Food needs work. Burger was similar to what you get in a mediocre diner or a cafeteria. Fries were okay. Lobster roll nothing special. The soft serve is really the only reason to come here. If the cooked food were better the place would be amazing, but they are plenty busy as is so why change just for the food snobs? read more

They're very efficient and don't generally like to chit chat from what I've seen, but it's usually because the place is packed! They have grill food too like chicken nuggets, hotdogs, etc. parking can be challenging if it's crowded, but they have a ton of picnic tables for seating. Highly recommend :) read more

Hello, my first experience with king kone was diarrhea. I ordered 2 hot dogs for 3 dollars each. I was told condiments were outside. They were served to go fashion in a large styrofoam flip top container. I dressed my 2 hotdogs and went to my work truck which was parked next to king kone. Upon picking up the hotdog which was in the bun dressed by me the first thing i nkticed that the bun appeared to be just thawed from frozen. My first bite was a cool not cold a not even warm hotdog. My partner suggested to just eat it and not complain. I did so and i should not have. I ate both because eventhough cold and at 3 dollars each i assumed probally albeit my own fault tjat all will be ok. I was completely wrong. Upon ordering i said goodafternoon how are you and was greeted with a smile by the young lady taking my order. Upon giving this young lady my order and paying i said thank you and was responded with nothing. I will returning tomorrow june 5 2018 to inform someone there of my experience and politely ask for a refund which i do not expect to be honored. My next visit will be to somers town hall our whatever facility houses the department of health, ornas a last resort the Westchester county department of health. This is probally a decent place at times but i believe not somewhere that can be trusted all the time. read more

As we were driving around the Hudson Valley, I mentioned I wanted ice cream and my boyfriend knew just where to go! Located off the highway, there was plenty of parking and lots of cute picnic tables lined up around this old ice cream stand. I went for the "world famous" twist softserve rolled in sprinkles. Rich and light and with the cutest colors of sprinkles all over it. It was the perfect treat! I wanted to try *everything* there,so I guess we'll have to go back! Typical fast food fried options and very, very delicious soft serve ice cream. No public bathroom, except for the port-a-john. Sand box/area for kids is pretty well-used and pretty darned gross, but who cares. Kids love it. Bring hand sanitizer so they can clean up before eating. read more

There's a reason there's always a long line. This is a place your order-call your number-sit outside in picnic benches, while the kids run around and play. Even now that my kids are teens, we still all go, and love it. They have hotdogs and other ffast-type foods, but it's the soft serve ice cream/sundaes/shakes/ etc. that's the best! I'LL HAVE SOME DEGRADING REMARKS WITH THAT ICE CREAM! The ice cream at King Kone isn't worth the pain of dealing with the incompetent and rude staff. The kid serving me was baffled when I gave him $20.25 for an order that cost $14.25 and couldn't figure out how to use the cash register correctly, so I had to tell him how much change to give me. Then another staff member put the wrong candy in my flurry. When I went to exchange it, the man who seemed to be running the place was extremely rude and actually yelled at me. He told me that he's willing to "remake the exact same thing" as long as I don't return it again like I did the last one. He ridiculed me in public by making me approve each step as he made the new flurry, and he even went so far as to point to the label on the peanut butter sauce repeatedly to make sure I was clear about what was inside. I can handle total incompetence, and I don't even mind an ice cream server not knowing the difference between snickers and peanut butter cups. But I cannot tolerate being ridiculed and yelled at by a stranger for his own mistake when I just wanted an ice cream at the end of a long day. read more
