I was given a price of $18 for each lock to be re-keyed on a house we purchased & told them the brand of locks they were. We had 15 locks. I was not told that the cost may be more, based on the type of lock. When they got there, the price went from $18 - $35. $525 total versus the $270 we were expecting. We went ahead and used them because they were there and we had security issues with the prior owner and being in the middle of a move, where time is money, we had no time to deal with starting over, but felt a bit bamboozled. read more

I contacted king key for a new key for my Volkswagen Jetta. He quoted me a price of $378 for a universal key and he came to my home with the key and programmed it. Not more than 15 minutes after he left I discovered that the original key only opened the trunk and doors and would not start the car. I contacted him immediately and ultimately he promised that he would come take care of it. It is now been nearly a month and there have you been two no call no shows and when I can get him on the phone he says yes that he would come fix it. He blew me off last week and he has made the comment to the dealer "why is it my fault that his key doesn't work". This person is a liar and a thief I am very upset and this person has no conscience. I contacted Volkswagen and they advised that I would have to pay $165 to have both keys programmed. Essentially I paid $378 for a spare key and I still only have one that works. I have been lied to and ripped off. When someone shakes my hand and tells me something I expect it to happen. This person has no ethics. The screw in my Key Fog fell out, so it was loose and would crack open at times. I went to a Jewelry Store and tried to get a watch screw in its place, but that too fell out. I couldn't find a screw that would work, but then Joey came to my rescue! I was exiting the Freeway at the same time as Joey, where I noticed his "King Key" work Van. So we were asked to delete our negative review about 10 day ago, and they promised to resolve the issue. Well here we are still in square 1 everybody blaming everybody and no refund for a service we didn't receive. They keep saying they are investigating the issue, but what is there to investigate? We have all the receipts and proof they didn't fix anything on our vehicle, and we had to go to a dealership to get it fixed. Joey is seriously the best, I've had the worst weekend! Friday my car broke down 3 times (battery and transmission problems) and as a pet sitter you always need a car! With my rental I'm not used to the regular old school key just my push start button so i somehow moved too fast and locked my keys in my rental car. I bought a replacement fob off Amazon, called these guys up, their guy came by the house a bit later that day, had the fob programmed in about 2 minutes, cut the new key in about 2 minutes after that, paid them cash and they were on their way.
