not hem our panels and to go find someone to "do that AT YOUR PRICE". It was perplexing that not only would they turn away business in such a rude manner, but that the manager would think it would be appropriate to text a customer in the evening so combatively. We will never use this company again and will make sure our friends don't either. Completely unprofessional and disappointing. read more

Every employee has been absolutely professional and friendly without fail. Quality of dry cleaning has been standard, slightly less than great, but acceptable. Until one day I arrived to pick up where my clothes were separated into 2 plastic sheaths. I opened one set because I needed to wear the suit jacket that day, and I discovered that entire set was dirty. At pointing this out to the man whom at the time I did not know was the owner, he offered to give me a roller to remove the bits myself. I declined. He said he would give credit back for that set and that they would work on it and get it ready for me in x days. I asked for a new receipt to show they took it back. Fine. Next time I come by, he was not there. An employee brought them to me and showed me they tried to clean it but couldn't. I am confused, as these suit jackets were not stained or had spills, just had fur from being in the car during transport to the dry cleaner. I should have just cut my losses, but I accepted her offer to try again. I mentioned that I did not yet see any refund. She said she'd let the owner know. A month later, I return, and I take the suits back. They look much better, not pristine, but at this point I just want them back. I mentioned that no refund had been applied. She called the owner from her personal cell and handed me the phone. I let him know who I was to jog his memory and kindly asked about the status of the refund; I was flabbergasted at his immediate attitude saying he would not give me credit because they fixed it. The more I spoke to clarify, the more antagonistic the owner got. He was raising his voice chewing me out, so I handed the phone back to her while he was yelling on the phone still and told her she was absolutely wonderful but the boss was appalling. The refund didn't matter ($14). Berating a customer for following through on the owner's offer that he initiated without prompt? That matters. I hope he doesn't treat his staff like he treated me. Not a fan! I looked on Yelp( what I do for every decision ) and saw that this place is near me. It had so many stars , I was exited to go. The young girl at the counter gave me a slip to bring next time and said to come back in three days. Completely fine. I forgot about, but they never called. I remembered on Friday. They had my comforter sitting on the counter near others. No slip on it and not with my other blanket. She could not find my other blanket. The young girl just told me to come the next day because she could not get a hold of her manager to find out where it is. Well the next time I could go back was today, Monday. If you misplaced a customers item, I shouldn't have to either pay for it or just apologize from the manager! And call for a courtesy, it will be the best way to have great customer feedback. read more

In this case, the customer service was poor on the phone so why would I ever want to see how it is in person? I started coming here just because I work in the shopping center, but now I take all my stuff to King for regular cleaning. Good prices, and they're great about having your items ready when you need it. I took my snow coat in a few weeks ago without a rush to get it cleaned and it was still ready within two days. This weekend I dropped off two more coats, and when I asked how long it would be before they were ready, they told me they were pretty busy/backed up, but they still asked me if I needed them done by a certain day- which was really considerate. GO ELSEWHERE!!!!!!! I wrote a good review for King Dry cleaners at the request of the owner. They gave me some free dry cleaning because they had messed up on my new pant multiple times. I said okay and continued to use there service. I dropped off a batch of clothes and some pants that needed to be hemmed. They said the pants needed to be shipped out and would be a week later than the other clothes. I came back two weeks later and they did not have my pants and told me to come back later. I forgot about the pants and came back a month later and they could not find my pants. They said they would call me when they found my pants and they did not. When i got curt with the owner about loosing my pants he told me he could not be held responsible. King Cleaners ruined our item. After the birth of our son we had family in town and our family got dirt on our white coverlet in the guest room. We took the coverlet to King Cleaners for dry cleaning only to have it stained with pink. The owner was unwilling to resolve this issue to our satisfaction, we wanted him to cover the cost of an equal or similar replacement. His only offer was to refund the cost of the dry-cleaning. Which we found unacceptable because we have basically equates to us having our item ruined for free and does not cover the cost of replacement. The owner was very disagreeable and inflexible. On Saturday, August 3rd I sent a msg via Yelp to this business asking for a quote. I needed one ladies sweat pants hemmed and I needed the yellow stitching placed on 2 pairs of jeans. The hem was correct but it was missing the yellow stitching. The price estimate was $15, subject to seeing the items and it said estimate was good for 5 days. On Monday August 5th I drove 75 miles from Quincy, CA to Reno, NV to King Dry Cleaners at 5150 Mae Ave. I took the 3 items and the email estimate into the store. The clerk immediately said $45! She said they charge $15 to hem (only one item needed hemming). I produced the estimate and the clerk insisted on calling the owner (who gave me the estimate). He backed up the $45 price! There was NO difference between what I brought in and the items described in the estimate. This is a complete BAIT and SWITCH!! Why provide an estimate if you are not going to be honest? I will never use this business again and I strongly advise no one else to! read more

I've been coming here for over a year now because it's close to my house. However I will not be going there anymore, because I have received poor service many of the times I have come to pick up. The man who work there are entitled and will ignore you as you walk in the door. This morning I went to pick up my suit which was supposed of been ready five days to go cording to the email end it was a ready. When I asked to Just take my pants I told the front desk that wasn't going to pay the full price. My boyfriend asked me to iron his dress clothes yesterday for a wedding we're going to today that's out of state. At 1pm yesterday I pulled out the dress clothes to find his dress pants were covered in wine stains and his shirts hadn't been cleaned. This review is not for their dry cleaning but for repairs. Several weeks ago I took my duvet in for a small repair and cleaning. I asked them not to clean it unless the small tear was repaired. Well, they cleaned it before they repaired it. Many more rips occurred. The seamstress finally called me after it was cleaned and said that she could fix it. Awful.
