Overall it was an okay experience not like how the others I had read. It was a non-business vehicle that came to my house. It did take more time than told, I like to be told approximately what time and be estimated more time than be estimated less time and arrive 10-30 minutes later. The guys that came out there had the keys already made and asked for the payment in cash. I don't carry cash so they said that they can follow me to the ATM. I only use a credit card, so the guy gave my information verbally over the phone so my payment could be made. He then told me that the price that I was quoted didn't include the tax. I didn't get quoted the right amount. I didn't get a receipt until I asked for one... I can go on and on... it was an awkward experience. read more

Joey is an independent, local business man. The other locksmiths around town quoted me $160 to program my car key fob I bought from a third party (replacemyremote.com). Joey, however charged me $95 and was able to provide same day service, approx 3 hours, from the initial call. I look this company up on Yelp. They had over 200 reviews and a 5 star rating. I called them because door knob on my front door was acting up. When I called apparently a answering service answered and the technician called back. They showed up on time there was no discussion of cost, or estimate provided. The technician was here for 45 minutes and charged me $316!!! We went online for the Schlage Lock. To purchase a new complete front door lock set was $275. The complete set. Trust me this is a scam and not only would I not recommend this company. I would warn you away. read more

I contacted King Key based on the 5 star reviews. I told them that I needed 3 doors re-keyed. I asked the price and they told me $25.00 dollars per lock. The very kind gentlemen (the tech) asked me what they quoted and I told him $25.00. He told me that he would need to contact his boss as that was not the right price. With his phone call, the price went from $25..00 to $45.00. I said I would only pay the quoted price. The tech contacted his boss again, and the price went down to $35.00. I explained that I am a straight forward person, and if you quote me $25.00 that is all I will pay. I expressed my apologies to this gentlemen, but that is not how I do business. A more thorough conversation should have taken place on the phone before he quoted me. I would recommend calling around for a quote before using them. SomeBetter communication should take place with your customers instead of wasting peoples time. read more

First, I was initially impressed that the locksmith showed up at my home exactly as scheduled. Second I want to note his knowledge of the various locks and mechanisms throughout my house and his honesty in which he didn't attempt to inappropriately address some of my issues. Instead he referred me to the sliding door company themselves. He fixed one of my problems without difficulty.
